Why is the diff b/w the two? How you measured the diff in speed?Originally posted by MACH50 View Post* 127kmph on speedo.......real road speed 123-124kmph
Did you checked it in any tacho calibration center?

Very valuable inputs bro!!!....Thank you so much for all your time and efforts in getting my questions addressed. ....EHVAIS is a new term to me, good to know by now, atleast....Happy to know that suzuki is planning for a 250cc next year....but i will have my hands on this one first. Will let you know once i get my bike bookedOriginally posted by MACH50 View PostU got my input, GS150R is a solid machine........if u need a 150cc go for this only.........but if u need something faster- then don't buy anything else but wait for Suzuki's very own Inazuma 250- which would debut in India next year.
. I kind of like the white color variant, let me check with my dealer
......Again, after getting my bike, i will be needing your inputs for the required upgrade (like lights, EHVAIS etc..), hope you are always there for me
.

Hey MACH bro,can you give some details about this mod?Originally posted by MACH50 View Post
Electronic High Velocity Air Intake System(EHVAIS) it is a combination of RAM air and Supercharger, complete with turbo head cooler fan. This mod boosts acceleration and compliments max speed range cruising(120+ kmph range)
.
whats the cost to get it done?Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Bala, from the feedback from XBHP users & others SMK porur & ABT Nandanam are the two good service centers in chennai...Originally posted by biker_bala View PostHi all proud owners of GS150R in chennai, can you please let me know which dealer provides better ASS in chennai? (cos only two in entire chennai)
I did my 1st & 2nd sercice at ABT Nandanam, though I bought my GS from JAV Suzuki Adyar.,,
IMO ABT service quality is very good
...
My bro's GS is serviced at SMK Velachery.. Till now he didn't faced any problem in the 2years... His bike has ran just 12k kms... It might be one of reason too...
Happy New year.

I am not so gung ho about a certain tacho center or dynometer to prove something to me, I am having the fun that I want.Originally posted by gmagesh14 View PostWhy is the diff b/w the two? How you measured the diff in speed?

This real road speed sense I got from running alongside a Karizma ZMR.
The ZMR was doing 122kmph while I was 127 kmph on my speedo.
Later on I got from Vbox testing reports by some bike magazines, dat ZMR's speedo is most perfectly calibrated in the market, rather, it shows a couple of kmph less.
So I got I am actually doing 124kmph real time while the ZMR speedo reads 122kmph and mine reads 127kmph.(when ZMR's speedo read 127kmph, it overtook an R15 doing 135kmph
)
Would like to be thereOriginally posted by biker_bala View Posthope you are always there for me

EHVAIS- is a mod indigenously developed by a an Engineer(automobile engineer) friend of mine.Originally posted by manubhat View PostHey MACH bro,can you give some details about this mod?
whats the cost to get it done?
He has patent for its design whose prototype he ran on his Fiero.
He does not indulge in business, but only in research.
EHVAIS forces huge amount of air in to the stock air box, whenever the throttle is opened..........the rpm of the electronic compressor can be controlled with the throttle input.
Meanwhile, with already high volume of air in the air box,the engine do not have to draw air through carb, it just flows into carb when throttle is opened.Hence the engine breaths much more than it can by itself. This combined with fuel flow increases engine effieciency by offering easier combustion and with increase in rpms greater power generation.
The only problem that has remained is that, the carb on my bike has not been balanced with the amount of air flow, hence my bike develops a little lag in the mid-range, as the medium sized needle jet cannot cope with the air flow..........but the lag goes for toss the moment the mainjet comes into function. Our stock GS150R runs the Pulsar 200 mainjet sized at 110 Mikuni spec.
It exhibits a superb rush from 80 kmph to 112kmph which can be unnerving at times or might feel as easy a drinking water while rushing up at that speed.
It had cost my friend and me around 8K to develop and install this for my bike. You can say this is a inner circle or among friends project, which has paid off well.Last edited by MACH50; 12-31-2011, 12:52 AM.Hell's Angel
