Engine noise or vibration

I've already told that i bought GS150R. But i have some issues with that. When i rode 3000-3500 rpm there is a different noise in engine (with mild vibration). i always ride 50-55 kmph. my odo reading is 540.

Yesterday i go for the first service and told the complaint to the technician. He accept but not rectified and told me it will be corrected on next service.

What can i do?

And my bike gives me 35kmpl only. (poor mileage)

Welcome to mild vibration club ..Sorry to say this it was answered many times in these 765 page GS forum... though i will tell u again ...All bikes including GS150 have some resonance or sweet spot ...ALL of us 2009 and 2010 got this vibration at the mentioned RPM ..U don't need to worry about it....After 3000km or so replace Ur SVC oil to some other good brand like GULF or MOTUL or MOBIL ..u will find these vibration will reduce further to almost nil

I post it on suzuki feedback section,.... copy and paste of XBHP guys complaints...And i have suzuki south head service in charge mobile no, I called him many times ,so he informed my SVC(puducherry) to attend my complaint

Just came home from second service...
i wanted to fill motul[svc oil is castrol] during this service so told service centre guys and got 1litre Motul 3000t plus.... when i went to showroom in the noon bike was ready and i gave them the oil which i got.I was told that i should change even the oil filter as am switching from castrol to motul... So oil and filter both changed... but filled just 1 litre[supposed to be 1.1l with oil filter change]
Even the oil level indicator is showing less than half.. The MILD vibations which was at 3.5k earlier is at all rpms now.. Engine was very smooth before the service and now its rough..am worried about my baby gixxer now
Can i get motul 100ml bottle???
i think less oil is causing all the problem.. I need help guys....

Get another 1 litre bottle of motul and fill that 100ml thats required..

Or you could ask the SC for 100ml oil and pay for that amount only..
(mixing 2 oils wont cause much problems, and the grades are same so wont matter)

But mainly, wait atleast 50km after changing oil, so it sets in, and then you can get a more correct picture of the quality.

1.to maintain RPM 4.5 IN ALL GEARS
ie:16~1st gear
28~2nd gear
38~3rd gear
46~4th gear
52~5th gear
60 above 6th gear
(or)
2.to shift gears as per my wish for example 6th gear @ 40,etc..

U have fellow banglorian madhu is there using this same oil ping him pm.....As falcon told u need 50km to settle ...Me changed oil filter only 6000km afterwards.....i bought a 1 litre can and add 100ml myself of same brand GULF that time.....Don't worry u have 2010 model right...which is trouble free

Hi...i can't say 1st or 2nd what to do....But reserve capacity is they put 3.1*(approx) means around 3.5 ltr.....full tank is around 21 ltrs till brim level(15.5ltr they put in book thats for safety level)

Guys, my GS 150 needs front disc pads replacement. Any idea what is the cost of the pads? Got my Tank replaced for the second time due to rusting issues. Service Centre told that there are more complaints in the blue colour.

Thanks for the quick response. I reside in Hitech city. I guess Saboo is quite far from here. However, if the service is really good, am ready go that extra mile.

in hyderabad the other showrooms are at somjiguda and some other places

saboo suzuki is good among them their service is also good

oil change with or with out filtter change



Guys I am out of town, now at chennai for the past 2 days,
Was back to chennai almost after 7 years so many changes, yeah I still love chennai.

Haven't seen any GS in chennai till this noon seen a bunch of GS while crossing SMK porur.

Oil change with or without oil filter:

1. 1 litter oil is good but even 900 ml is ok for oil change. (Refer manual)


2. Oil filter change just 1 litter is fine (again refer manual)


3. Switching from mineral to synth needs filter change.


4. Switching to semi-synthetic from mineral doesn't actually needs filter change.


5. Switch between brands but both are mineral means its fine, no need for filter change but if you wish to do means yes you can,


6. Just refer manual on how to inspect oil level.

For your information: currently am using only 900 ml motul oil and haven't got any issues


if you check oil immediately after service at service center the color as well as level will be incorrect and level will show lesser. Just drive as usual park it on side stand wait for 5 minutes just tilt the bike to center stand position (don't put center stand, just ask some one to hold the bike in up right position) and check the oil level.
