The original bulb that is Made in Germany will cost you around Rs.150-200/- which is better than the Made in India bulb. This bulb here in Mumbai costs Rs.100/-.You can get the Made in Germany bulb from any Honda showroom as the same bulb is now also available in the New Activa.

I was waiting in the customer lounge... The chief mechanic rode the bike and gave instructions to another mechanic... He fixed.... Other bikes were hiding my view so i was unable to take a lookOriginally posted by ssivakumar.r View PostHow did they solve that? what is the actual problem?

wait a minuteOriginally posted by animeher View PostIf everything goes alright, I may get the bike next week
I will surely try to put some external auxillary bulb on battery, coz monsoon is approaching fast and we need all the light we can get.
EDIT: If the pilot lamps are 10W each, then we can rejoice! removing them and fitting a 55W bulb with be great, as present 35W + 10W each from pilots will product 55W! If pilot lamp bulbs are only 5W, then....
Are there any 45W bulbs present in the market?
there are something called reflectors
u can very well play or manipulate with removing some components and adding some components with better power
but the sad thing may be that ,,,,, everything depends on ur reflector quality
now someone dont pounce on me saying its a suzuki and they will use good products,,,,,,,,
we all know stock products are meant to last long and considering cost options...... everything is set according to needs only
its upto us who can spend and upgrade or replace
even if you remove the tail light
and indicators completely
then u can fix 90/100 watt
but the problem again would be your reflectors.........
generally reflectors do take more power....... but it reduces its life
by how much..... no one knows
y not ask SC guys about this
not where u service ur bike
you people are one of the very first owners of this bike
its you who will be the gurus of this bike in the years to come by
( if it stays )...... because you will have to dare and do experiments and take risks or warm your couch being cosy
caution :
half knowledge could be dangerous

ps: everything was stated in a very friendly manner
please dont misinterpret me and take it as an offense
there are 45/40 bulbs in the market
check with a ROYAL ENFIELD SHOWROOM and also with local dealers
they use them in one of their bikes

guys from bangalore might be knowing the route to the new airport.. its on NH7.. last night went for a small ride from BTM to the BIAL.. the roads are awesome, and it looks really beautiful in the night with all the lights on
..
no complaints from the bike side.. it went smooth and gave me a very good time.. felt need of brighter/better headlights again.. looks like its giving me a mileage somewhere around 54-58 kmpl with shell petrol...
missed a good tea on the way too...
I like to meditate a lot.. On my BIKE!

as it makes sense..........
people dont want minute details about everything or the spec sheet will be in pages
so they make it short
detailed info is only available in manual

for GS 150R owners...
How do you feel the ride comforts if say have been driving for more than 50kms non-stop..if any one has tried that.

And does that suits to a 6ft tall guy?
How has been the service back up and feedback on engine's performance at higher RPM's.
I am struck in deciding between Xtreme and GS 150R. GSR scores over Xtreme interms of Console and Gas Shox and 6th COG. But still I have thoughts over for GS 150R.
I already owner CBZ Xtreme a year back. So I know everything abt Xtreme, Need to know about GS 150R.
awaiting honest Feedback.

i chose GSR over RTR so that i dont have to lean at all to ride it.. i have ridden it for longer periods than u mentioned, but whatever fatigue i had was because i am a newbie tourerOriginally posted by riazmomin View Postfor GS 150R owners...

.. no discomfort from the bike side...
i am 5'10.. and it suits my height very well.. 2 inches shouldnt make much of a difference
however, i will suggest you a test ride..
engine is very smooth at higher ends.. bike feels solid... however if you love the VAROOM punches of xtreme then i am doubtful that you will like GSR.. its response time is a little lower side(not that its slow or something) but not something which will zoom at the traffic signals..
have a ride buddy and let your instincts decide.. you may love a bike which is total failure in market if it satisfied you....
@outworldly_maniac : bro.. dont take it offensive.. i personally dint find anything wrong in your replies, but i think if a lot of people think that you are being sarcastic/arrogant then i would suggest you to re-read your posts before submitting it.. it will save a lot of heated arguments and time/space & keep the thread on track.. PEACE!!!
P.S. i am myself quite sarcastic and find a lot of people dont cope with it..Last edited by alkemyst; 06-07-2009, 09:52 PM.I like to meditate a lot.. On my BIKE!

Hi... once i had driven this machine for 120kms continuously... there is no tiredness or any sort of pain... I am sure you will definetly enjoy the ride... Its a good touring bike... I also driven Xtreme, though GS have slighly less initial pick up (0-60), have Excellent riding position(comfortable for touring) and vibration free riding compared to Xtreme.Originally posted by riazmomin View Postfor GS 150R owners...

After riding my bike i felt Xtreme as a small bike (narrow handle bar) and felt slightly uncomfortable (my opinion, no offence)
finally
Xtreme - best suited for city riding (good pickup)
GS - good for city usage, excellent tourer(6th gear, butter smooth engine, big fuel tank
)
