In that case, I guess I need to do a checkup. I have some vibrations on gear lever after 4-4.5k & it persists at higher rpms also. But last time when I told this to service guy he said it will vanish when I reach 2000km. Need to persuade them I guess.

Or could it be because of the oil that they are using? Should I change oil?

    Engine oil change - 265
    Oil filter change - 50
    Consumables - 50
    Additive - 100
    Teflon Coating - 50

Then I told him to remove the teflon coating and not clean with diesel. He went off. I called him again and told him to check for false neutrals from 1st to 2nd gear shifts. He said ok but didnt mention in the job sheet and went off.

This was the worst service I have ever had in any SVC.

Guys anyone has any clue what that 'Additive' is?
I had a better experience at SVC. They noted down whatever complaints I mentioned. They took care of everything except the gear lever vibrations. To check the vibes they should ride it right. But on the odo there was hardly one km increase. And the bill split was as follows (approx. + taxes)

    Oil - 270
    Oil Filter -35
    Battery maintanence - 15
    Consumables -28

I have heard of some anti-corrosion additive that they use in engine oil. But it is nothing but a sales strategy IMO.

Then do a check up bro.

I got a call from them a while ago saying the bike is ready. The bill amount is 450 rupees it seems. I should go and check what they have done. If there is anything which I didnt ask for then I should have a word with the supervisor.

Anyhow, ask the mechanic to tighten the engine mounting bolts, front and rear axle nuts and all other nuts and bolts at correct torque.
In my experience, the new model vibrates after 3.5k RPM till 4.5k RPM upto the first 1000 kms. The mechanics are right about it smoothing out as the kms pile up on the odo.

            • Don't worry about it, it'll gradually disappear. By the way, dont keep crossing the 5k mark too often while running in the engine.

My odo reads 920kms now. I thought after 800km I can cross 5k. Isn't it

You can. But make sure you dont keep it at higher revs over a prolonged period.

Ya. The free is only the labour charge. Everything else is billable.

Here is the episode. I got the bill for 450 rupees and asked them what is this additive. The receptionist says that in your job sheet you have asked for it so this is that. Then after a lot of conversation with the manager I told him if they cheat customers like this then this would be the last time I come. I told him that the mistake is partly mine too else I could have saved 100 rupees and they could have saved some reputation. Then I walk to my bike to find it not even properly washed and the mirrors were misaligned. Asked him to fix it which he did. Then drove home. 100 rupees waste for me. I would rate this as 1 on 5. I will give a try to these guys once more and then decide whether to continue or not.

Maybe I shall try out a different time as you but then I might not have that luxury on weekdays and on weekends they will anyway have a lot of vehicles and might not service mine properly. I shall try to be more stern next time and see if that works out.

Dont really worry or confuse yourself much bro. Nothing is niggle free. Just keep riding and enjoy the ride. After a while you'll not even notice when it disappeared.

                        .
This is very bad customer service..I always serviced my bike in K.H.Road suzuki and can rate them better in terms of service..BTW i never allow them to fill svc engine oil..I take my own each time...

The only issue is that we need to book the service 10-15 days in advance..
This one instance with K.H.Road suzuki was bad..Once i had booked my service a week in advance and when i went to svc on my booking day,i was told that my service date is postponed to next week..I was like WTF!!
They told me that they informed the previous day on phone, which they never did.. It was somehow sorted out and i got the service done the same day..

I have been charged(labour) for chain cleaning and lubrication separately excluding general service each time...I was told that the general service(250inr) doesnt include chain cleaning..Is this the same with all svc's?
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

KH Road eh? I shall keep that in mind. I think next time if I am more sterner then things will work out fine. As for the chain cleaning part, I think it is done as a part of everything else and totally it comes to 250. I have never been charged separately on my Bajaj or this in the first service.

That's one way to black list Showrooms/SVCs provided they're same to all its customers.

I had bad experiences with Value Suzuki SVCs both @Millers road and @Yelahanka. You can't draw line just from a single incident.

Warn the SVC manager in person about losing its reputation on bike websites... it's being blacklisted blah blah...
And that you won't recommend this showroom to your friends...
