  • True about the * thing. This is HDFC bank, that's why i posted the details here, and am willing to know more about it. If it would be great grand mother bank (aai chi aai chi aai viz ICICI), I wouldn't even hear the whole offer, and would run away as fast as I could!

@alkemyst: Even I liked orange. But seeing that faded Orange was a shocker! Anyhow, will still go and see it again. True that green blue doesn't do justice and doesn't show the huge shape as nicely as Orange.

@Shadowfax: Nothing rocket science in Trip meters. Treat them seperately from Odometers. It's not that trip A + trip B will get added to Odometer reading. A & B are getting their reading simultaneously (remember, you can only reset them, not pause them). So my advise will be use trip B for calculating mileage ie each time you fill a petrol of say 100rs when your bike is on reserve, and reset it again when it hits the reserve again. This way you will get fuel efficiency. Use trip A for calculating distances of places, like average number of kms run on weekdays, or distance of a holiday place from your home etc.

Again, all the meters are getting recorded simultaneously, so use them separately and not in conjunction with one another

hdfc is catching up fast in indian banking scenario.. so u can trust it, but still dont trust any bank blindly(even if its ICICI)
orange looks more sporty.. to save it from fading get the teflon coating and dont park it under direct sun.. i have a black GS, and to me the orange one looks more beautiful than mine

yess.. u r right.. those 2 readings are recorded in ODO.. TRIP A and TRIP B values will be subset of the ODO reading value(a mathematical explanation)..

      • ^^^That comment on ICICI was more in a negative shade. Seeing how it treats customers and charges them, I don't have a positive opinion about them. HDFC however is much more professional, and in past 4 years of banking with them they have never given any problem.

              • what rpm for each gear shift

In the manual it's not given if u know the page can u tell the page , i saw only do not cross 5000 rpm till 800km and 7000rpm till 1600km,but not mension what gear in which rpm we have to shift...?
I fit ladies handle cum hook but of poor quality if u load too much weight on hook its bending, even u can feel when catching the ladies handle....it has too much U shape thats why its bending mechanic told me....done 1400km so far smooth and reach 65kmph at 4500 rpm. did some body note it has K&n filter type air filter unlike foam type in pulsar which tear after some time..
IS philips 12v 35/35(30 % extra light) made in china good for GSR , bcos i did'nt found made in germany here.
I want auto magazine like bike india , auto car india, overdrive should compare unicorn V/s GS 150R in their forth coming issue.....

                • Which means do not even pull any gear beyond 5K RPM for the 1st how many ever kms.
Ideal gear shift I have found is 3.5-4K RPM for most bikes in city.

                      • Gonna meet the suzuki team

Hi guys... I got a call from my service center manager (Swapna enterprises, Anna Nagar, Chennai) yesterday (friday) evening..... He was asking me about the performance of the bike.... I told him about the resonance thing at 3.5k rpm.... He asked me to get the bike today (saturday) to service center

I went to the service center today.... He rode the bike and said he too feels it.... He said it might be the drive (coming from the overdrive concept )changes in that rpm ... but he was not sure.... Then he said some quality analysts from suzuki(japan and india) are visiting the service center next saturday to interview GS owners to discuss about the bike...This service center has been chosen by suzuki in the whole of chennai to do the analysis with the customers... He asked me to tell them everything abt the bike to them....

I am gonna pour everything about the bike to them ..... both pros and cons....

Also i was having trouble with gear shifting and gear indicator... They fixed it immediately there... Also they tightened the brakes... Now the gear shift is awesome.... Doesnt feel any sound while gear shifting

                        • @alkemyst: how much are the pilot lamp watts? I am asking because I need to know whether it is possible to remove the pilot lamps, and use 60/55W Osram silverstar bulb on the main. This juggad works wonderfully on my Caliber115.

On the other hand, what will happen if we remove the pilot lamps, put the main on DC by bit modification, and use 60/55W bulb, as with ZMA? 9AH battery looks good enough for supporting a 60/55w bulb for some hours.Alternatively, we can fit an extra fog bulb on the crash bulb directly from the battery, and use it, keeping all the other electrical as it is.

Any ideas on it? I was planning for HID, but will wait till the monsoon gets over.

its 35W animeher.. even i have similar confusion.. if the battery is able to tak 55W bulb then the bike will become almost perfect for me...

                            • If everything goes alright, I may get the bike next week I will surely try to put some external auxillary bulb on battery, coz monsoon is approaching fast and we need all the light we can get.

EDIT: If the pilot lamps are 10W each, then we can rejoice! removing them and fitting a 55W bulb with be great, as present 35W + 10W each from pilots will product 55W! If pilot lamp bulbs are only 5W, then....

Are there any 45W bulbs present in the market?

                              • The headlight bulb that comes fitted does not provide adequate light so got that changed to a Philips 35/35w which now throws better light than the stock Halonix

                                by someone in the thread....?????

Can u tell philips made in india cum china or made in germany?
Bcos i too buy one but its 95Rs made in INDIA 30% more light its written.....
