Detach the windscreen and replace the 4 rubber moulded, bush type nuts if they are twisted or worn out and refit the wind screen. If you are lucky enough, the issue may be solved in a single attempt. Otherwise you will have to re-adjust the screws repeatedly. A really difficult job.
Try pasting a piece of thick adhesive tape on the fairing and refit the wind screen. This also may solve the problem.
Due regards.
My bike is also having the irritating vibration at 4K RPM.
While dismounting the fairing for replacing the head lamp bulb last month, I noticed that there was a crack surrounding one of the four screwing points where the rubber bush was inserted.
May be it was due to the excess vibration associated with my constant ripping

It happens mostly in higher gears in my bike. Usually associated with gear shifting in a light manner, when we get too comfortable with the slick gear box

Maybe you are underestimating how smooth and refined the GS mill is,and no digital speedo is not the only difference,GSR has six gears,my Fiero has four,GSR has TPS,Fiero lacked it...............Fiero had a character of its own,GSR is on its own, there is no comparing these vehicles.Originally posted by bprags View PostSophistication :- At the time Fiero was launched it was the first bike in India with Digital CDI (I hope I got it right) and CV Carb. Come on man the bike was launched 11 years ago, what the GS has extra is the digital speedo, thats it.
God knows which Fiero you rode,
Fiero back then was the best 150cc,in a market dominated by CBZ,Pulsar150 and the 2T RX135.
and now GS150R has the crown of the best 150cc in a market of RTR,Hunk,FZ,PulsarDTSi and Unicorn.
About the type of Fiero I ride, would you like some pictures ????
@gixxer_junkie_m and psr :hmm good idea of pumping up the Fiero muscle !!! I think I would go for it soon.

i saw it on discovery turbo and science.....it seems like the new gsxr of 600 and 750 cc along with an unknown vehicle.....the promotion is the same as the mahindra teaser video....Originally posted by speed deamon View Postguys did nybody watched the new suzuki commercial can somebody give me link in youtube
it was not due to the constant vibraton but due to the extra pressure on the screws while tightening them!!!Originally posted by kjsooraj View PostMy bike is also having the irritating vibration at 4K RPM.

Thanks for your suggestion bro. I opened the windscreen and found that the rubber bushes are well intact. I think there is a small crack somewhere in the fairing, which is making this strange noise. The noise started to come after i happen to ran into a gutter in National Highway. But the noise can be heard from 3.5K-4K rpm, above and below the sound just disappears.Originally posted by vishnukmd View PostAnupdas,

I have been thinking of giving bike to service for last two weeks, but didn't get time. I will ask the person to check for cracks or like worn out rubber molded bush type nuts.
Also Guys, whats the opinion of making our GS exhaust note thumpy by modifying the silencer. I always felt that exhaust note is feeble for its power. And also there is noise from the primary sprocket and camshaft. If exhaust is made a little throaty we can ride our beast like a Royal Enfield just enjoying the thump.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

It was the first time after I bought my bike that I had removed the visor. I am pretty sure it was due to excess vibration..Originally posted by Maestro View Post

Bingo, I too have that same crack. Is that on the top left one?Originally posted by kjsooraj View PostI noticed that there was a crack surrounding one of the four screwing points where the rubber bush was inserted.

Do you get that even now? After 4th service i never experienced it, rather after using Motul 3000T. It used to occur on shifting to top gear.Originally posted by kjsooraj View PostIt happens mostly in higher gears in my bike. Thanks Abdul bhai, I will check it. So after replacing it with Bajaj's the noise is gone for yours?Originally posted by akfara View Post@Anup replace the screw and rubber bush with Pulsar Visor OEM and tell ur experience ...and its cheap tooLast edited by Anupdas; 11-23-2010, 11:43 PM.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

Yes Thats what my Mechanic told he suggest pulsar visor screws with rubber bush..it works well with our GSR,no more vibration after pulsar screws with rubber bush...But whenever u open ur headlamp fairing he told replace again with this pulsar screws ..But the reason is no stock of OEM suzuki screwOriginally posted by Maestro View Postit was not due to the constant vibraton but due to the extra pressure on the screws while tightening them!!!
in my town showroom...And this pulsar stuff(rubber bush) is very strong compare to GS 150..sad part is we can't buy that rubber bush alone ..And fair part is its cheap

i replaced them with the pulsar oness and they are quite good.....but dont know which pulsars were they from.....as if you pull them they easily come out(i only have one of them).....
and refrain from using sms lingo.....mods are very strict regarding this!!!
then maybe the sc people overscrewed it.....Originally posted by kjsooraj View PostIt was the first time after I bought my bike that I had removed the visor. I am pretty sure it was due to excess vibration..

The crack was on top right position. But the position does not matter. I also asked whether that part can be replaced, but the SC guy told that the whole fairing comes as a single unit. So dropped the idesOriginally posted by Anupdas View PostBingo, I too have that same crack. Is that on the top left one?

Thanks Abdul bhai, I will check it. So after replacing it with Bajaj's the noise is gone for yours?

Regarding the gear shift, I have not experienced that gear grinding sound lately, but often experience the false neutral condition (With blank gear indicator). May be it will change after using Castrol Power 1Suzuki GS150R (2009)

Visor sound
Yeah me too part of the infected gang
did changed the bulb at SVC then it started went to SVC again they tighten it, felt happy but it didn't last longer

from this morning its irritating me again
started making noise from 3.5 to 4 RPM (yeah its from the visor only if i touch it stops)
about a month back my local mechanic replaced the ultrablue head lamp that time this didnt happen.
all our great SVC guys screwed up the screw too much
lets try our almighty akfara's method
@ Anup Baba last two days you confused us stating flaring noise, and i was wondered now only learnt you are also infected by the GS visor rattel snake symptomLast edited by MSN1; 11-24-2010, 12:24 AM.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity
