second thing, its not just the aesthetics of a cruiser I am after. it the actual relaxed seating, low ride height and the other associated benefits I am after.
Yes, I could go for an Avenger, but the whole point was the refinement of the Suzuki engine. plus the six speed is a real attraction, as I am looking at long lazy rides. I am not really a fan of Royal Enfield, as I believe they are fundamentally obsolete technology products, low on refinement and not very well made, their cult following notwithstanding (at least the RE products made available to us here in India). plus, even the Thunderbird isn't a true cruiser in the true sense of the term. its just a low slung seat and high handlebar, basically on the same chassis.
I mentioned the Enticer, as it is already lighter than the GS itself, as alkemyst pointed out. If it did okay with a 125 cc / 4 speed combo, it should certainly do okay with a 150cc / 6 speed combo.
in fact, for my requirement (no ripping or trying to test the rev-limiter, just relaxed cruising at max of 75-85 kmph), it should be a great combination, as the seating ergonomics of the Enticer are really good (for me i.e.)
so, can it be done ?
