changed

I changed headlight today. i searched many shops for 55/60 OSRAM SILVERSTAR but it wasnt available anywhere, all of them said "55/60 nahi chalata hum sirf 100/90 ke uper ka osram rakhate hai."
so started looking for Phillips, I got Phillips 55/60 H4 bulb which was Made in Germany..got it for INR 160,
there was Indian {so called Korean} version too which was INR 80. I settled with German bulb. yet to check it out in night, when i checked in parking it brights up above 2500 RPM i am very satisfied with light provided.

I havent changed Parking lights though, thinking about changing em to free 10W.

Hey, please REPLAY. Are Red colored pilot/parking LEDs available???
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I say black GSR doesnt looks that good those white stickers spoil everything...Grey is good why dont you look at Blue-Black one it also looks somewhat professional..I have Orange-Black thoughOriginally posted by sameershiraj View PostThats nice to hear, so its a maintenance free bike like Unicorn
Yeah GSR have rights. The choice of grey color is for the following reasons
*My area heavy parking is there, its easy to spot ur vehicle in amidst of black pulsars
* Grey looks unique and also professional
*Dust and dirt wll not be visible on grey, so that advantage too
Anyway what colour you suggest for me?
between grey and black

Hey, please REPLAY. Are Red colored pilot/parking LEDs available???
Your GSR is of which color ?? mine is Blue so i think philips 10w blue bulb will suite it better...
Red LED's dont look good on the pilot lamps.....I think so.....personal choice afterall....
Would you guys like to give me any suggestions on what color pilot lamps will suite my blue GSR ???Guys Follow me on Facebook

Get pure white pilot LED or white with bluish tinge(similar to most HIDs)..Originally posted by Arish View PostHey, please REPLAY. Are Red colored pilot/parking LEDs available???

The blue/red/green etc etc colours dont seem to look good at all, they appear sort of dim and your bike will look like some local poser bike with a sad mod.
I'm saying this out of experience of seeing pulsars with those colour pilot lamps.

even i got 127kmph and do 120+kmph easily....Originally posted by Arish View PostI believe it cannot go further 117....because i have proof...correct me if iam wrong..
Sorry guys for the low quality of the video...i have another one which is of high quality but somehow its not being uploaded......!!!
in my latest G2G was smoking out with karizma/pulsar 220/avenger 200....at 120+kmph...the uni/fazer were even not doing 110+.....but riding at such high speeds is dangerous though i wear proper riding gear....
the bike looks good for 125cc segment.......Originally posted by Augustine09 View PostThis bike is too good to look...
could'nt get better pic of the bike... But look at the alloys... I believe GS's alloys are best looking in the market and this Slingshot is even more gorgeous.
I'd like to see this go past the discovers and the shines in sales.
I believe Suzuki is back in the competitive market.
After the samurais and the shoguns, its the GS and SS. Waiting for some 250 cc models too.
i think suzuki is planning to launch B-King 250cc model in india next year...m waiting for it!!!
For GS 35 watt 4000-4300k lumens.......its the best........m yet to try it on......Originally posted by Arish View PostHey can anyone tell me which HID is the best in terms of brighter light & watts ?? I am not going to fix it coz i already have one...
just curious to know....
try going for Philips bluevision 4000k 5W5 signalling lamp.....these are used in cars but are perfecct fit in GS sockets......check my avo.....i have them on.......Originally posted by Arish View PostHey, please REPLAY. Are Red colored pilot/parking LEDs available???

The Slingshot looks like a crap
,especially in a market which has the likes of Gladiator and the CBF Stunner.
If it doesn't provide 11bhp,its a goner like the earlier 125cc twins of Suzuki. No doubt they were good bikes, but general public wont appreciate them from the figures they make on the paper.
@Arish:brother if possible please leave a visitor message or a PM indicating, which region of my helmet face shall I tuck the camera into.I am finding it difficult. The Helmet is a good fit for me,but the problem is,the camera switches are being messed with my face,or my nose,or it is blocking my eyes
.
If I had knowledge how you fit it in the helmet, you would have seen my GSR doing 120kmph+ by now,coz I achieve that within city limits on a road just 10minutes away from the doorstep of my home.
@Maestro:yeah you seem to have been there on the GS

