  • shifting to GSR150r from pulsar

going to buy candy orange GSR150 in few days, after trading my 6 year old pulsar150dtsi ,I have confusion to buy between unicorn and gsr150.I test ride GSR and satisfied with my requirements. But few questions araises
1.)Hook cum handle that can be fitted in pulsar on shock absorber net, is not possible in GSR i carry bags on that handle,
2.)Tank bags not available readymade we have to give order for that.
3.)difficult for babys to sit in the tank and catch the handle,as pulsar tank is flat above and baby can sit easily
But all these simple problem is compromised for its smooth engine , ride and gear shift.
I hope i get better mileage than pulsar(54kmplcity and 68kmpl in highway) for my driving style.
Like bajaj group is suzuki soon upgrade this bike soon with variants(180cc 200cc 220cc etc) or do more cosmetic changes......

sorry don't get me wrong.. but that is one very dangerous thing to do. of-course everyone has their own requirements but still. ride very safe and be careful.

Now I understand why designing an Indian bike from scratch takes time. The designer has to take into consideration the wives sitting one sided, gfs sitting way ahead on pillion seat, and babies on tank!

Please don't take it personally, but never thought of this approch to bike selection

Suzuki <> Bajaj / TVS. The target market for suzuki is not 18-25, but rather 25 and above. Besides, seeing the bike is fitted with quite a lot of gizmos, I don't expect any new major haul in near future (maybe a new model, but certainly not V2).

        • I got my gs150r on 19th black one.... Cost me about 61300/-(on road).my first pref was gray but there was only one peice avaible a little bit scrtch on differenr place, so i choose black. a buttor smooth bike, i found bike is very impressive from back like a racing bike.

and yes i m also feeling some resonating vibation on 3500 mark.

waiting for first 1600KMs then i can turely enjoy this bike.

I m going to fit low frequency duel horn (mico-bosch make) in place of factory fitted horn

          what u say friends.

for the ground clearance part it's like a sitting on a camel. and more space more 2 more persons.
don't dare to challenge the age.
and also for my research i had ridden it for 50kms.it really sucks
even super splendor is better than this bike

Sitting on a camel?? What's your height?

Sitting on GS gives the best big bike feel, with everything - the handle and all the switches - exactly where one would want them too. The tall sitting position is great.

Anyways, the choices differ, and the words of choice differ too (and vastly at that!). But don't unnecessarily try to flame other bikes just because you don't like. Time to act your age (if truely reported, that is)!

@Sam9: Guess your FZ to Vespa anecdote was too much for this Einstein!

@shyam2666:I actually liked the horn of GS, test it first whether your find it adequate/at your liking.

There is nothing called 'best' color as such! It is totally a personal choice&here, one man's meat is another man's poison. For example, I like seeing yellow colored bikes, but not owning one!
Coming to the GS, my personal favorite is the Grey.

Now when u talking about ground clearance u should also mention ur height also, may be a ducky will suit best instead of camel.

I also took test ride of fz and its really suckks, even a splendor+ is better then that, furthermore FZ is not selling well that's why company is going regular uplifting of that FZ.........FZS........????

Congratts again another GS owner and the roll count after bubbly goes to.....shyam the 9th owner on xbhp.......as always some pics would be appriciarted.....and you dont have to wait for 1600km for truly enjoy, 800km then do your first service and you are good to touch 7000 rpm that is 80-85 I guess and you will enjoy this bike on that speed it cruzes at that speed man.....amazing smoothness....... after 1500km you can touch 100 with ease, absolute ease.....

and about horn, the bike already has duel horn (pretty loude too) and its very much in league of any car horn, may be not the power but sounds very much like it.......

*and whats a low frequency horn.......anybody???
