  • Today I accidentally got on the National Highway & then was heading towards the south end of Mumbai in the afternoon.. The 200 M road ahead had not a single vehicle.. I smiled, pulled the throttle hard & reached 101 KPH in no time & the bike was so damn steady.. I just could not stop grinning.. First time in life have I experienced such speed
    WoW *_*

      • Hi Guys,

Got the Gs150 R bike Yesterday. The comfortability is awesome. Smooth Gear changing. One change I noticed is that the Gear 1 is not displayed. It becomes blank and then comes bank. It looks like it is refreshing(Takes a couple of seconds)

Meanwhile, I have not yet received my invoice, owner manual and tool kit. I took the bike around 11 am and they asked me to come at 4 to collect those. I called them at 4.30 and the person said he will ring me back at 6. I called at 6.30 and he said it has not yet arrived from main office and asked to come on Monday and assured me it's delivery..I paid full cash last monday itself and requested the bike to be delivered on friday. Unfortunately, i was not able to pick it up on friday and called and informed I would come on saturday..

I went to the showroom and the black colour bike was the first one(Near the gate on the parking lot). When asked about the bike, he said the bike needs water wash and mine was the first bike. It is extremely shocking to see the new bikes(to be delivered) being parked along with the visitors vehicle..

Seriously, some care needs to be there for the new vehicles. I am sure they would not shift the bikes if rain comes.. I waited for an hour to get the number and plate to be fixed...Anyway, I got the bike delivered around 10.50...

The total customer experience was not up to the mark. But the guy(Abdul) with whom I conversed helped me a lot and answered all my questions. If all the people were like him, the experience would have been really GREAT..

After I rode the vehicle to my home, the quality of the bike exceeded all the above things..The vehicle was very smooth and I felt like in avatar movie when the hero captures on the big dragon( toruk). I mean the compatibility is so suited and I love riding it. I believe that's he reason suzuki is not concentrating well on marketing and customer service??

Coming to the safety front, I am careful not to exceed more than 40-45. The one thing that I feel difficult to control is the gears. In past bikes, I have always ridden in top gear for 40(Avg). However, I am in 6 th gear in 40- 45. I hope certain guyz can understand what I am trying to tell. I agree that we need to use the 6th Gear somewhat on higher speeds ..maybe 60,70 +(I have not checked the user manual)

        I have some clarifications

        1. How to change Economy mode/power mode(I am not really sure of the digital controls)
        2. When I inquired about bike cover, he said the cost is around 250. The thing I noticed is that it is not fully covering it. Can we get customer made covers and If i put a tank cover, it needs to cover the whole side(Is it possible? If yes, what will be the cost ?)
        3. What is the cost of seat cover?

Last but not the least, I really thank you guyz for providing me valuable suggestions and I hope I will receive the same in future...

I am using my old helmet itself and riding safely and wish you guys the same!!

        • Hi guys i dont know if this has been discussed before here but i want to know some things about the fuel meter. How much is one block in fuel meter. I mean how much a block represents the petrol in litres.
According to me i did this the tank is 15.5 litres means the fuel meter will show all 5 blocks when tank is full. So 1 block will represent 3.1 litres. But few days before when my bike showed only 1 block.(3.1lr) It was not reserve also which is at 3.5lr. After that i drove 40 km still bike was not on reserve. So i am confused about the fuelmeter readings.
Also when i park bike on side stand and when i start the bike it shows false fuelmeter reading. It shows an additional block and when i drive for few distance that one block is gone. I guess this must be due to the sensor may be on left side of the tank.
          Please enlighten me gspians

Q 1 . Turn on the key and keep holding the set button in console till the console digital screen goes blank or the word eco blinks now press the adj button once now you will see the word pwr blinking if you want power mode just press set button once and. Start driving

If you want eco mode them press the adj till eco blinks them press set button to set it.

Request: during run-in period using eco mode is best and it will let you keep driving with in the adviced band rpm.

