That again depends on the riding style. In this thread itself you can find people getting an FE of 64km/l and other people getting 38 km/l.Originally posted by prajnyan View PostMileage of FZ is 30 in the city
I read it somewhere on the FZ thread that when ridden by the same rider in a similar style, both bikes offered a similar FE differing by just 2 km/l.
Punctures are something that is associated with the tyre profile. But again, if riding on tarmac, you shouldn't face too much trouble. In today's world, quotes don't matter. Quotas do!

If our friend Anthony was around, he'd probably have pointed out the power-to-weight ratios of the bikes. That is one of the reasons you feel that the acceleration is better. Other than that, SZ being a focussed city commuter has better low-end performance.Originally posted by anandsharma021 View Postyamaha has got best pickup among the three. In today's world, quotes don't matter. Problem with shocks !
Hello Experts/GSpians,
Completed my 2nd service last week.
I am finding some problem with my bike like, rear suspension feels Uneven , harder and not smooth, Checked by reducing the its height too. But still my ride is getting not so smooth kind. Had reported this problem in the time of servicing too, but they said they have rectified it , but I am still feeling the same issue
.
Do I need to have the suspension checked ? Where might be the problem?
Pls help.
Regards.Last edited by uppad1; 12-01-2011, 12:50 PM.sigpicFocus on being productive, not busy.

1 horse power for each 10.8 kg while in SZR, it is 1:11.05. In Hayabusa it is 1:1.34, and in Ninja 250, 1:5.29. For the 1 million bikes per year sold 7.6 BHP, 118 Kg Hero Honda Splendor, (109 kg dry weight + 10 litre fuel + 1 litre oil. Saree guard and crash guard ignored) it was 1 horse power for every 15.53 kgs.

It is doubtful.

power to weight ratio should obviously include weight of the rider too for ultimately on road the total weight the bike has to pull for a given bhp mattersOriginally posted by vikhyath View PostIf our friend Anthony was around, he'd probably have pointed out the power-to-weight ratios of the bikes. Consider the same rider rides different bikes. That means, if he is 70 kgs, add it to the weight of different the bikes he rides and divide it by the HP of that bike.Originally posted by safetyfirst View Postpower to weight ratio should obviously include weight of the rider too for ultimately on road the total weight the bike has to pull for a given bhp matters

If you live in a city then there is absolutely no issues with the spares.....and as said....the bike might have been abused by many people....even its oil wouldn't have been changed.....Originally posted by anandsharma021 View PostI test rode new suzuki gs150r today. Bike was looking gorgeous in black color. Finishing of the bike and paint quality is damn good. However i was feeling that when we try to accelerate the bike hard there was extra sound from the engine (something like tappet sound).
I observed that new model is slightly lighter and compact than new one or may be just my feeling.
Anyway I am going to buy the new bike (SZ, Unicorn, GS150R) on friday. What u guys suggest me among these three.
I feel sitting plan of suzuki and yamaha is the best. Unicorn is a sedate ride and bit outdated but was smooth ride. yamaha has got best pickup among the three and the sitting plan was also damn good. Looks is just ok. In my city unicorn is readily available and there are not many unicorns here. Only apache and pulsars is here running more.
I like GS in every aspect but two things are making me worried. First is engine noice that too in new motorcycle and second is spares availability. Some suzuki owners is suggesting that spares availability with dealers is not good. If some part like headlight get damaged they take more than 30 days to deliver it. Why a company like suzuki is so bad in spares availability. pls suggest.

2 things:
1> I though you were a simple villager. So, when did your village become a town?
2> I had to wait for a litle more than a week to get my exhaust replaced when I had my first crash. So, even if it may not be widespread, atleast I've faced trouble with immediate availability of spares.

not in the past 9 months, twice went to the airport road suzuki showroom to get oil filter.
why am telling this ?
Normal bike used by normal person in normal way on normal road will normally go good for long.
wear and tear will take its own course of time where we need to check and replace on time.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

Get the bike at the earliest after it reaches the dealer.
