  • Your bike will stop in the middle of the road, after spluttering for some time! That's the time you should shift the fuel know from ON to RESERVE. If it is already on reserve and it is finished, start praying!

      +1 reserve capacity is approx. 3.5 litters.

      If it blinks then you have approx 1.5 litter petrol in tank.

      • hey guys, had a race with pulsar 200 today for around 6kms of straight road...couldnt catch that beast on full throttle...can we increase our top end speed?? my top end speed is just 110 max..need help.. feeling really frustrated.. and does our odo show false speed? because when that pulsar guy overtook me i was at around 100+ but i had a glance at his odo, it was just at 90's...i always thought puslar's odo showed false readings and always shows more that what it is..but today m really shocked to see everything going upside down...confused..a big time..??????????????????????????????? can someone pls clarify about everything...

          Thanks for your reply . Do you have any ideas on how much the MOTUL 300V 5W40 would cost?

          Also, is it mandatory to change the Oil Filter as well while changing to this Oil?

            +1 buddy...my top speed is also 110 kmph ...tried in god mode and shifted gears above 8500 rpm..my bike refuses to go above 110 even without pillion & crosswinds.. i don't have any idea about false speed...

              When R15 overtook me at a certain friendly race,my GSR's speedo was showing 116kmph,but later the R15 owner told that he had overtaken me at 119kmph.

              GSR does a true top end of 117kmph while the speedo shows 125kmph.My bike has so far reached 129kmph on the speedo on road.Pulsar200 is not a bike that can beat the GSR,but the top speed of GSR should be achieved around in 4th and in 5th gear............also the bike needs to be ridden in GOD mode to achieve the top speed advantage plus 4th-5th transition needs to occur at redline.Both PWR and ECO modes restricts the Top speed.Infact GSR's performance is at par with the RTR160Fi in top end,acceleration and in everything,minus the roughness.Uber smooth GSR can be pushed around for hours.It feels relaxed like a Karizma and its stability is like a Bullet350.

              • Effect of haonix ultrablue 12v 35/35 bulb

                This evening @ 6 pm it was darker than usual evening so turned on the head lamp 3 or 4 vehicles commingfrom opposite direction turned on their head lamp after seeing my bike.

                I thought its a co instance but after seeing 5 more people did the same I realized the bulb effect.

                At 8:30 pm it was raining, started my bike the visibility is better than the default bulb and able to see even the bad muddy patches, its more clear than default lamp.

                Reached old madras road the highway is clear now reached 40 kmph and turned the bright (long) on bikes from the opposite side blinks (pass switch) at me and for the first time I found my gs head lamp is brighter than those other bikes.

                The dim mode is focussed and looks far better than our default bulb same thing applicabe to bright (long) settings too.

                Happy with this but I never used nightbreaker or silverstar so can't say is this equivalent to that or not.

                Be careful while removing and fixing the visor as the rubber bush may go wrong even if we are bit careless while tighting fixing it back..

                My local mechanic advised me on not to go for this as its banned by police is that true (bangalore gspians ) please tell me yaar?

                High speed depends on many factors and it won't come just like that

                I reached 125 kmphand 121 kmph after the odo crosses 2500 kms.
                After crossing 95 on 4th gear I switched to 5th and stayed on 5th gear til 110 then it took littebit time to reach 115 then I switched to 6th cog because 6th gear acceleration and pickup is not like the other 5 gears.
                Moreover I weared the apt cothings and lean forward to make it done.

                Keep trying its verymuch possible.

                Your lifes aim is not reaching top speed on GS so always be safe wear proper gears and make sure to try on proper place.

                  After a long time we started asking questions about modifying our bike. i guess sarru will post the pics with zma dome etc.soon me also waiting to see it

                  but even i may do the following job. but not sure when. here is the pic i found long time in this thread. comments ?

                    thanks for your input.. actually i was riding my bike in the 5th gear when i acheived my top speed ..sixth gear wont increase the speed in my case..either it'll remain constant or drop the speed...even i never thought a pulsar 200 would actually beat me that's why i'm really frustrated to see this..but as a matter of fact, i was riding the bike in power mode..will try it in god mode today and inform u guys later..anyways thanks for the comment. cheers.

                    • Why are people dying to run a bike to the top speed?
                      I have a gs150r, i ususally drive it fast mostly above 4.5 rpm, is top speed that important. I am happy & contended to just cruize at 80-90km. If you can't or are not confident driving 100+ speed, no one's forcing you to test your machines. Chill guys, our bike not reaching the 120 mark doesnt mean the end of the world. Enjoy your GSR.

                      MSN1: If you get a chance to use the OSRAM silverstar also, tell us the difference.

                        If its possible, it'll be a pretty expensive mod..
                        And did you look at the photo carefully. the silencer is on the wrong side of the bike !
                        And it looks like both ends of the silencer are open too. haha..

                        Forgot one major thing, this design wont work out for our air cooled engines, r15 is liquid cooled, so its ok with the full cover.

                          ya right. it may not be suitable for our air cooled. Hey its actually PS'ed design by someone.

                          then we will left with ZMA / P220 / FAZER 150. Now thinking which will be good for our bike ? but i dont want to add more weight to the front.

                            Try to power shift the gears...above 8.5k RPM...just have a look on my video..my odo has no false readings..i have verified it 2-3 times...with RTR160,R15,ZMR....
