    • Wheel Rotation

How we can check/ensure that the free rotation of wheels are smooth enough...any parameters? I feel mine is bit tight (1000 KM)

        • @gmagesh14- I have a question for you since you opened up the HL assembly recently. Where are the different screws/nuts holding the assembly located?

Recently, the assembly has become a little loose fitting and I can see it wobbling when I ride on rough terrain. I would like to tighten it myself.

Glad to hear you and your pillion escaped with minor injuries..
Leave the damage of your bike ,it's not more precious than your life..

Take care buddy., Get well soon..
Thank you for all ur wishes.

I really learned many things from yesterrdays incident

            1) need to use engine braking with the use of brakes at such situations
            2) not to turn the handle while moving on the layer of sand
            3) To switch off the engine after the fall: in my case my wheels were rotating and i notices after few min . my case my pillion warned me to switch off the engine or else i or other passer by would have lifted the bike with engines on and would have had another fall.
            4) The effectiveness of the crash guard which really saved both our legs.

(the plastering is not yet removed), laptop monitor, mobile phone display, sunglass, headlight assembly of the bike, its handle bar, right side indicator etc.
Happy to know that both of you escaped without serious injuries.
Headlight cowl costs Rs. 900/- and the crash guard Rs. 360/-. Try to claim insurance.
actually i had planned to go SVC that evening to show the crack near visor fixing area.
but to my bad luck i have scratches on one side of front cowl. Now i guess SVC wont change under warranty.
I washed my bike this morning, there was a sigh of relief as most of the marks in that area was from the paint on the road. almost 50% disappeared after washing and applying wax polish on the that area.
I would definitely replace the crash guard

Sad that you took a fall due to another's fault. Good that you're unhurt.

If I may add one more point, dont use the front brake too hard while on sand or loose surfaces. Use the rear for most of your braking when off road.

I would definitely replace the crash guard

I was under the impression that the present crash guard doesnt offer enough coverage at the lower portion of the bike. When I had a similar fall, the gear lever got bent. Im using the same crash guard since my fall though, as I havent found a proper replacement.

Put the bike on centre stand, rotate the wheel and see how it rotates. Normally the rear wheel is not rotating freely as the front. Check whether the rear brake adjusting is over tightened.

It is Rs. 71,400/- here. It may be different at Delhi. Somebody from Delhi please help.

This vibration is normal and common in every bike including mine and is to suppress vibration. Leave it in that condition.

Rubbing with Formula 1 SCRATCH OUT will be helpful in removing scratches if not deep. Parts becoming defective due to accident are not replaced under warranty.

i went there last week the water level is low (7 or 8 feet lower than the normal season water level) but its still more depth and you can enjoy the trip

to travel there on good high way try this route from hosur take diversion to rayakottai and from there you can reach Hogenakkal.

if your keen on trying to test your gs on a two way short cut road, but also good road that contains more hill journey then try this route

before attibally toll gate take the road that goes in opposition direction of attibally - sarjapur road and thru denkanikottai you can reach Hogenakkal. (for four wheelers this is the cost effective route as there are not much tolls except the forest entry fee)
i used this route for return trip.

the temperature is hot there so carry ample amount of water

the boating charge is 120 per head + 5 for the safety jacket as rent.

But the fact is at hogenikal the present water level is enough danger for a person if drowned, so play safe and do spent 5 rupees to get the safety jackets.

Vikhyath, sorry for the late reply..

Console is connected with help of only two nuts on either side(left & right), this is the reason it shakes a little at high speeds on a patchy roads..
Since it was connected with rubber washers in b/w it'll will not produce any vibrations and as suggested by Punarvasu you can leave it as it is..
