    • Completed 950 kms

Today completed 950 km in 23 days. Filled up the tank and today at approx 830 km fuel level came up to last bar of the fuel indicator. Kept the bike under 5000 rpm most of the time and at very rare occasion took up to 6000 rpm. Had a good riding experience upto this mark.
Will be giving the bike for 1st servicing on Sunday and sharing more after the 1st service

What mileage does that translate to? Also, servicing on Sunday?
Better late by 30 minutes than early by 30 years.

From second version GS150 R (released after march 2010) has the slightly longer handlebar end weights, so u mean to say the new one is some what longer than that OMG

considering the reserve of the tank is of 3 ltr it may be 830 km in 12 ltr, but considering it as 13 ltr for the mileage is approx 63 kmpl.
The service center in Mulund has thursday off so took appointment on Sunday, by then i would have crossed the 1000 km mark

Oh, since i rode the 1st version of the bike, I felt the ones on the 3rd version are longer. Haven't compared it to the 2nd version though.

                  • Tried practicing to figure out a way to avoid rear wheel locking today on an empty stretch of road with no success(50 to zero). I think the problem is that all the weight goes toward the front coz this never happens while riding with a pillion.

Its controllable while riding on a straight road but this makes me all the more worried about getting screwed in a situation where I panic brake on a bend.

                    • hey guys repaired my bike today...
SVC quoted RS 2000 for Wheel out and RS800 for fork(T) out respectively...
i gave my bike to a local mechanic and removed the fork(T) out and wheel out in just Rs 750 including new wheel bearing Rs160 and T bearing balls Rs 90.. it means he charged only Rs 500 as labor..
anyway bike is running well now and no more wobbling... saved a lot money on repairing work...

Congrats !!! accidentally you discovered a good local mechanic, apart from getting your bike back to shape.

If even after so much effort, you could not prevent locking, your rear brake may be too tight.

I don't think this components are imported or patent specific to this bike, a similar spec / type bearing / ball bearing are available on market.

am sure because i have changed for the rear wheel on my bike at local mechanic bough from local shop.

he sourced spares from a local two wheeler spares shop
