I am asking this as I will have to commute approximately 55 kms, so whether it will be tiresome or will I be able to commute comfortably

Just reached home after a 190 kms ride. No problem.

Completed 20,000 kms in 664 days. Average is poor; 30 kms per day.

It depends on my work.. In a week 5 out of 7 days i'll be travelling a minimum of 50-70 kms a day.. Very commuter friendly bike., A great suspension which helps in giving a comfortable ride..

I'm scared now to go on long hauls without any tool now.. I wonder what was I thinking when I rode at night sometimes without any tool or spare in my backpack.

Can we list out necessary tools and spares to carry when we undertake journey of varying(50 to more than 500 kms) distances?

          Question:
Does my tank have a rusting problemo?

Besides, regular washing and waxing gives the bike the looks of Aishwarya

                    Thanks.

Over a period of time you got to ignore these scratches. They might get on your nerves, but bike is just a thing(mechanical).

When I parked my bike by the house in Chikmangalur did you know cows and buffaloes took turns with my bike. They were easing off the itch by rubbing their parts on to my bike; eventually toppling GS.

You can be cautious but can't be serious about these things.. ease on...

                      just my thought.

                        Couldn't agree more

Just take my example, during last service, those SVC ppl have left a big scratch(rather noticeble chunk of black paint has been peeled off) on the right handle bar weight in my bike which looks ugly.

So its not only the malls but even SVCs.
Sad I didn't noticed it for few days otherwise I would have given a word or two to that SVC..

Even I don't clean my bike that often(clean by means wash) but I wipe out all the dirt and give a wax polish every 3-4 weeks..

Hide it with stickers or paint with Aerosol Spray Paint if matching color is available.

                          • Is there any way to know if the stock parts have been removed and other parts are incorporated in the bike???

It is difficult. As far as I know, this practice is very rare in Suzuki workshops as the spare parts are always available. Selling a spare part is more profitable than changing it with another bike’s.

and i think i am progressing good with the deeds i do.......i dont mind if they are crazy......and looking forward to it....

I doubt whether the svc guys have changed the rear suspension with an older one....as suddenly after 2 days from service i noticed the suspension being way tooooo hard and also rusty on the outer cylindrical part(this was not there before as i clean my bike myself hence know every bit of it).....
