Ya buddy, the bunks may be genuine only.. even in my case i went to the most reputed BPCL bunk in b'lore..Originally posted by adi231189 View Post@thefalcon from where i fill the Bunk is very genuine. And No Shell in Delhi.
So i'm not saying the petrol is adulterated or they are filling less.
Its just that the quality of shell petrol is better from the refineries itself..
But since shell isn't available in Delhi i guess the most you could do is tune the carb to best possible mixture and ride carefully.
(and check tire pressure too, that can cause mileage drop too)

Injecting air in exhaust pipe, by means of small pumpOriginally posted by MSN1 View PostCan someone tell me what is Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR)
Don t worry its not their in GS it seems this is in slingshot and suzuki claimed it give more mileage and less pollution
would like to know what exactly it is
There is an extra pump for air to fed it to exhaust manifold in pulsating manner, such that the unburnt hydrocarbons coming out from engine gets oxidised to carbondioxide.
This will reduce the emission for sure. But I dont know how it will increase the mileage.

61 kmpl local @ bangalore
Thank you shiva,Originally posted by ssivakumar.r View PostInjecting air in exhaust pipe, by means of small pump

As said earlier my carb golden screw is at 3.25 and idle rpm is 1000 rpm on cold start and between 1400 to 1200 rpm on warm the mileage was as mentioned below
2 ltr and 40 ml petrol (shell normal)
R to R calculation
Total kms done is 123.6
123.6/ 2.04 = 60.58
------------------------------------
Below mentioned distance are approx
Max speed reached 97 kmph
30 kms travelling at 65 kmph
40 kms in bangalore outer ring road
20 kms in jp nagar and jayanagar
Rest 70 kms on kr puram
streets and roads
Almost 30 kms traveled at
50 kms with pillon
-------------------------------------
Close to 61 kmpl local is wow great Going GS
Even checked the spark plug its in white n light biscuit color with some dark brown deposits on the ring and the tip, seems to be those are old long term deposits as their was no greasy or wet oily stuff.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

i too faced the same problem .. .actually its due to carbon deposition on the metal contacts inside the switch ,,its waz rectified by service centre ,actually they put some carbon cleaning conductive gel ..after since the self switch is a flick to push ... there is no problem in self .Originally posted by rajesh1136 View Postguys... i have a prob in my ES.

but due to rain and moisture the horn switch has now gone down it really needs a hard push ....it is due for the next servicing ..

Wow,I have observed something really cool,
Suzuki GS150R ownership thread is turning out to be one of the busiest thread in the motorcycle ownership experience forum.
It is only after the Pulsar 220 thread and Yamaha R15 thread at the top.
The FZ16 thread comes after the GS150R thread.
Which means that the GS150R thread is really discussing a lot of stuff, which shows that this exclusive bike is gaining importance and is slowly turning out to be a bike with distinct character as more and more owners are showering in their opinions and a lot of new owners are buying it...............
Way to go cool
Behold the spirit of GSpians
Though I still like it exclusive
and hence when it will become another Unicorn, may plan to sell it given Suzuki churns out a more performance focussed product in the 150cc-250cc segment.

thats a lot of running for a day.......(I am a student and travel by local trainOriginally posted by adi231189 View PostWell i ride around 50-60 Kmph in Greater noida expressway 90% clean road that is why i was talking about the mileage part if what i am currently getting would have been in city conditions i would not mind but riding in expressway and getting like 49KMPL is not such a sweet spot after all.
@ Maestro my running period is over for sure already crossed 5.5K mark in 2.5 months so i am doing like 70Km-100km /day
afterall its mumbai yaar...cant be compared )
i was just kidding!!!!Originally posted by akfara View PostYa i copied from ur post for the use of new user who struggle to go back old pages

sure man.......Originally posted by thefalcon View PostI ride 100% in city so dont get any place to cross 100.
I'll definitely try to go for a ride on a highway sometime soon and touch 100 to see how it feels...
No posts from u thats why!!!!!!by the way is your beast coming to inorbit??Originally posted by erbalaji View Posti am here only, just watching what is happening here and mumbai offline thread.....
try searching for it in car shops.......they are mentioned as signalling lamps....its wattage is 5w and its not a LED they are just the same bulbs which we currently have in our rides!!!!Originally posted by *MIHIR* View PostHeyy where can i get Phillips LEDs in pune??????

{ANYONE FROM PUNE PLEASE REPLAY..}
what is wattage of single unit?? as I am going for LEDs to free 10W

way to go!!!!!!!!!!woooooooooohoooooooOriginally posted by Arish View PostHey friends yesterday i had gone for an outing with my friends...there were total 5 bikes and 10 guys...Bikes: GS150R,CBZ-Extreme,Apache 160RTR,FZ-S and Pulsar 150 old round headlight one...
While returning from the place we decided to have a race on the Highway as there was very less traffic..I agree that RTR had the highest acceleration amongst all the bikes...but My GSR was'nt too far from it...
0-60 mark Apache managed it at first place,GSR was second, then CBZ,FZ and finally pulsar came.
0-100 mark again Apache topped,GSR was second, then FZ-s,CBZ and pulsar.
0-110 GSR was the first one while RTR was dieing to touch 110.
BTW....The race was with a pillion and its very hard to drive at high speeds with a pillion...
Still GSR top speed was 113 , Apache 111, the other bikes did'nt manage to go beyond 108...
Everyone got surprised with GSR's performance....Before the race all said that Apache will easily win but when they saw my GSR smoked that Vibrating Apache all got shocked.....and as GSR was completely vibration free at the top speed.
leds would cost you around 150/- but instead of led go for the signalling lamps i mentioned......even they are white and are direct fit + more shelf life than normal LEDS....Originally posted by animeher View PostEven I am planning to plonk LEDs in my GS. What's the average cost for LEDs?
There are rumours about a 250cc GSR coming next year........Originally posted by MACH50 View PostWow,I have observed something really cool,

Hey...can anyone tell me if i ride GSR with no modes...can the bike go beyond 118kmph..??? Because when i did the speed test, the bike was in the Power mode...and it reached 118.
One of the SC guy also told me that the speed of GSR locks sometimes in the power mode and cannot go beyond a certain limit...he said to try in the normal mode and maybe the top speed would be near about 125kmph.
IS IT TRUE GUYS ???Guys Follow me on Facebook

in power mode it went to 127kmph
in so called GOD mode it was 123kmph......
what sc guy is telling is not true......because he may not have ridden GS at such high speeds..........a lot depends on how and when you shift gears and also the road conditions and yes ofcourse the crosswinds.....
