If you bikes IDLING varies accordingly i.e. cold-1000-1100, hot 1300-1500
but you feel something missing power
you may consider, a bit richer mixture with very little lowering the idle
    from current positions.

I know many of us, face same issue
My bike fits this description. Should I increase the fuel by a half or quarter turn? The bike doesn't ever gets stalled in neutral, so is the air screw alright, or do I need to do all the process again (raise the rpms to 3000 then adjust each screw)?

yes you have do it all over again n consider to turn .25-turns more than current one.

              • Will Miss My GS...

Guys feeling really sad. Met with an accident while going to the college. A stupid girl had came in between on her scooty, did'nt even bother to look at the oncoming traffic while crossing the road.

Coming to the damage part. Front forks got rigged.handle bar got completely twisted. It came almost to the left one.wind shield is broken.the right air scoop is broken. A hell lot of scratches are there. Also the key is broken and got stucked into the ignition.

                I got shocked.The headlamp did'nt even had a scratch...

Immediately gave the bike to the svc. Head svc guy told me all the fibre parts cover 50% insurance and rest metal part like fork, handle part cover 100% and will be completely replaced...I am happy to hear this but at the same time feeling sad coz i'll get it after 10-15 days...will miss my GS...

Can anyone give me some suggestion how to remove the scraches ??? I'll get crazy if the scratches are there...

Buddy take care of yourself. The other day i too had a fall from the gs due to my bike slipping in the sand while entering the building compound. Both me and wife got hurt little bit on our legs.Thank god the bike did not slip on the main road otherwise the consequences would have been worst.
So buddy take care while driving .

                  • I am having Good time in the mileage department of GS with my last 2 Refillings giving me 58-60KMPL and driving around 60-70KMPH which is Awesome. The Only thing is that I am kind of getting a jerk whenever i switch gears even though i am releasing the clutch properly. The Bike kind of feels that the Clutch is not disengaging properly as i leave it immediately it takes some time. Any Ideas on how to solve this?

Buddy dont tune the carb too much, the threads on that screw are delicate, and if it gets spoilt you'll have to get a new carb which would be like 6k+.

And regarding your question, just try quarter turn, and ride for a day or two and see if there's improvement, if not, then try another quarter turn, because last time a turned it by half a turn, and it became too rich.

                        • @kasperrmat i somewhat believe in leaving some things for the SVC guys and the carb was tuned by the Suzuki mech whom i knew very well who used the CO to do the whole tuning.I am reluctant to do the carb thing myself. My main reason i think for the roughness i am getting currently is consistent Rains causing me to run on all dirty roads and the bike getting all the Dirt of the world. I cleaned it once the bike became fine but back to square one now. Since i have done 6800Kms only 700 more for my Final Free Service.

Well that could be a reason for the jerk but i don't get it always this is the first time i am getting it probably the clutch needs some adjustment.

Any way hope everything gets solved.

p.s just know that i was getting 51KMPL before the mech turned the screw anti-clockwise by about .50 turn

                          • Some sick son of a ***** scribbled all over the tank of my GS..
I used to park the bike near bus station from where I board to my working place. Today evening when I took the bike that son of a F***ing ***** had done his masterpiece on the tank. As it was dark I didn't noticed it. Saw it only after reaching home..
Guys, can I get it rectified at SC. Now I am really broken hearted... I am thinking of giving the bike for the 5th service tomorrow itself...
