Help out guys
Hi Guys! Tomoro Iam gonna give my bike for first service!
Completed 475kms on odo so far. Crossed 6K sometimes and went to 70+ four times. But 80% of the time bike speed in range 30-50 kmph.
I got mileage average 47 using R-R method
What are the thing i must ask SC engineer to do?
I have the following to ask:
1) Making the ladies handle higher
2) Focusing Headlights
3) Sharpening Brakes
4) Making the fuel knob tight.
Have i maintained bike well or ripped it? Anything else to ask Sc engineers guys?, Pls guide me on this!!!

generally single sprockets are not available these days, you have to buy entire kit, which means front sprocket, chain and rear sprocket and they are available at any 2-wheelers company stores.(Hero Honda,Bajaj,Honda,TVS,Yamaha and Suzuki)Originally posted by thunderstorm View Posthey guys i would like to know where u can find bigger sproket for our gs,i would like to replace mine with a bigger one, can any one please tell me where i can get them in chennai or hyd
.
generally Yamaha and TVS sprockets provide direct fit on Suzuki bikes, while Bajaj and Hero Honda sprockets needs machining, milling and centering to be fitted on the rear hub.
If you go for larger rear sprocket, you will lose top speed but would gain in initial pick-up.So choose your mods carefully.I feel stock GS is the best 150cc bike one can have.
42 teeth rear sprocket is found on Yamaha R15 and Crux, stock GS rear sprocket is 41 teeth.Modding sprocket more than two teeths less or more, affects the bike's performance and changes its character drastically. If you are modding your bike for stunts go for large rear sprocket. If you want the all round character its better to stick to stock.Hell's Angel

thanks bro!
thanks for that, i changed my rear tyre from stock to 110/90 zapper q, the chain got loose all the time i had the mech removed some links and the bike was fine for 2 weeks or so!but then back to begining same old story chain getting loose this time i go to the mech he said it's worn out so i was prepared to go for a larger sproket and strong chain which will have more tensile strength,i asked the sc guys about this they said that they are not available here so i asked them to replace the sporket and chain they did that, they said that u have to go to madras to find bigger sproket and chain!so i asked u guys,if any of u guys have spare time can u find out wher u can buy a bigger sporket and chain, that be helpful,if u give me the adress i'll come to chennai and buy those spares!Originally posted by MACH50 View Postgenerally single sprockets are not available these days, you have to buy entire kit, which means front sprocket, chain and rear sprocket and they are available at any 2-wheelers company stores.(Hero Honda,Bajaj,Honda,TVS,Yamaha and Suzuki)

The beast is back
Wow the home page of xbhp is looking clean...

Guys, What's the thing about the xbhp magazine??

Got my GS after 5th service this evening. Tank repainting was done superbly and it cost Rs. 650. Plus other charges for oil, oil filter, labor charges, etc.. and the total expenditure was Rs.1060.
But the bike is feeling brand new now. Really loved the way the bike was going when I rode the 30 kms to home. Ride became extra smooth with slick gear shifting and great acceleration. The joy of silently overtaking fellow riders was back. Overall, I am really happy with the servicing.

Guys, I am really planning to get K&N air filters for my baby.
If anyone of you have installed it please quote the model number which is suitable for GS and also approximate price.I checked the website of K&N but could not make out the appropriate size and model. Please help..Suzuki GS150R (2009)
Bajaj Discover 125 (2005)
Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi (2011)

Fitting the KN filter on the GS can be a headache, since it wont be a direct fit.Originally posted by kjsooraj View PostGuys, I am really planning to get K&N air filters for my baby.

The stock air filter is awkward and the air box doesn't have any orientation to place the KN in it,confidently. So what you have to do is to get the KN on the carburetor directly and you have to remove the stock air-box to make space in the open.
Now, if you remove the air box and your bike is ridden in rains or kept in rains or during the rainy season, moisture would make it to the airfilter and it would be clogged from getting any air-flow thus resulting in bike bogging down due to loss of air flow.
Also even if you succeed in placing the air-filter then you have to upjet the carb because without upjet your bike would run lean and hot enough to fry valve trains.
But after all this if you really put the KN and upjet your carb with Pulsar180 needlejet and RTR180 mainjet.............your bike would beat a R15 in top speed and would eat away a Pulsar220F in acceleration, believe me.
But all these mods are difficult and would change the stock bike character.
The model available in India and generally used is KN-RC1060.Hell's Angel
