What kinds of methods are you looking at?Originally posted by Maestro View Post
It's very sad to hear that. Hope the pillion recovers soon. But fortunately, you escaped without any major injury. Please share the procedure for claiming insurance. I would like to know because I have never done it before.Originally posted by punarvasu View Post
Ask the dealer if you can inspect the bike. Do the regular PDI (check previous pages for more info). If you find anything wrong, then wait for the new stock to arrive.Originally posted by mubashirkk View PostLast edited by vikhyath; 02-20-2012, 09:05 PM.In today's world, quotes don't matter. Quotas do!

@punarvasu,
Accidents are sad things to happen, but the optimistic side is that it increases our experience and awareness. Hoping you and your pillion recovers soon.
Suggestion,

@punarvasu,
get well soon bro,
gravel surface is always dangerous and unpredictable.
please let all know the insurance claim procedure for gs,as many of us want to know about it and particularly on claiming for the front cowl and fiber /plastic parts.
my bikes recent mileage on local weekly refill reserve to reserve calculation comes around 47 kmpl
with one week of 3 to 8 kms trips i feel that's too good number for a 150cc
@manubhat, i believe your bike is admitted in Joels garage rite.
this time i decided to go for service at aryan suzuki at k r puramLast edited by MSN1; 02-21-2012, 12:28 AM.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

Really sad to hear that broOriginally posted by punarvasu View PostAs far as I know, it is a waste and using it is not safe.
A small accident happened today. My bike skidded on the gravel roadside today while riding with a pillion rider. He rolled over me and my lap top, breaking its display and landed a few feet away with broken leg. It is plastered and he is advised to take rest for the next 45 days.
Besides the lap top, these are the losses:

Planning to claim insurance for the headlight assembly tomorrow.
Now thinking upon what MSN1 said about the mod I was planning to buy for the bike, I'll just skip it so as to get more attention on the road.
Also, wish for well being of your pillion as well.....

Rs.1250/-only.Originally posted by vikhyath View PostHow much did you pay for it? An online website quoted Rs.1800/- for a similar mechanical unit. However, I am a little skeptical about relying on this unit.
Do not think it will be that high. First picture is of Rare Disc Mod in H/H PassionOriginally posted by vikhyath View PostI also enquired about the rear disk mod and a local mechanic told me it would cost about 12k Rs for it. This pushed the plan out of my mind.
. Next FZ16.
I do not think many people have tried mod on GS except HID & Full DC setup.

Speedy recovery for your pillion, I think he is not in a situation to tackle the fall from bike.

Driving is an Art. Braking is the precision of driving...
One thing I would like to quote about GS150R braking...
According to me, brakes in GSR are perfectly crafted. When I'm new to this bike, I meet with an accident because of wrongly applying rear brake. Rear tyre skid on a wet road. After that I read the manual of GSR where it is written that, both the brakes need to be applied for stopping the bike. Now I'm very comfortable in applying the brakes.
