Initially I was happy with the effect..but that didn't last long.. The bulb only apears bright for on coming traffic but it is of no use to the person using it. The light fades off with the on coming traffic's yellow light.

Yeah.. I come from a metro but I do touring a lot.. you can check this by going through the tourer's section and reading my trip logs. I was in very bad condition because of these bulbs when I had gone to pune and was returning home late night Copied from that thread

Where you filled the petrol? (Is it the regular bunk or bada chor ka bunk)

Where you drive it (traffic condition and driving style is it normal or ?)

Have you parked the bike in any new paid parking halls or unsafe area ?

Are you sure the reading taken was correct.

If all the above are matching your regular or previous one, then check oil and check if the bike behavior is normal

If this continues fine tune the golden screw, if you are not an expert consult the best service center at your location.

          • Has anyone used Michelin M45 tubeless tyres on rear of GS? If anyone is using tubeless tyres, please post your tyre's description and your experience.

+1...Ya..i too want to know about this.
I searched on net about MRF tubeless tyre, i didnot find any. If anyone using, please suggest some options and experiences.

And friends, My Gsr's 1st service over 2 days ago. Since i am getting 55+ mileage, i asked SC guys not to alter the carb settings. Only thing they did was oil change, chain tightening, fastening nuts and bolts thats all. I had told them to check the vibrations part in 3-4k range of RPM. The handle, front portion shakes can be seen very easily. But even after 1st service, those vibes are still there. that too in the begining of the day, say first 15 kmts. Then the vibes subside, so when i go to SC the vibes are hardly seen
This is the only problem i am facing with GSR, apart from this, i am enjoying the ride as usual.

              • Help me with Brakes guys

Hi Guys! Need some help from you guys

I am a fast rider in city so pick up and brakes are crucial for me. But iam really disappointed with GSR's rear brake. The brakes are really unreliable. Told this rear brake problem to SVC, they adjusted and it was ok for two days. Again the brake lacks grip.

Yesterday rode my friend's RTR 160 and impressed by rear break(rear drum brake as sharp as GSR front disc break). No matter how much the SVC guys tune, it will not be enough since GSR brakes are made that way. So iam planning to put a disc break for rear wheel or other changes. Any tips from you guys???

                (I just need better brakes)

                • New joinee in GSR league

                  Hi all,

I got my new GS150R (black colour) yesterday evening from Dolphin motors,Mumbai. I travelled yesterday 30 K.M and my observation is :

                  1. In nuetral RPM Meter showing value between 1 and 2? It is happening when travelling and came to neutral at traffic signal otherwise when bike initaially started it is showing as 0. Is it due to an issue in engine?

Welcome ! congrats on your new bike. Its obvious that RPM will show some figures when bike engine is started. if you just turn the key and didnt start the engine. it will be 0.

def not possible to show 0 when bike is started be it neutral or any gear. be it you rode it or not rode it. it will show some figure.

                      hi pavan,
                      welcome to GSR hub.
Your problem seems to be peculiar, usually when the engine gets started, the rpm needle starts moving.
And apart from these what are your observations? pick up, mileage, and vibes(almost common), and offcourse headlights etc...why dont you update with pics ?

                            Congrats on your new bike...
Post your mileage after checking using reserve to reserve method and see if it is very low. Maybe it is due to improper carburetor tuning. Check idling screw also.

The rear disk brake mods cost 7k in here at ramkoti, Hyderabad.. but make your choice whether you want good rear brakes at such a high cost..

Dont worry too much...make your list of choices, and your set your preferences. take test ride too. If your heart says GSR then go for it. Because i am sure you will not repent. Its a very good bike, even i was worried like you before buying.. Now 1st service over, very much satisfied.
So follow your heart..thats what i can say...every bike has its own merits and disadvantage too.
