[QUOTE=rajatgiri28;1210482]Does anybody know if there will be any waiting period for the SF FI
Hey Rajatgiri.....one of my friend is working in Suzuki showroom. When I enquired him he told me Suzuki is so adomen in keeping their lip close in details of fi version. Even the showroom guys don't know any details about fi. They even don't know its power figures. One of the guy told me that fi version have a 200cc engine ( i don't think so) And they are expecting its arrival on April ( only expecting, no confirmations). If then the waiting period will be minimum 1 month or within 1 month. In case of Suzuki their is no scope of expectations. They showed that in recent autoexpo in Delhi. All bike guys expected gixxer 250R in this auto expo but what happen!!!!! No 250 cc bikes from Suzuki but an fi version of gixxer with no power figures announced. If it hit the market in next few months it will be a revolution. Any way I'm gonna wait for it. My personal opinion is to wait for it for 1,2 months. :-)

Hey Avinash,Originally posted by Avinash666 View PostSorry mate, didn't think of filming the work while it was being done. So I don't think video will help.
Moreover, I can guide you through all the processes that was done.
First of all you need to replace this ....
.....notice the steep angle of levers. This is to avoid hitting the front fairing while turning the handle.
Now talking about the cost break-up,
Handle bars--- 2x₹350=₹700
Fork cap replacement
(Lathing and metal)---2x₹400=₹800
Drilling for extra bolts---- 2x₹30=₹60
Labour charge---- ₹500
Any other query, feel free to PM me. Cheers.
Thank you so much buddy.A very informative post, really.
Earlier I was wondering as to how the R15 handlebar will fit on our 41mm fork. This fork cap mod is a genius yet convenient move. also I agree on that extra drill. The best part is that you can go back to stock when you want.
Besides all this, can you further answer -
How is handling and stability now, as compared to the previous experience?
And do your fingers touch the tank when you turn the handle completely?

2. They were pair of Flashing Blue Lights like Police, i bought that set from local shop for 400/-
3. No those blue are not SMD 28, but yes if you can find the socket for T10 you can buy and fix that too, and give connection from your parking light, the light which is under your headlight. We have What's App Group for Suzuki Gixxer, so Much can be shared there and problem can be responded ASAP.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi guys,
I have got my gixxer sf recently and done nearly 100 km. Gearshift is quite hard as of now. I'm thinking of doing oil change. As current engine oil might have metal particles due to initial run in. Thinking of flushing it out and again fill fresh mineral engine oil. Please let me know if it's good idea. Kindly suggest good mineral oil.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
People are facing problem with gear shift in Gixxer, me too ,got my 1st servicing on Sunday and after that it's a bit smooth, My friend owns SF too he burned it for 10K Kms and it's running Flawlessly and no gear shift problem, they say it get better with subsequent services, You don't need to change oil for now , when ever you go for 1st servicing, you can carry a bottle of MOTUL 10W40 Oil, otherwise they will put some shitty oil, like they did for me, they used foking Reliance Oil, wtf !!.Originally posted by nikCool View PostHi guys,

Gear Shift, Performance, Milage and other stuff depend on Engine oil and also they way your ride and also opt a balance break in period for you Bike, to keep the engine Healthy.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Thanks for quick reply. I asked because someone suggested to do oil change during 1st 100 km for smoother engine. And yes gearshift are super hard. For me 1st to neutral is super hard but 2nd to neutral is very easy. Is it normal?Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostPeople are facing problem with gear shift in Gixxer, me too ,got my 1st servicing on Sunday and after that it's a bit smooth, My friend owns SF too he burned it for 10K Kms and it's running Flawlessly and no gear shift problem, they say it get better with subsequent services, You don't need to change oil for now , when ever you go for 1st servicing, you can carry a bottle of MOTUL 10W40 Oil, otherwise they will put some shitty oil, like they did for me, they used foking Reliance Oil, wtf !!.

Thanks for quick response. So it seems I have to wait a little bit more for smoother gearshift.Originally posted by jacob.robinson.921025 View PostFriends dont worry about the gear shifts, with time it will become smooth, my gixxer has done 14000 kms and now the gear shifts are far far better than what it was before
Guys also I have one question. As per manual first service is due at 750 km and 2nd at 3500 km. Do I need to wait till it clocks 750 km for 1st service?
