Full Dc modification does not void warranty ?

I must say that people here at xbhp are extremely supportive and helpful and are always ready to help us .
Warranty? Yes it'll affect., but it covers only the electricals(Mainly Battery) if properly done.,
My bike is 4months and 17days old ie.140days and has done 10000kms..Still running like a new bike...
5 services are over ,still my SC is unaware of the modification done...
Only two people at the SC know about it and that too I'd informed them ..

Sure Shoeb, will be posting in DIY section soon.. Just waiting for our friends suggestion, if they want anyother details and all..

    Thanks Shoeb.,

      • Recently done with 10th service of my GS. Yesterday when my bike on centerstand, i tried to rotate the rear tire it's rotated but it is not moving freely. when i forcefully rotated it hardly moved 1 round and all of sudden it is stopped moving.

I suspect in tire alignment/chain adjustment . Is it cause any problem to sprockets/chain?

First of all check the rear brake. It may be jammed.

Which format is it in? If it is pdf or doc format then try scribd.com

                        1. check the rear brakes
                        2. check the chain slackness
                        3. I don't know... hihi... that's as far as my knowledge goes

                        if it was Chain:
                        a. If you find chain is too tight at all position of rear wheel then you may have to loosen it a bit with slackness reference from owner's manual.
                        b. If you find chain dry and dirty, not rolling over sprocket teeth then it needs lubrication.

                        Chain lubrication(source Vishnumkd):
                        - buy 140 grade Rear Axle oil, 140 is stickier than lower grade.
                        - buy lithium based grease.
buy both of them as low(quantity not quality) as you can get. It's a worthwhile investment. Little over 200/- I guess.

                        Cleaning before lubrication
                        - I use used engine oil, some use kerosene/diesel. If chain is clean you don't have to clean it.

Chain needs to be warm/hot to get better cleaning results.
                        - apply Axle oil to chain and spin the rear wheel on center stand for oil to reach the intricate spaces of chain. you can even run the bike in lower gears on center stand.
                        - (switch off the engine) apply lithium based grease over that.
                        - always apply grease and oil on the inside of chain as the centrifugal force forces them out and help in better lubrication.

Repeat lubricating procedure every 500 kms for better results.

My rear wheel rotates more freely, believe me; like that of a bicycle.

PS: I have Motul Chain Clean and Lube; paid more than Rs 600/- for both of them combined. They didn't offer satisfactory lubrication and cleaning.

                        spare me for my grammar...

                          • @All:Please help
                            1) Any idea why would the clutch lever be smaller(length wise) when compared to front brake lever.
                            2) I want to work on clutch adjustment not just the cable, as i am not satisfied with SVC jobs on clutch adjustment. After service, clutch will be fine for 2 or 3 days and again it will be loose and gears will be hard to shift. Any DIY link will help me. Tried to search on net, nothing much useful.
                            3) Has anyone tried to fit any round headlight dome, please let me know.

                            - Got the bike from 3rd service, I am not sure if i am incorrect here for the below expectation.
They didn't even open the bottom chain cover and cleaned it and below the seat cover too.
                            - I was looking for a right side RVM and all the three SVC doesn't have it in stock. When i was trying to procure a slingshot handle bar, i had searched almost 4 SVCs, none of them have it in stock.

God only knows ya when will the spare parts issue will be resolved only.

i have gone through the pics. everything is nice. but i have some queries regarding wiring.
why u r directly connecting ape rr yellow wire to battery instead of connecting with red wire which comes from stock rr? i checked the wiring diagram, this red wire goes to battery...
