  • changed oil yeah new one is also motul mineral

    Thanks to Mach and kiran,

Just changed the oil already stocked 1 motul just used it.

My local mechanic recommend for oilfilter change whenever we changing oil, oil filter with O ring costs close to max 50.

So money is not a concern

Is it okay to do so on our gs ?

Is that a healthy practice for our gs ?

    @ animiher and akfara,
Happy with the current headlamp brightness it looks bad as pilot lamp and headlamp colour's didnt matched so as going for white halogen

    • Hi guys.......... I am thinking about buying the GS150.
I took a test ride today. The bike is sexy! But it sounds like a bloody food processor!
Does the Honda Uni Dazzler sound better? The GS looks the part, performs the part........... but the sound is a let down!

Actually i liked GSR sound...i agree that unicorn and dazzler are quietest in the category. But next comes GSR, and its kind of different sound which i like....
and today i brought this bike, as far as i know this bike is all rounder, you can refer the pages here

But the sound........ you can understand my frustration when I find the PERFECT BIKE........ but the sound sucks!!!

          Does the Dazzler sound sportier???

I feel you have to make some compromises with the choice available as each bike has one or the other shortcomings. I have had a test ride of Uni but not Dazzler, but since engine specifications are same for both, i feel its one of the quietest.
I know dazzler look sportier. but i dint get you when you say sportier sound

            • By sporty sound........well, this is hard to explain..... I mean that it sounds more spirited and rev happy.

Has it got better pickup than the GS?

              • @ Raghav,
Uni has got better initial pick up like all other Honda bikes(shine, twister), but GSR steals the game in mid and top end pick up....
GSR 13.8 BHP and UNi Dazzler 14 BHP so dazzler has got little edge over GSR

                • I do like the GS after the test ride.........
Do you think it is a good bike for a 19 year old college go-er?

                  • I Dont think its good for a college goer ! its aimed at ppl who travel a lot

                    • ^^^ Its all about individual preferences..
There are college students crazy about speed and sound and buy 2nd hand Yamahas, some prefer Pulsars, and some honda dio...
So i feel you are the best person to judge your preferences.
and GSR is obviously both a city rider as well as a tourer. its rock solid, got good semi-sporty look, economical too. So all i can say is that even a college guy can like this.

                      • Well, my other option is the Honda Uni Dazzler.
How much better is it in the performance department?

I will do some tours, but not so many that I buy a 'tourer'!
I'd rather have a bike that performs well enough and can take on a few long rides. Oh and for the record, I don't like the Apache - too darn uncomfortable!

Dazzler does 0-100 in 17.8 sec, the fastest for a 150 cc (other than RTR and R-15). Myself has not tested, but these are the figures of ACI and BI. Dazzler will not be out of breath after 75 kmph, it will reach 100 effortlessly. After that, it slowly runs out of breath and goes till 115 kmph (that is the speed that I attained casually).

The rollon timings of FZ are better than Dazzler and FZ is fun to ride in city than a Dazzler.

                          • @ Ravi - So is it as potent a tourer as the GS?

Frankly, I don't like the looks very much. Especially once you get on the Saddle. The tank looks puny and the 'sabertooth' panels put you off.
The GS looks macho while seated on the other hand.

Man, am I having a decision crises or what? :P

@segagt_0 ur bike looks neat....with the cover off.........why dont u remove the back lip below number plate......it would give a more sporty look and as rains r gone now so even the pillion wont be drenched in mud frm ur tyre......
@maestro: ya thought of removing them too but the stock tyre is very thin and doesnt look good if the flap removed...planning to put on mrf zapper 120 or the irc one and then remove the flap..think it'll look better but i know the engine will have to put more strength if i replaced the tyre...confused for now!!
