Hi Brother,

The flasher is Highway Indicator, but I don't think so that is creating issue.
I gave my bike rest yesterday and today when I re-checked all of the things before going to SC, I was surprised to find there wasn't any coolant in the reservoir. This happened only after 10 days I had a coolant top up. As of now, I have the bike with myself, topped up coolant, I will be testing it for next two days and then I'll be taking it to the service center on Saturday.



P. S. Today, I noticed a strange change in my bikes throttle response behaviour also. I'll be sharing this experience after I get the prior one solved.

Sitara isn't that bad, they know me for past 8 years and scaring them a little from time to time keeps things under control.

I chose the RS 200 over the dominar as I wanted something that was fun and efficient. Dominar will give 19 kmpl under worst conditions . Rs 200 will give you 28kmpl.

Under best conditions, RS 200 can give about 43 kmpl (personally got this ) and dominar will give about 32-34.

I use the bike for daily commutes to work so the efficiency makes a big difference for me. Later on, I can blindly go for a bigger 600cc as my weekend bike and use the RS 200 for daily commutes which it does in a very sporty way.

Also Currently I had a budget of max 1.7. also abs is what I just had to have .

Hello Everyone,

I got my problem with the radiator fan resolved.

I'll try to write it as short as possible. Don't get angry if this post gets longer than usual post[emoji13]

So, After two days of my Wrangle True Wanderer Journey, I experienced some heating issue with my bike. It was for the first time I saw the overheat sign on my RS only after riding it for 20/30 mins. (from office to home i.e 7/8 kms roughly at around 40+ temperatures). I took the bike to service center the other day and the SC guys said, sir this is something serious and we'll look into this, so don't expect we'll deliver your bike today itself. I told them, I don't have any issues with the time to have my bike at your SC, the point is the day I come to take my bike, it should be working perfectly fine.

So, after a lot of procrastination of SC guys, they gave me my bike after 6 days. The radiator fan was not working. I was happy until next 5/6 days, when I again faced this problem.

It was for the third time, the bike was going to the SC.

I was furious this time, as they replaced the temperature sensor last time and then said the bike will run perfectly fine now. [emoji36]

During these 20 days, I have already topped coolant 3 times. [emoji52]

I went to the service center again, and they started making stories about the coolant getting leaked somewhere and that is why the radiator is not working. *bullshit* [emoji243] [emoji90]

I got my coolant topped up, waited for Saturday and headed to Head Service Center.

I spent my whole day there and here's what I went through.

1) The SC center guys started removing fairing, until I noticed the fuse box. I asked him to open that, when we opened that, I lost my mind completely. The last guy who worked on the bike, replaced the radiator fan fuse of 7.5 Amp with a 10 Amp fuse. The reason, everytime the radiator fan didn't kicked in at the right time, the fuse blew out so he decided to put in a bigger fuse that will eliminate this problem. *neglecting all the problems that might happen just because of his careless behaviour *

2) Next, in the last service the guy replaced my temperature sensor when there wasn't any problem with the sensor, the radiator fan was the main culprit. We replaced the old fan and the radiator worked everytime.

3) In the last service the SC guy who removed my fairing broke a small nut which holds the tank cover.

4) After, my last service I was facing issues with the throttle response. On checking, I found it to be filled with carbon which hampered the bike's performance at lower throttle levels.

5) I'm never ever again going back to Bajaj Service Center, Sector 14, Gurgaon. Their staff suck and they don't have proper man force to deal with RS. They consider themselves as scientists and their test items are our bikes.

6) I'm going to complain bajaj regarding all of this. I was charged by this service center even after the bike was in warranty.

I had a really bad experience just because of the inexperienced SC guys at this service center.

I'm really sorry for this long post but had to share this with all of you. We may neglect the fact that if we have given our bikes at SC, the SC guys will take good care of it, but it is not always the case.

Wow, such level of incompetence from SS... From what I understand, your radiator was not working and that led to temperature going up. SS people changed temp sensor, topped up coolant, kept the bike hostage for 6 days, endangered the wiring by putting 10 amp fuse in place of 6 amp. And the culprit was just the radiator fan!

