I had to take 3 test drives of GS 150R before thinking of going for it. It was quite tough for me to choose GS 150R over Xtreme, But finally the 6th COG and refined engine has helped in.

I hope the refinment remains same, even on longer run.

I may get it tomorrow itself, thats is 10th June. I will be going for orange one. And my R15 has gone into other hands this morning itself.
Uncle JI......how many days has it been since u bought r15?

I bought it on July 19th 2008, Now you do the counting .

Dont worry, I have seen full signs of its new owner screwing it. . He doesnt wear a helmet. Already suggested him twice to do that.

Any how, Kiran has promised a Photoshoot with GS 150R and expect a first impression's on GS 150R.

I think I am hijacking the thread.

Broken helmet was results of crash on my CBZ Xtreme a year back. And that helmet pic in avatar is I am still alive
Sold of R15 because of pain in my left elbow which is side-effect of last years crash, My elbow was not able to take load of R15's seating position.

I am yet to get GS150R, Hopefully today.

So I am fit and fine as of now.

Somehow, Now I am missing my R15

Okie, enough of me. Will post pics of GS 150R once i get it.

              • Riaz, the new cbz xtreme is really hot now (i am serious, I liked it very much). Why do not you try it. Of course, GS150 has lot of goodies compared to CBZX.

You dont know how much I like, I mean I love CBZ Xtreme. . I was going for that itself. But some how I ended up test riding GS 150R.

I already had 3 test rides on GS 150R and 4 on CBZ Xtreme. Had to go for GS150R for its 6th gear, refined engine and ideal for tours when compared to bike.

I know, my mind is still niggling for Xtreme...I dont know which one I go for untill I get one

you made me to think again...

                    • Alright guys, I am joining the GS150R club! Brought one home yesterday, an Orange beauty. Yet to do the naming ceremony. Initial impressions are:

Superb stance: Even at standstill, the bike catches glances.

Pickup: Bike literally runs in 4-5k rpm range. Somwhow, I felt she is not picking up in 6th gear, but this being a new machine, I am williing to give her some time to adjust herself.

Some rattling noise comes when I accelerate, something in front is slightly loose. WIll get it tightened from Suzuki guys.

Headlight is pathetic. Will have to do something about it ASAP.

Horn is good. Loud and clear!

The gear shifter is smooth, but the heel shifter is wayyyy up. I had to struggle hard to find it. I will ask the SC to adjust it.

As reported by others, the 3.5k rpm vibrations are noticable. They are precisely at 3.5k, not above or below it. In fact, I can feel when the bike crosses 3.5k rpm from above or below by the vibrations! Also the rear brake are not good. The front brakes do their job good. If you are rear brake only guy, then you will develop right leg muscles, by pressing that brake hard

So thats it. Glad to finally own GS150R. Will be posting my experiences and reading others regularly

, I was thinking of why not a first impression on GS 150R, Its a new bike and it does deserve that. We have planned a photoshoot this weekend.

                          • I am planning to use kick start at the start of the day, and then for rest of the day I'll use buttons start. I was surprised to see that the kick start works even when I am pressing clutch! I was kicking the bike with clutch pressed to allow the oil run through, before giving it final kick to start, suddenly it started, taking me by surprise!

Guess I'll have to do the above chore when the bike is switched off, and not just by pressing clutch when it's on.

                            • I have been following the below method in the days when I owned CBZ -X.

Before starting the bike first time for the day. I use only the Kick Start, With ignition tuned off. Kick the bike few times like 5-6 times with clutch engaged and 5-6 times with clutch disengaged....alternate times. This helps the stagnant oil in the crank to push up into the engine and between the clutch plates and gears too. This helps engine to be pre-lubricated before it actually runs on its own.

Later I kick start the bike and keep it on idle for atleast 3-40 secs before starting the ride.

And not crossing 3500RPM for 3-4 kms.

This has been usefull mechanism for me.