Yup! I too think it doesnt look attractive as gladiator and Stunner. I too have seen in the showroom, looks small as bajaj discoverOriginally posted by MACH50 View PostThe Slingshot looks like a crap

Works well for me,factory settings of the showroom condition GSR will fry my valve trains if I keep them even after the run-in is over.
Something that Suzuki has got is called XTP-Xtra Torquey Performance on the GS150R is meant for the sudden kick in the gut torque coming from 3500rpms to 6000rpms,and from 7000rpm to 10000rpm its the bhp that makes it go 65-100kmph faster than the Pulsar220F.So its not the same old power-its the 13.8Nm earth shattering torque absent on the Unicorn,Xtreme,RTR,Hunk,Pulsar..........that propels this mini-enfield in the 0-60,with its humongous 149kg weight.Personally what I feel, that if anyone goes only for the KN,the low-end would increase. The Pilot jet of its carb is useless compared to its weight.
'but its only a matter of time'-I totally agree with you.............GSR makes the best Streetfighter if one gets a hold of its weight and torque range.Even pro-riders in my group agrees with the fact that it will fry FZ,P150,Unicorn,RTR and then eat it,and digest it and then squat and drop the remains of those somewhere, when it comes to Streetfight..........given the fact that its being ridden by the likes of them or me
No wonder,I do 80-90kmph in a sub-45kmph zones in peak traffic hours, when I feel I am getting late for my scheduled work
or when I feel, someone wants to smoke my spanking Love.I feel sorry for them, when they come looking for me and finds me enjoying a chai at the roadside stop, while they are trying very hard to catch up with me on their fat tyres, light weight mean looking machines or highly vibrating machines or ultra refined monoshock machines
The torque of GSR is absent on any 150cc Bike, except the FZ.But FZ is a slow motor........so its not a RX100.
Dude I completely agree with you. In fact more precisely wit respect to its specs it has got 13.4Nm @ 6000 rpm. With the same kinda segment R15 has got maximum torque of 15nm@7500rpm. So it is much more higher than the GS right ? So I think in my point of view the kerb weight & the power contributes the character of the engine/bike. What do you say ?" If you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be !!! "

Hi Augustine. Hmmm Slingshot has poor specifications for 125cc bike. Even bajaj discover is better in specs also 110cc twister has 9bhpOriginally posted by Augustine09 View PostHey Mach... Unfortunately, the specifications for Slingshot doesn't seems to be great...

Are you talking of a Liquid Cooled 4 Valve Engine, in the discussion of basic Air-cooled 2 Valve Engine??????? and you think that its same kind a segment.???Originally posted by rskk89 View PostWith the same kinda segment R15 has got maximum torque of 15nm@7500rpm. So it is much more higher than the GS right ? So I think in my point of view the kerb weight & the power contributes the character of the engine/bike. What do you say ?

Let me be clear about one thing,
R15 was conceptualized by Yamaha to build a Supersport segment that are defined by the likes of R1,whereas,FZ16 represents muscle-bike defined by the likes of FZ1.
Suzuki GS150R brings with it the character of GSR lineage, which means massive streetfighters like Bking or GSR600.These bikes arent meant for outright power. They induct torque at a range that can be played with in city and used for sustained high speed highway tours.
Yamaha R15 may have 15Nm torque and 17bhp power, but in city traffic and busy highway it too loses to GS150r when it comes to streetrace. The rev range of R15 is track focused just like the R1.rev the bike over 7000rpm and you know you are riding something powerful.GSR instead does that in a lowly 3500rpm zone.
I wish I was clear in discussing what you meant.
If you don't consider the basic engine construction and only look at Cubic Capacity as segments, then let me tell you, that my 110cc,2stroke Suzuki Shogun(modded) makes 17bhp and 13Nm torque at rear wheel.
Now how does a 110cc-2T making figures enough to smoke 150cc supersports sounds??? cant it be in the same kinda segment ???
Or if you are looking for the real GSXR lineage in 150cc class, then its our bad luck that Suzuki hasnt brought its FXR150 to India. It makes 20bhp,from a 150cc DOHC engine and can smoke the R15 to oblivion.
Thus, please consider justice to the GS150r.R15's tech and money lifts it to the segment of P220F,ZMR and RTR180.Last edited by MACH50; 08-25-2010, 12:40 AM.Hell's Angel