I cant answer the second question as my dealer provides the seat cover free of cost

From which city you are from I know one service engineer named abdhul in banglore millers road suzuki

            @ mayur2j

All bars doesn't represent the same quantity of petrol, but the last bar is approx. Of 4 litters
            Refer manual for more info..
            -..........

From this morning I heard a deferent note from engine while accelerating checked with local mechanic by driving 1 kms with him and found silencer packing near the silencer joining point in engine is causing it. Going to svc tomorrow for a fix....

Sidestand false fuel meter is applicable to all bikes

The last bar alone is 4 ltrs
And recerve capacity alone is 3.5 ltrs ( so to empty you need to drive 150 kms atleast)

Our tank is capable of holding 19 or 20 ltrs.

can you explain why this happens?
you can check out the wiring stuff for our carb then you'll understand that it is controlled electronically
                  hence you get three modes.....

                  It also controls rev limiter.

In ECO mode:the bike has a lot of low-end torque, the sixth gear can be shifted at 4000rpms only in this mode, without the bike feeling wrong.

In PWR mode:some good mid-range torque, fast pick-up like Zma but Top end is lost.

In GOD mode:well I am the boss,I shift it at 8500 rpms when I need to do some very quick 0-100kmph,bike shoots to 120kmph and does the 127kmph with ease.It then feels normal,no or less low end torque, punchy midrange, truckloads of top end power, revs till 10,000rpm with ease, rev limiter then ticks in.Nature is too much like the R15,only on a bit easier and comfortable side.

There is really some mode magic in this bike.

                  At,68K,you get,
SJCS-Suzuki Jet Cooling System (advanced air cooled engine)
                  6th gear-how many air-cooled 2V 150s have six cogs???
Gear indicator-I think only Suzuki bikes in India have it !!!
                  Vibration reducing harness-Superb touring ability.
XTP-the technology emblazoned on the Bandit,Hayabusa,Bking, check them out in flesh to know.
Biggest metal Fuel tank in the 150cc category.

Do you still doubt that the Mode facility is nothing more than a Rpm shift indicator just because this is a 68K bike???? !!!!!!!

few of those features would also be found on the 1Lac+ R15
and most of those features would be found on the 12.5Lac HayaBusa or the 9.5lac Bandit.
where is that shrikky.......make him read this.......(no offence people).....
                  mach baba ki jaiiiii......

As far as i know.....there are sensors on sidewalls of the tank.....so even if one sensor is working (i.e.)when you put your bike on side stand only left wala sensor is activated and it shows readings not upto the mark.....the only way to avoid this is sit on the bike then put the ignition on......

I dont think our tank will hold 19 to 20 litres. I got a doubt after reading this post, it was in pulsar 135 thread.

This was my first interstate ride and also the only time I have completely filled up the tank to the brim. Whenever I filled up from 'almost *' reserve to to a tank full, All over Karnataka with the petrol prices hovering around 57/58 for unleaded, it took me approx petrol worth Rs.880/900(Approx 15.3/15.68(max) litres) for a tank up.

Last weekend, while getting out on my ride to home from Pune to Nasik, I tanked up at Shell Pump at Kasarwadi (Pune) from a similar 'almost *' reserve to tank full(to the brim) and I could only fill petrol worth Rs.790(@Rs.58.45/litre) i.e. 13.5 litres for tank full.

I hope people got my drift.

Anyways, for a tank full, only 15.5 liters of petrol is needed if you are filling at a Shell Station i.e. Pay for 15.5 litres @Rs. 58.45(Shell normal) . However, 19/20 liters may be needed if filling at a PSU bunk like HPCL/BPCL/IOCL @57/58 i.e. pay for 19.x liters..

                            * - 'almost' here means 30 km after low fuel light glows consistently, so 10 km remaining for reserve.

P.S.: The figures were consistent for most bunks all over Karnataka, Kerela and Tamil Nadu. Which implies these bunks underfill/overcharge almost 20% each and every time. Just imagine they have been stealing Rs.10/12 per liter of fuel filled each and every time!
