HH main dealers are saying its not available and its very difficult to get and one guy modi motors, secundrabad said the jets will not come seperately and will only come as a set with carb.

No bajaj main dealer is having spare jet for p180.

tvs guys say it will take another week to get rtr180 jets and are not sure if they will get or not itself. I am fed up searching for jets for the past 2 weeks whole of hyderabad and secundrabad.

I am going to my home town coimbatore next week for diwali and planning to get the jets there.

Any one know where to get jets of zma/p180/rtr180 in coimbatore?

Buddy, if you cant find any spare jets, try and get a spare suzuki GS jet itself, and then re bore it to reqd diameter.. it would not be very accurate, but a skilled person would give you a good enough one.

In any case, since the offer was over, i just filled 100 bucks of fuel, and my bike had travelled 75kms in reserve when i filled, right now its a 92kms from reserve, still in main. (since i got 1.7 litres of fuel, that means my mileage is 55 and counting..

But when i filled 350 bucks, my mileage was always 48..

I guess less fuel in tank= more mileage.. i have noticed this right from the start..
(or alternatively, it could be because i switched from eco to pwr mode, since Madhu said it gives more mileage)

And regarding the oil thing, i buy the oil bottle from outside only, and make the SC people change it for me.. there's no problem with warranty and all buddy.

@all Bangaloreans: Is that shell car offer still there in any bunk right now(as on 23rd october), because i really want to collect the last car.
and the offer is not there in old madras road shell bunk.
Thanx, let me try to change oil this time...
Regarding old madras shell...i too fill in the same bunk and they told me offer is not there anymore, when i went two days ago..
      I just got 3 F's...f2005,enzo and spider

I will go for your suggestion if i cant find the exact spare jets in diwali holidays in coimbatore/bangalore. I will be going to bangalore also and anyone can suggest me where can i get p180/rtr180 spare jets??

I also have one more idea which i plan to implement till i solve rejetting issues.. please comment on my following idea whether is it recommended..
"Is it possible to wrap a paper filter around the KN filter so that it restricts the air flow and brings the air flow volume to original levels of stock air filter so that i can avoid over-heating issues till i rejet carb? " please help

I think increased idling n rich mixture on current setup will avoid consequence for now...
paper filter will reduce the volume..but it may reduce it too much......
rich mixture wont have any risk n will definitely do the job.

I think no one has ever mentioned about this modification.

                • I have searched for Osram silverstar in my locality but in vein.
Finally settled for halonix 12v 35/35 w white output bulb present in new p220 (without fairing). I think it has marginal improvement over the halonix in GS. It is yellow output alright but the color lightens when we increase the throttle. Will check if it will improve on removal of the pilot lamps. It will do till I get my hands on silverstar.

Any body from Kerala please comment on where I can find original Osram or Philips 35W or 55W blue/white 3 pin bulbs suitable for our GS.

Sorry i dont have gs but i am posting this on behalf of my friend who own a GS
So i am asking suggestion from you guys.
                    @ALL
About the mod i thought that it would help to increase the ground clearance of GS so it wont hit any speed breaker any more.
i want to know that can we simply swap from GS rear brake lever to yamaha G5 brake lever or will it need any mod.

                      • Hi all...I did a mistake..Today morning i started my GS using choke & i forgot to pull that choke lever back..I rode the city in that condition..When i shifted down & stopped i noticed the idling rpm is nearer to 4K..I thought something went wrong in my bike..I told this to my friend & he told to check the choke..I found it & immediately changed it...My question is will it affect my bike in future??

If you will use the choke excessively for a prolonged period of time, then YES it will affect your bike. But if its once in a while then it will not have any such affect.

Have you upjetted your carb ?? 40 mileage with K&N filter is a very good figure according to me.

yes brother, i do remember now...

                              iam very happy today...
my gsr gave me 67 kmpl
i could never believe, but it is true. my recent ride was amid heavy rains. so i think water cooling adds to the mileage...any opinions from senior GSpians?
and this week am going to give my gsr for 1st service.
