I'd rather have a bike that performs well enough and can take on a few long rides. Oh and for the record, I don't like the Apache - too darn uncomfortable!
Since you have taken GSR test ride, i feel you should also try Dazzler once. Then chalk out the advantages and disadvantages of both.
    And...... decide
I feel you would walk towards GSR

      LOL!
I've taken the Honda Dazzler test ride as well. I feel it has slightly better pick up, but I'm not too sure..........

BTW, being a GS owner, what do you think of its performance?

              thanks in advance
you can actually change the back light of the console. In fact there is a DIY thread on xbhp itself. Try searching for it. I guess its done by Abhijeet. Sorry I forgot the id. But let me remind you its not easy. It requires lots of patience and knowledge of electronics. And as you are referring to leds, they will consume less power in comparison to the stock pilot lamps. CB Unicorn is still the best 150cc that Honda has got,and CB Dazzler is not the type that would be comfortable during high speed blasts, okay it does a fast 0-100 but because its lighter than the GS150R.Then what,it catches the slightest crosswinds, high speed maneuverability is difficult, not as frugal(Fuel efficient) and has no big bike feel.A GS150R can cruise at top speed(117kmph-without speedo errors) for hours together, while on the Dazzler, the engine would melt if not seize.
And GS150R still edges over CB Unicorn. The CB Dazzler loses miserably in departments of smoothness and gear shifting qualities in comparison to the CB Unicorn.

GS150R is the heaviest and the most torquey among the air-cooled 150ccs,barring the FZ and R15.While FZ is costly for being a 150cc and R15 is in a different segment with a price tag as such.

                  So what is GS150R,
Big Bike feel,Long range tourer, fast and reliable, fuel efficient being a 150cc........looks sophisticated and it is great at stability at high speeds and a safe bike.

Go for Dazzler if you like traffic like GPs and city riding only.
(But still I am the one who wins at Traffic light GPs on my GSR )

Best of luck for your new bike.

                  • You win at the lights???
Nothing doing bro, the GS has a bib bike feel and high speed, but it is the slowest (has least pickup) in the 150cc segment.
Also, the top speed is 108kmph, even when the speedo says 120!

All other qualities are true though, but do you think it has the thrill?

Do not think weight gives more stability. Dazzler is stable at 100 speeds. It is not prone to cross winds; it is as good as a GS150R. The Dazzler is quick not because of the light weight, the engine is tuned to that. I got 45 kmpl at 80-85 speeds and I feel it is very decent.

More over, Dazzler has state-of-the art monoshock that gives excellent handling. Dazzler is quick to maneuver even at high speeds. Go and try it. GSR on the other hand is not a as great handler as Dazzler/Unicorn (I am not telling its a bad handler).

Care to explain what special technology GSR's engine has that makes to run at 115 speeds for long hours and why the same-capacity Dazzler's engine melts at high speeds??

@raghavtlwr, both Dazzler and GS150R are good bikes and you will not regret what you buy. There are Pros and cons for both the bikes. For quick handling go for Dazzler. Dazzler has rear 110 section tyre and both are tubeless. The skinny looking tank, you will get used to it in a day and it is really good because it accommodates your legs well. You can happily cruise at 85-90 speeds on Dazzler. I do not think you want to ride at 115 speed for whole day either Dazzler or GS150R; forget about cruising at 110 speeds.

Take test rides and decide for yourself. Also check how good the service availability of GS150R in your city.

ride is very comfortable, but i noticed slight vibration @ 6th gear in 4-5 K rpm. i know its new engine and takes time. what about you?

                              Wow! That really is informative!
Like I said, I am buying a commuter which will go touring once in a while. I don't intend to tour all the time. Perhaps just once a year. One of the tours I have in mind is from Chandigarh to Chennai!!! Don't go !
Mostly though, they'll be shorter tours.

Anyhow, I'm sure the GS can take that. It seems to be the perfect bike for me. Can the dazzler cruise at 85kmph all day and still give the smoothness and FE like that of the GS??? Some have said that the Dazzler is uncomfortable for long stints and the vibs are annoying.
The only problem with the GS (according to owners and journalists) is, apart from the mixie sound, that you can't just wring your wrist and feel the thrill! IS THAT TRUE???
The fun factor is important too guys! I'm just 19!!!

And is there any other bike I should be looking at? I love the killer looks of the FZ, but owners have advised me not to buy it.

Yeah, I love the look too. At first I thought it was plain and pulsar-ish, but when I looked at it, damn, I loved it!
The Dazler is another story though. From certain angles, it looks okay, but on the whole, it DOES NOT look good.

                              • @raghavtlwr, I am quite surprised that you say Dazzler vibrates. Who told you?? The engine of Dazzler is the same as Unicorn with different state of tuning. The smoothness of Dazzler's engine is a bit below than the Unicorn, but it is very very smooth without any vibes at high speeds. I reiterate, you can happily cruise the whole day at 85 speeds on highways with Dazzler. Do not think that GS150 is extrasmooth than Dazzler. Also, Dazzler gives almost same mileage as GS150R (read my comment about FE in previous post)

For fun factor, I will not buy GS150R. I will buy an FZ or next Dazzler. Also, if I am riding in city most of the time, I will choose an FZ or Dazzler over GS150. The peak power of Dazzler lies at higher rpms, and it will not run out of breath at higher speeds. Also, remember that Dazzler's 0-100 figures are better than GS150 (per magazines). If you still believe Dazzler's engine vibrates and cannot cruise at higher speeds, I will take it as a joke.

I said the above to give you some facts; i am not trying to convince you to buy Dazzler. I see you are quite inclined towards GS150R. Do not think too much, just go ahead and buy and you will not regret.
