The squeaking sound can be from two sources
    1. Swing arm nut

    2. Accumulated dust between brake pads and disc
Mount on the bike and apply pressure on seat to know if its coming from swing arm. It was the source for my case.

We can notice the noise while applying the brake, on regular washing include brake pads as well. It will be gone.

You are not mentioning the tik-tik sound which comes after parking the bike, are you? The other source of sound can be the tappeting sound from the camshaft.

Always make it a habit to kick start when we are firing engine for the first time. Some tips provided by senior members are to turn on the engine kill and kick 2-3 times. This will make the piston move and will provide some lubrication. Turn off the engine kill and then kick, it will definitely fire in one try.

Also check your idling rpm is set to 1500 when engine is hot. But it will be as low as 1100 when engine is cold. It will climb up when it gets hot. Don't rev your engine hard when its idling. Idle engine for say half a minute. If engine stalls while idling your idling rpm needs to be raised.

have done upto 360kms at a stretch without any issues. riding at 80-90 cruising speed.

have no doubt that the bike is good for 1000kms also. You would just need a good fully synth oil though I guess. Planning for a saddlesore are you ?

i have done 800 kms trip so want to cross the coveted 1000 km mark....and yeah want to be the first one to do that.....

      1. The average. its giving me 41-43 kmpl (is it normal???)
      2. When i complete riding for about 10 km or so, an awkward sound (like mouse creates) is coming from the front wheel.
I showed it to service centre, for mileage they said wait till 2nd service, and for sound problem mechanic just used air blower at the disc brakes.... But still the problem persists.

      Can anyone help me out
wait for the second service......and the sound is due to dust particles on the brake pads....so use your front brakes more often.....

I dont really mind calling me baba, but it would be nice to call my name itself. BTW Mach I'm unmarried just like you. Lets not discuss about this anymore as we are spamming our thread. Sorry for my OT posts so far.

Even I haven't came across the adv.

The first time Suzuki came into India, they showed their GSXRs racing near the Taj Mahal, only to reveal the Zeus and Heat following in !!!

However, their most loved motorcycle being the GS150R speedy performer, they have realised the taste of the new Indian youth,I hope they deliver so.

                          • Hi all,

I have done 600KM on odo and going for first service in next week which is very satisfying experiance till now .
                            I have some doubts??

                            1) Can i stretch my bike to higher RPM's (5K-6K) before first service. Normally i am in 40-55 range under 4500 RPM but Yesterday i took my bike to 70KM speed in 6th gear with 5K RPM for 2 min .
I dont want to my bike perform well for 40-60 and make resistence interms of noise and mileage if i drove 60-90 speed after run-in period. For that purpose i want to stretch my bike with different RPM's. IS it OK or any serious damage is there???

waiting for senior members suggestions and comments....

                            2) When i am searching for a new bike (which refers to last 4 months) I dont know about this bike. Initially my choice was Unicorn/pulsar. After I went through this thread i choosen GS 150 R . Thanks to SAM9s who was started this thread. He is disappearing from thread from so long time. can any one know????

Hi i am not a senior member, but still i would like to give my opinion.
I have run bike for 2500kmts till now. I too had threw similar questions like you in this community. Some seniors told nothing would happen if you take the bike to 5000 r/m occassionally. i too have taken the bike till 90 kmph before the first service.
My bike is very fine till now. Changed oil during 1st service, later again in 1500kmts range(though manual doesn't insist).
                              all the best brother...happy riding.

Its really hard not to open throttle, especially when its new. Occasional bursts of acceleration is ok. The important thing to remember while running in period is not to ride in constant rpm. Vary the engine rpm freely and change the gears according to engine rpm. Riding in higher gears at lower rpm is not at all advised.

As you said occasional bursts of acceleration will make your engine free revving. I think you meant free revving by saying resistance. For first 800 kms don't rev past 6K mark, accelerate and decelerate smoothly.

If you have any doubt feel free to ask.