But if the fan was faulty, how come it worked when you got back the bike from SS for the first time?

First Bike Delivery

Hey all, I'm going to buy my first bike RS200 NON-ABS. So what all should I make sure about before the booking and delivery of my bike? Like services, accessories etc. Please enlighten me on this asap.
Btw when I went to test drive at one of the nearby showrooms, they gave me a bike which was imported to be delivered which I came to know after test drive. So I'm worried.

Even I was confused with that fact. However, it might be the case that the fan worked because there was a 10 Amp fuse and topped up coolant. But as soon as the coolant was at zero, the bike again stared showing signs of heating. The fan refused to start again. However, when I took it to the service center, it started the first time, but failed all the times after. We tested the fan four times. It was some fault with the motor in which it sometime worked and most of the time it didn't.

I didn't notice whether the fan work most of the time, because I travel only 7/8 kms everyday, from home to office and back and the short ride doesn't let the fan kick in every time. I noticed it when I got stuck in traffic for one hour. [emoji36]

My 1 day old RS200 is overheating. Should I be worried or will it be okay after first service?

First of all, I'd suggest please prefer an ABS one, having a angel on one of the wheels is better than not having on anyone.

Here is the basic pdi check every bike should be checked for.

Others, please let me know if there are any more pointers to add to this list, I will edit accordingly.

1 Ensure there is no dent or scratch mark on the whole body, especially the lower parts.

2 Check the tyre thread patterns, and look for the thin green line on the centre of the tyre to ensure that the bike has not been used as test bikes.

3 Check that mirrors aren't very tight but bolted tight

4 Do look for abnormal gaps between the seat and the panels.*

5 Check the coolant level and Ask for topped up coolant

6 Check the Brake oil level for Both front and rear brakes

7 Ensure vehicle can be locked properly, and smoothly. Note that the bike can be locked only on left side.

8 Ensure all the engine kill, light switches & brake lights are working. Check atleast 2-3 times.

9 Check for rusts anywhere on the metal parts (Frame, forks, brake pedal)

10 Make sure you have more than adequate fuel

11 Check for first aid kit.

12 Start the engine (Don't rev hard all through). Rev a little and check if its is smooth and the RPM metre in the instrument panel matches with the revving.

13 Check if the instrumentation is working as per the buttons

14 Check for abnormal vibrations.

15 Ensure the chain is lubed well

16 Check the chain slack is within normal range.

17 Check for tool kit & number of pieces. Current owners please confirm it.

18 Invoice copy

19 Insurance copy

20 Pollution under control sticker

21 Ensure that RC book & tax token will be delivered in specific number of days.

22 You can also get 2 annual teflon coatings by paying about Rs 1.5 k. See if you can get that complementary.

23 Check if Octroi charges are added in the bill. Ideally, they are not charged to customer and paid by the dealer.

Guys, please help me out please please, yesterday during night time my bike was parked outside, and it rained really hard and in the morning when I tried to start my bike, it didn't crank up, every time I tried it made a weird sound and didn't start, I tried to push start in 2nd gear, it started, I rode it for 3-4 kms, came back home, I thought maybe it would start again but alas it didn't crank up with self start, please help me out guys.....
Every time I press the self button it makes this thuk sound from somewhere as shown in the video, please hwlp me out asap

Did you try to start the bike by taking the self for less than 3 seconds?

If not try but don't give it more than for 3 seconds.

Next, I think the spark plugs aren't firing up. Check up for any clogged up water in the spark plugs. This might help.

your battery is down/damaged try after charging the battery, or simply put another one for testing.

Cleaning the spark plugs is a hard task.....
There are three, right?
I tried opening my bike, but was able to reach only upto one of those 😅
Can you please guide me with their precise locations and the precise way to reach them.

Actually the battery is new, it was just changed around 5-6 months ago, but still I'll work on it..... And post here once I've found a solution....
