  • @vishnukmd & everyone who knows what a lean burn engine is.

Hey might be abit OT, but recently found out that the GS150R's also a lean burn engine.
So can you please explain what it is, and is GS150R a longstroke or shortstroke???

Yes, people get admires a lot easily at 1st look, but they can't digest(accept) a product if it's from SUZUKI..
A big bunch of punch is missing from the very beginning from SUZUKI INDIA.

IMO if Baj_j has made this bike (LOL), this bike would've been in a entirely different level and would've reached the target audience so easily...
In the world of gimmick's and mimics are needed in the present day market to promote a product, SUZUKI is struggling or not even trying to market their good products that they deserve to have..

Sorry friends, this is not to hurt any body., it's just my thought about the product I own..

          • @magesh: Its inexplicable why suzuki in India is so lax in promoting their own stuff.

But I always imagined that suzuki is the type of company to sit quiet and let their products do the talking than blow their horns about being the fastest this, number1 that and all.

                  Hmmm,

even if we can think up to this, those highly educated expertized Suzuki top heads aren't sitting idle they knows what to do and they have brainy staffs to get market data analyze blah blah blah stuffs to improve their business

what am trying to say here is

Keeping our bike in good shape is our headache where as improving their revenue aka business is suzuki the company's headache

let me thank suzuki once again for providing top class bike at affordable cost.

Like the fearless [Phoenix] fiero even if suzuki closes the business am sure my current GS150R will survive another decade + years

So lets get back to our business

It is sure that Suzuki is selling more GSs now. They are lacking a good dealership network which is being developed now. Another problem is advertising. Here they are not learning anything from their sales figures.

Most welcome. Buy a good car shampoo and wax polish and wash and wax the bike regularly. Lube the chain frequently – at least in every 500 kms - from the beginning.

Forget cleaning the chain. It is useless.

Be sure to give the bike some breathing time at intervals during your long ride. Especially since its new.

No doubt, Suzuki Fiero is a legendary bike. I too am expecting the same trouble free performance from GS.

                            • I believe lean or rich burning is something related to the carb settings, moreover to the best of my knowledge in terms of engine 100 cc is a lean burn engine where 250cc and above which are not .......

Plus this: check the headlight beam and ask to adjust it if necessary, check the side panels and be sure that they are properly fitted and if the cold idle rpm is more than 1000, get it lowered.
