Is their any ban from Govt side for 12V 35/35 White Halogen.

Your only choice other than this bulb is HID for getting white type illumination Cost 1110 to 1400 when i check price in pudupet chennai

By the way I touched 6K today
and it was 2400 Kms with Motul 20w-40

here is my Review of Motul 3000T 20W -40 Mineral oil on GS150R

Usage Statistics:

Top Speed Reached: 121 KMPL (didint try to reach more, found it has enough power to do some more)
Average Speed: 40 to 55 Kmph
Riding Condition 95 % City rest 5% High way.
Usage Pattern [load]: [Family] with Wife and kid and most of the times driving along with kid only.

Mileage:

Lower Mileage 48 kmpl
Top Mileage 61 Kmpl
Average Mileage 55 Kmpl
Petrol Used 95 % Shell

First 2000 Kms it was cool gear change and engine sound is wow great
no issues at all.
What happen after 2000 Kms :
Even after 2000 Kms its good some times gear changing is bit hard and today i found engine is not getting cooled down faster as it happened earlier during the first 2000 kms

For typical city office / Family commuting you know GS is the Best among all 150Cc and i would say Motul is best oil to get best performance out of our Beast.

maybe.......also you would using higher fuel to run an engine which is still yet to come to terms with its activity.

@segagt_0 ur bike looks neat....with the cover off.........why dont u remove the back lip below number plate......it would give a more sporty look and as rains r gone now so even the pillion wont be drenched in mud frm ur tyre......

@Maestro........with the stock exhaust on........you will pump some 15.2bhp out of it,still good.........it will show in top speed and acceleration.

@MSN1.......change the oil now,longer times in cooling down of engine........is showing the age of the oil.

White halogen is useless. If you want to stick to halogens only, do some load shedding, disconnect the pilot lamps and add 55/60 Osram silverstar bulb. But the best bet is to add HID only.

1. i want to change the light of digital console to sky blue from orange (i Kinda dnt like the orange color) is it possible ??

2. which HID light should i buy for the pilot lamp of the bike ???

3. will it affet the battery performance ???

Change the oil..
as mentioned by you cooling time is increased it;s better to change now.
I am also using the same oil but i used to change oil after 2000KM...
even if it is some what brown in colour..

Anything is possible, but it's too much of a headache. If you know electronics, then proceed. Don't trust local mechanics on this.

HID for pilot lamp Pilot lamps can have LED not HID.

HID will eat up battery in City, use LED pilot lamps in city, and HIDs on highways, or use in city with caution. Don't use horns/self starter much when you use HID.

First long ride on my GSR. from bangalore to vellore. approx 450 km. top speed 123 kmph on flat road. but i noticed 1 weird thing. I left bangalore with 2 bars of fuel and it went to reserve after 60 km. i filled tank ie. 15 litres. went to vellore and came back and now its shows 1 bar. Wtf is happening ? i was cruising at 100 kmph though. Is there a style of riding i should adapt to get more mileage on long ride with good cruising speeds? I filled shell the first 2 times. this time i dint find shell so HP.

ya..definitely post the pics after fewdays.
and at last i brought home my GSR today after a thorough inspection. The hiccup free start, nice pick up, comfortable position in total I enjoyed the short ride today.
Ill be back soon as my machine would cover more numbers in odo.
My thanks to all those whose evaluative comments here on GSR, which made me to stick to this amazing machine(i hope so)
