Its easy and can be done by us.

In our gs we have enough place to insert our hands to pull of the pilot lamp plug in cable.

I just done that and hold the default bulb glass part and pulled it out

Yes, your guess is right I fixed the led one put the things back to position and used a screw drive to push and ensure the pilot lamp is placed well.

Sorry guys both my hands are busy so no photo.

The pilot lamp is more bright on idle and when at speed its less bright comparing to idle
    Thanks to the RR unit.

Any time this led is brighter than default bulb.

        Hi Guyz,
I bought a Suzuki GS150R just 1 yr back in Delhi. I'm looking to sell it off. For the simple reason: now I got a car and dont drive the bike anymore. not even 100 Kms a month now. So, I find little point in keeping it. Condition is excellent as I've always maintained it like my dear bike. All services done on time. It has run abt 5400 kms. If anyone will be interested, please contact me on [email protected]
If you can suggest any online forum where I can post this too...please lemme know

        cheers,
        Ashok

Its bit hard to hold the the back end of the pilot lamp cable / bulb holder use a small size cutting player.

Ask for pulsar pilot lamp led. Most led works on both DC and AC

2 Upjetting(some pulsar thing yu mentioned)-Mainjet RTR180 and Needlejet P180,around 200bucks for the total carb kit per bike, would consider you lucky,if you only get them single piece
3 Free flow aftermarket Exhaust(must be good with the cops too)-No idea, maybe 4000 bucks for really good ones.

If you get it all right then you would be having a bike capable of 16 horses easy.
thankssssss.......one more question......do i need to install free flow exhaust.......wont just k&n and upjetting increase the no of horses......if yes then by how much????

I dont know much about it but i guess that it is something to do with the engine oil. Maybe it is the part of the SJCS.

                  • Hi Guys,

I got my GS150r on 25 sep 2010, Its orange color and I have completed 350km. This is my first bike, so i don’t have more knowledge about bike. Up to now I am very happy about my bike but still have some queries.

                    1) Initially bike runs smooth, once I crossed more than 3 km then getting engine knocking sound/boulder grinding sound.

                    2) Now i am riding my bike below 4.2 rpm, where i can shift gears up to 6 which touch near by 60 kmph. Is it good to ride before first service?

                    3) Even chain became loose, some time I can hear the sound.

                    4) Idling 1.5 rpm.

Please advice me above queries, Shall I wait up to first service or I have to report immediately to Service center guys.

for the first point you should go to suzuki service asap.

rest of the three points are minor issues but while going to service center report the other issues also

I think the grinding noise should be given more attention.
Rectify it immediately, do not wait for the service to get due.

During the running in period, do not raise engine RPM above the limit set in ECO mode (4.5 in tacho). But it is advisable to raise the RPM occasionally. Give some speed bursts now and then.

Chain becoming loose is common in running in period. Allow part to settle down. Check after 1st service.

Idling can be adjusted using idling screw on right side of the bike.

                        • I have bought a GS150R on 22 Sept 2010. Bike is doing great, got it after reading this column. 700 Km done, will give for 1st service after 950kms.
                          My observations

                          1. This is a huge monster, cannot compare it with any other bike. Its a bike with some qualities of all good bikes around, like unicorn's smoothness, pulsar's gadgetry, height/width/length like hunk, engine sound & big bike feel like a bullet. Along with Speed, stability, cornering ability, gadgets, stunning looks, it also gives the owner a happy feeling of being the privilege owner of one of its kind bike. i feel the unicorn name would have suited the gs150r better because of its rareness & unique features & engine. (My personal view, no offence unicorn guys)

2.No major problems yet, except squeaking noise like a mouse. This was very loud from the rear end of the bike after the 1st few days of buying the bike. the svc did some oiling & the sound had reduced. however it has now crept back & seems to be coming from the front area.

3.Calculated Milage using R-R: 52 kms on highway running. After 1st service will try full tank method.

                          4. After so many days i drove my wife's scooter pleasure. The pleasure's handle felt so lighter than my gs150r. Is the handling of gs150r heavier or mine needs oiling/ loosening?

                          5. Sometimes when i shift gears from 1st to 2nd there is a false neutral. is this common?

                          6. Also while downshifting, 3rd to 2nd sometimes is a problem as the gear seems to be lost. (especially if the bike is slowed from high speed)

                          7. i will fit the pulsar's led pilot lamp on mine. can anyone suggest the best headlamp bulbs/leds which would not require any electrical setup change?

                          8. People in the blog say not to exceed 4.5 rpm but manual says not to exceed 5 rpm. I have only once exceeded 5 rpm. Would like to know whether i should give a few burst of above 5 rpm < 7.5 rpm before 1st service?

                          9. As mentioned by others, sometimes the engine seems butter smooth, but sometimes rough. This i feel is the engine's peculiar character. how one starts the engine, warms it, initial startup, etc makes the engine smooth or rough. its like treat your bike right in every minute details & it will serve you like you are a king, otherwise its rough. (This is my personal illusion)

                          10. Lastly, this is a very special bike. GS150R is unlike any other bike & GS150R like bike will not be made in years to come. Its a totally unique bike, so ENJOY
