We want at least a high revving 200 CC bike
its an 150cc performance one.....and the power of it will be somewhere around 17-18bhp.....Originally posted by sanjukoli12 View PostThe other day i had been to service center for my bikes servicing, the service engineer over their told me that suzuki is coming up with some 180cc bike.
God knows how much truth is their in his talks.
the counter person is a good friend now so he said it is indeed coming...
man as soon as it comes i'll exchange its engine for my current 13.8bhp engine.......

It seems like Suzuki is aiming for R15 rather than FZ
.
I would advise not to go for it, the manufacturers are providing performance bikes like installments. First 18 Bhp bike and when everyone purchases it then they will introduce 21 Bhp much like Bajaj and TVS
.
I would only trade my GS with a two cylinder 250 CC bike with decent performance and average. Else I'm more than happy with GS.
Lets wait and see what the package is

Is this a teaser to a new Suzuki performance bike launch?Originally posted by Maestro View Postguys the suzuki speculation bike is coming in sept 2011......its designed to eat the share of the fz's market.....I saw this teaser video twice on Discovery Science Channel last night.Originally posted by venuvinodks View Post^^^

Initially I thought it was the same video as the one thats being aired for Suzuki cars. But when I saw it again the second time round, I realised, the ad was based on the same theme as the Suzuki cars ad, but there were, what seemed like superbikes racing around town and the race circuit with a voiceover: "The world RIDES on Suzuki, so will India"
Mind you, the voiceover says 'RIDES' not 'DRIVES' as in the cars ad.
Something to speculate about for the coming months...

My bike chokes at 4k to 4.5k rpm through the gears.(open throttle and it pulls back). took it to the service centre today and that guy convinced me that the chain is loose. lol! my bike has done 375 kms. Will make one more visit anyways this weekend is things dont improve. Will take the matter higher up if these guys dont listen.Originally posted by Anupdas View PostThe block in air went dont have anything to do with tank cover
. So its not the problem. Can you specify when the choking occurs? Does it happen when you open the throttle and engine refuses to rev? Usually these kind of problems occur due to improper carburetor tuning
. What's the average you are getting?

It seems more like a tuning issue than a mechanical one. No loose chain will give such a choking.Originally posted by cbf150m View PostMy bike chokes at 4k to 4.5k rpm through the gears.(open throttle and it pulls back). took it to the service centre today and that guy convinced me that the chain is loose. lol! my bike has done 375 kms. Usually the choking occurs at a higher rpm say above 5 K mark, it is usually referred as a lag. When we open the throttle, the air flow increases but the air-fuel mixture wont be proportional so the engine appears to be out of breadth. Does this choking occurs due to sudden opening of throttle? Do you feel the engine is getting hot after a short sprint? If you experience these it may be due to a carburetor tuned to leaner side.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

well i havent checked post 5k rpm as i am still running in the bike. but when cruising at 50 to 60 and even if the throttle is kept slightly open it kind of jerks. I noticed that this problem starts only after 8km or so of riding.Dont think the engine is overheating. I doubt it is a tuning problem because its just covered 400km and is factory tuned. Cold start 1000rpm, hot 1500 rpm. Idling perfectly.Originally posted by Anupdas View PostIt seems more like a tuning issue than a mechanical one. No loose chain will give such a choking.

If you are riding in top gear(6th) at 50 and open the throttle there will be a small thud due to knocking. Now i think the problem is knocking.Originally posted by cbf150m View Postwell i havent checked post 5k rpm as i am still running in the bike. but when cruising at 50 to 60 and even if the throttle is kept slightly open it kind of jerks. Don't think that factory tuning is always perfect, when the engine begins to settle, tuning is required. What is the mileage you are getting?Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

earlier i did faced it not able to cross 80 kmph i cant say its a sort of jerk i felt like running out of petrolOriginally posted by cbf150m View Postwell i havent checked post 5k rpm as i am still running in the bike. but when cruising at 50 to 60 and even if the throttle is kept slightly open it kind of jerks. But after i tuned the golden screw to (3 rotations from fully closed position) i did passed 3 digit mark
@ cbf150m leave that headache to SVC guys as its not the right time to play with the golden screw on your bike
@ Falcon
what you said about Shell advanced fast track oil was true
here is my first 50 kms report
>> gear changing cant happen with out sound (its not butter smooth) but its not rough can be called as stiff.
>> one who used motul will feel unhappy with this shell variant as even engine sound and behavior is bit stiff
let me see how it settle down after 100 kmsSarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

It happens not only in top gear but gears 3 4 5 6 . I am getting a mileage of 43km/lt.Originally posted by Anupdas View PostIf you are riding in top gear(6th) at 50 and open the throttle there will be a small thud due to knocking. Now i think the problem is knocking.
