          • Running-in

Got bike on Feb 2.. Rode about 80 km daily commute yesterday.. As per advice seen in this community, riding below 4K rpm and below 50 kmph speed for the first 1000 kms.. hope this is correct.. are there more precautions during running-in?

Noticed petrol dripping when bike is parked for the night.. does it have to do with the position of the on-off-res knob?

            Right indicator does not work..

Odo seems to show more km covered than actual..

            Thanks and regards..

Firstly, Congratulations on your new possession. I got my new bike just a day before you.

The technique you are following is right. Just remember to ride in the correct gear and accelerate slowly. If you ride continuously, then take breaks in between.

Check whether the petrol pipe is in place correctly or get it checked by a local mechanic if the SVC is not nearby. Also, remember to turn off the fuel knob at night.

It seems that the mechanics have not checked the connections before delivering the bike to you. Get it checked again.

The Odometer is fairly accurate. Are you sure that the odo was on zero when the bike was delivered to you?

From my perspective, it looks like the mechanics were in a hurry when they prepared your bike for delivery.

              • mono shock for GS 150R

I hope GS 150R had mono shocks at the rear. am very confused between unicorn and GS 150R. what matters for me is more stylish looking bike, any suggestions? are they going to launch any new version of GS 150R, any upgrades? Suzuki website does not have any such info..

Go as per manual which says under 5000 rpm for initial 800 kms, also go through pg 4-2 & 4-3 which talks about break in period

We'll(at least I did) crossed our fingers during 2012 Auto-Expo. High expectations turned out to leave only bad taste.

Hey, I don't see Swish and Hayate on:
Latest New Models Launch Suzuki Motorcycle Suzuki Scooter Manufacturers India

I clearly remember seeing Swish specifications on that site!!

I don't think there will be any changes in current GS150R for another year unless someone finds technical/build problems. All GS owners believe(at least I do) it's the best so far...

Stylish/Sporty you've other bike makers to look for...

Commuting and touring on highways(at least tarred ones) around 70K then GS is the best contender...

                                Why do you need monoshocks?

I own a GS150R and if you ask my opinion, I am going to be biased towards the bike I own.

There are no updates expected for this bike in the near future.
