But the good thing is they are ready to accept customer provided oil, what they said was the grade should be 20W-40

Gave them the following list of issues they said the estimate amount is 1000 rupees

    # clutch leaver change (as it is bent in accident) SVC said it can't be corrected and need to be replaced that would cost 150 bucks.

    # chain and sprocket cleaning.

    # oil filter and oil change (told them to pour what ever the so called svc oil will change it later after some 500 kms)

    # disk break pads and oil level check

    # final free teflon coating.

    # and the usual water wash.

Ill get it back on tomorrow.

Planning to switch to shell VSX semi synth after 500 kms.

@Akfara I told them about my doubt on engine sound volume they driven it tested and said its normal and no need to do any change.

are you doing the paid service???

They said estimate amount may be the max amount. So probably it would be lesser than that let me check tomorrow

Reg your query on B and P change its a long way thing as it involved many things

1 bore and piston is not a frequent replaceable unit hence by default dealers doesnt have it in stock.
2 dealer svc engineer should determine and dealer should recommend suzuki on the fault in your bike and then suzuki will send the B and P stuffs
3 even if you report this issue to suzuki they will call and ask you to bring the bike to dealer to check if it really needs replacement them they will call you again after getting the Spare

I just said the basic few things any company checks actually they may have one or two more process involved in this

        @cbf150m
Almost all svc are good here out of which airport road seems to be best.

From the time I bought giving it at millers road only they are nice and okay

Thru out india all svc are using their prefered oil by default. Very few good dealers allow you to bring your own oil your dealer is like that only.

yes i have the same problem. its bcuz when u start ur engine the idling is around 1000. . slightly increase ur idle rpm i.e 1400-1500 (thts why suzuki has such a high rpm)... so if the idling is at 1400.. when u start ur bike idling will be around 1100 n slowly increase along with the heat to 1400... then u wont have that kalak-kalak.... that sould is bcuz ur engine gets choked when the idling is at 1000 (cat on the wall)

              • chain noise

hey my bike has done just 80 km and i am getting noise of the chain hitting against the chain cover. I noticed when i brought the bike home from the showroom itself. I checked the chain slack and its okay, i dont want them over tightening the chain. It is pronounced in 3rd gear. Any solutions? is it a common problem?

happy that Ur not in the volunteer list of 2009 batch
I was driving my bike in ECO mode from the beginning april 2009,but changed to power mode one time ,for few minutes to check the difference ..did'nt find much ...
Now i changed to power mode and drive as usual normal ride..the difference i find was my fuel bar is reducing fast
From the previous threads we are discussing The mode is for indication or choosing our driving style
If the answer is correct means i will stop it here......
If there is change ...i mean if its related to fuel map some thing so on....
How can u able to identify this mode changer is working or Mal functioning There is an electronic component attached to our carburetter ..I know this related to mode changer ...if that component fails how to identify that?? is that our indication won't work(white LED in console)
My thinking is SUZUKI can provide ride control switch(which is provided in CT100 ,Bajaj platina like that) instead of such Mode changing ...But accept the fact its new generation kind of stuff

                        Hey abdul,
As per my information, these 2 modes have nothing to do with mileage or power directly. In eco mode the blinking light keeps your speed within 60 kmph so that you get more mileage thats all. Its nothing like electronic control over fuel release(such advanced option is available in our dream machine Hayabusa)

                        • Hey guys, my third service is coming in a weak. I had done my second service at Apple auto (near devegowda petrolpump, banashankari). They had done a pretty good job.But some issues weren't solved.

                          1) Can anyone recommend me any good SVC in bangalore which actually listens to the issues?

                          2) I feel vibrations at 4kRPM and above. Also the sound isn't very pleasant. All say its butter smooth engine but i feel it only when i ride at low RPM's at higher gear. Is this normal? The bike has ridden 1200KMS since the last engine oil change.

                          3) My left indicator is not working. As the bike comes with 2 years warantee, can i get free replacement for the indicator?

                          4) When i ride on bumpy roads, i get some sound from back probably of the chain hitting the chain cover.Should i ask them to tighten the chain?

                          5) The bike is giving very low milaege in the range of 30kmpl. I drive on city but still the milaege is very less compared to what was promised. How to rectify this?

                          • i think your carb is on to richer mix, when you go for third service ask the SC guys to adjust it in to leaner side. The chain could be the culprit for the noise you are getting. I too get vibes between 40-50 km speed. when the engine gets hot, the vibes gradually diminish. Hope you will love yor machine when its back from service
