Zapper Q is best......put 110 section instead of 100 in rear....awesome dry and wet grip......

Is there any issue with Zapper Y ? ...seems like hard breaking on corners and sudden changing directions an issue.....is it the same with everyone?

It's ideal for good tarmac roads.. In tarmac i didnt faced any such issues..
But it's little slippery in gravel and dusty roads,..
I'm adjusting the speed with respect to grip.. Thats y no complaints till date..

I too had planned to change it earlier(in two weeks of purchase) when hearing many incidents with stock tyres.. But then I decided to go with stock tyre, will not change it until I feel discomfort with it..

FYI, checkout CEAT VERTIGO 100/90 or 110/90.. They are good too ..

Im no expert but I'll still say my piece. The stock tires arent the best but are not as bad as you say either. I ride over a fairly long patch of gravel and stone strewn untarred\under construction road on my daily commute. I have no problems as long as I dont go too fast.

Any chance you use front brakes while riding on gravel?

Even on wet roads, they arent bad. I've ridden at a consistent 60-70 kmph on a highway under moderate rains and Ive never faced much difficulty.

                But, to each his own.

Even I was on the look out for dual purpose tires. I found good reviews about michelin sirac street. Its available in GS's stock tire sizes. MRF has some good ones also as the others pointed out. Ceat probably does too but their website is not user friendly.

Let us know what you fit on your bike.

Ive found no issues. I put it though some harsh riding on my daily route.

How long have you owned a gs?

No change of rim required. The tyres are a direct fit.

The manual recommends cpr6hsa if you run it in wet conditions....say kerala monsoon. Maybe snowy regions too.

Ever taken a fall? That can do some monkey tricks to the handling of a well working bike.
