Yes, the rpm meter is needed. It was there in my Caliber115 as well, and found it very helpful. Once you get into technical riding, and not just riding for the sake of it, you will appreciate the tachometer. See how the machine responds when you change gears at 3.5-4.5-5.5-6-7k rpm. See how it jumps once you start changing gears at higher rpms, and how the downshifts at 2.5krpm are much smoother than that at 3.5k! In fact, in the city I mostly ride by the tachometer, and only in highways do I cruise by the speedometer.Originally posted by mayur2j View Post

I think no one has tried Power 1, do give us feedback about it.
Yes; but tightening one, then loosening the other one, then tightening or loosening the third, until you get the ultimate result. That is why I said it is a difficult job. Needs much patience and time. The sc mechanics also are helpless.
Stick 3 pieces of thick tape between the nut holes along the panel and refit the wind screen. This will do.
Feels nostalgic. Better is to remain a child.
I have used power 1 for 1 lack kms in my Fiero. My daily journey was arount 100 kms. Now using it in both of my bikes. I used to change it in every 3000 kms, together with the filter. The Fiero has covered 1.2 lacks. The engine remains intact. I have not even opened it. Not even a screw of its engine is replaced. Remains virgin. Fiero is a legend though it was a failure in the market. A test ride with a pillion, with 100 ml of fuel gave me a result of a 7.9 kms, i.e 79 kml with pillion, in a speed range of 50-55 kmh. I still use it occasionally.
One more word. Do a mere change in the colour of the oil denote that it became useless? As of the viscosity, how can we check it? What instruments have us to check the viscosity of the oil. We have so many concepts about so many matters, which we are not ready to change. Some say a disk brake in the left side is good; some say it in the right side is good. Someone waits to reach 60 kmh range to shift to 6th gear; someone else do it at 40 kmh. I always do it at 30 kmh orif not possible, limit my speed below 4500 rpm. We cannot convince others.
All engine oil of the same viscosity is almost the same. The additives added may slightly differ but all of them will do the main functions such as lubricating, preventing corrosion, preventing overheating etc. in that sense, the cheapest is the best.
As Fiero, GS also is a failure in the market. I do seldom see them on the road. I think Suzuki is not interested in selling their products.
If you have fully read this posting I will gladly recommend your name for the next Nobel prise.
Regards.

+1 to pulsar visor screws, costs some 18 bucks for a set of 4. I have the same ones, and never faced any noise from visor.Originally posted by akfara View PostYa vishnu ur right...My suggestion is according to my mechanic(sub dealer) ,whenever i ask to replace Bulb(for testing purpose) or Pilot Lamp to LED ,he told me to bring Pulsar visor screws(he wanted bcos there is no stock of OEM
)...I did as he told and there is no vibration from visor since this pulsar screws are better than our OEM
..Its come with rubber washer as our OEM
@anup replace the screw and rubber bush with Pulsar Visor OEM and tell ur experience ...and its cheap too

kindly do the needful.....but i agree with you....had suzuki marketed GS well,it would be having more share of the market though.....hopefully suzuki will learn from this and will market the forthcoming bikes the 150cc sporty slingshot and skydrive well....Originally posted by vishnukmd View PostYes; but tightening one, then loosening the other one, then tightening or loosening the third, until you get the ultimate result. Thats was a superb ideaOriginally posted by MSN1 View PostToday I checked my gs visor nuts knock it with my fingers found different hollow sound from coming near from one of the visor screw, just tighten it

, i followed the same method and found that the sound is coming from two bottom windscreen screws. I removed the windscreen and checked the same by knocking at various places. The upper two were having a deep sound where as the bottom two were producing a hollow sound. So the source of sound is not the windscreen but the visor assembly. Refitted the windscreen and adjusted the screws one by one. Still the sound is there
, but the intensity has decreased.
I think the sound is not just due to the loosening of the screw but the mounting of visor. Otherwise it wont be there for almost everyone. If we insert some kind of rubber padding near the bottom portion the noise can be minimized
.
