Completed 239 kms in 3 days, office ride bothways is 54 km. Its just pleasure to ride, as suspensions are top class. Previously I have driven the same route on my discover 135 and can say that riding comfort and shocks are superb.
Wanted an advise, in the manual it is written that bike should be within 5000 rpm for first 1000 kms. As I mentioned earlier my driving is 70 % highways, i am driving just below 5000 rpm maintaining speed between 55 to 60 and very ocassionally take it to 70kmph.

I wanted to know will it be ok to maintain the above speed?? If occasionally i take it to 6000 rpm will it be fine or should i refrain from doing so

Yes Punarvasu it's duplicate ,the package itself tells.. The funny thing is that the shop keeper asked me whether I need a original one or duplicate one...
No problem about the copper wire dude, just for the safer side I bought it extra...And will keep it and use it for the future household wiring purposes...

It is advised to keep below 5K rpm in the initial 800 kms. I think it is better to keep the bike within that speed limit, riding in every gear and avoiding constant speed.

The RR is not a frequently replaced part and may be a bit difficult to get.

Yes really it's very difficult ...I've to tell a hell lot of lies to get the RR.
They're enquiring like what happened to the vehicle, is it starting or not?
There a mech said, ask you're mechanic to talk to me I'll confirm it whether it's RR fault or not..
Blah blah blah it was going like this for 30mins when I was there...
Finally got the sales person contact no. and svc manager no. , they asked me to call back 2mrw to get confirm about the availability...

          • Hi All,

I would like to share some of my experience got in my office.

my colleagues asked me which bike are u going to buy. I proudly said Suzuki GS150r. The very first reaction reaction from them is don't buy that bike. I asked them the reason. The Funny reason they gave me is, Since no one buying this bike so u too don't buy it. I laughed in me and said "I wanted to be unique so that going with that bike." Somebody told performance is not good, design is not good blah blah blah...

I got angry and asked them only one question, "Have u ever ride this bike once?" The answer is "NO"

Then I decided to stop the discussion with them regarding bike. Without knowing anything they are simple telling don't go for this. Someone suggested me to go for CBZ since it is better than GS (his opinion), the thing is he don't even see this bike.. thought of sharing this with u guys!! I hop u won't mind.. Going to take my babe with in 10 days with more pride than previous!!
All for the best!! Just Go Ahead!!

            • ^^^ well, you'll know soon enough if its upto the mark. It has its shortcomings but in my 8500 kms, I feel good about the bike no doubt. Damn solid good.

Some companies are not selling spare parts to costumers to discourage repairing by local mechanics. But most of the Piaggio dealers know that their RR is widely used for converting bikes to full DC.
So tell them the truth tomorrow. That is the easiest way.

Take it easy. It is because GS is not very popular.

Bro our country is filled with idiots, you know that famous saying you get useless advices for free . I too have a freind who says i shouldn't have gone for this bike, and the funny part is he doesnt know how to ride a bike. Stupids always follow stupids so there isnt any sense arguing with those stupids, and you did the right thng.

                  • Hi All Guy,

I would be having my 1st long trip Mumbai - Pune...

                    Any advice?

I would be filling tank, checking tyre pressure and engine oil.

Any other things need to be checked?

                    THanks in advance.

Most people won't do this, but do hold one more key for safety. God forbid me, but bad luck strikes anytime and any strange things may happen which we cant even imagine of. Incase the current key breaks, you cant do anything at that stage rather than transporting your bike as it is. I am saying this because, my key broke few days back , fortunately i was right in front of my house

Is it just a days ride or you going for some work......also be wary of the roads....even though ots expressway, you can still be thrown of your bike on the biiiiig corners......do wear riding gears......and don't forget to take the lonavala exit........

                              • I read one article in bike advice regarding engine oil.. That article is really good as it is very easy to understand... Here is the link http://**********.in/20w50-engine-oi...-simple-terms/
