    Have been riding with the 55w Silverstar lamp for the last 3-4 months without any issues - more that 3000kms. However, I have installed Xenos electronic alarm a couple of days earlier because of which I am looking to either disconnect the pilots or replace them with LEDs to reduce the load on battery.

    And our battery is NOT Maintenance free. or at least mine definitely isnt !!
    It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

          Hey Guys!

          Just Completed 6k Km's on my Odo today! I'm looking to change the oil in my bike. The Gear shifts are getting a bit harder, the Castrol oil used by the dealership is no good, hardly lasts for 1000Km's :/.

          Please do suggest on what oil would suit the best for me? I travel about 100Km's a day in Highways. Shall i opt for Synthetic? or should i continue with mineral oil? I don't care for bucks, I just want super smooth performance .

            oil

            go for shell advance vsx 10w40 semi synthetic .. before that switching, try changing oil filter also..

              i have this bulb in hand but its bluish ,thought u won't get enough view in the road , but it will match ur LED pilot lamp... But i want to try but my mech is not co operate ,since he is lone mech like u said in tanjore... i am afraid to go others since they never open GS bike head lamp before.I bought it for 100RS only

                Better you go for the shell advance VSX or shell advance Ultra. The VSX costs you <300 & the ultra will cost you <750. If you are not worried about money then get the motul 300V 5W40. Its the best of all the given oils.

                  Ya, when i reach near 4k RPM , i feel the engine becomes little rough and mild vibs near the leg brakes. Is this normal in all GSR ?

                    normal ....it will reduced soon ...but will present ...its there in all bikes u won't feel as they produce more sound..but our GS is silent na thats why u feet it

                      Thru it looks blueised when powered it emit milk. white light which is like the one in starcity .
                      More over tip of the bulb is coated with silver colour and shop guy put it in a empty spare head lamp of passion and powered it really looks far better than default one.
                      Am going to fix that today.

                      My led is already dead now am back to default gs pilot bulb

                          Try LED with twin bulb or quad(4) bulb it won't go fuse...advantage is even one LED in single bulb gone means the other will glow....I m using twin LED in bike and quad LED in CAR(suzuki baleno)... both cost Rs 100 each pair

                            My local mechanic just fixed the new bulb looks brighter .

                            Already took photo of the old bulb brightness., will take photo of the new bulb effect tonight and will post the same by tonight,

                            I used the led on AC and it lasts four days only one led is dead will check out for twin led again-

                            guyz dont go for fully synthetic at 6k its good to wait till 10k.

                              MSN1: LEDs will ALWAYS die on AC. They are not supposed to run on AC, please use DC for them.

                                I never checked the milaege before, thought its time now do to that.
                                I am planning for R-R method to find the milaege. Now how do i know the fuel has come to reserve? Does the blinking of last fuel indicator says that the fuel is in reserve ?
