Actually the above mentioned details were for cars, but it holds true for bikes as well. Air pressure reduces rapidly when there are variations in temperature. In my case air pressure reduces about 2-3 KPa within two weeks. You don't ride much regularly na, that may be the reason why tire pressure remains constant.

About the front brake i did third service 10 days back, and they bleeded the brake fluid and the problem seemed to be rectified. But it came back within a week. I too thought that the pad is not making proper contact, will consult the S.C as soon as possible. Thanks falcon...

        • Okk At last got my Blue Baby 2010 GS yesterday.1st observations by me and my family.

Drove like 24kms from the Showroom till my house the ride was okk though the seat cover gave me some problem but showroom guy told me it will like this need to sit around it for few days before it sets in.Now the Gears were hard, actually the 2010 black model which i test rode was uber smooth in gears with only 3kms done but this was not.

But i think after 1st service should be fine. The Head light illumination is good the CA series unit was good .I think it took me some time to adapt to low gear ratios.

This is what i was doing
          1st gear 0-10km
          2nd gear 10-17
          3rd gear 17-25
          4th gear 25-30
          5th gear 30-40
          6th gear 40 and above

I think i was doing some mistakes in 3rd and 4th gears. First impressions of family you look like a mice on a elephant and with a studds rhyno lid even more comments but they really liked the whole big bike thing after few comments that start eating more food it was relaxing time since it was already 9:30PM when i cam back home.

Cons: The dealer attitude not good.Since i wanted to go for the ECS but the bank guy assumed that i knew that i had to bring cheques which i didn't. When i called the dealer he told everything is ready when i went there he started fitting the accessories. With 3k in Taxes increasing from 1st really want to get all the things done by today.

p.s found the handlebar a little bit painful i think i need to get it down a bit or maybe because it is a new bike will take time. Amount of fuel i filled was 5litres and will be seeing how far it runs.

Congratulations buddy. No excuses, camera down or not. Get a camera from your friends and post some cool pics, haven't really seen this one.....

Adi the gear shifts you are doing is very short, shift gears when rpm reaches 4.5K mark. This will reduce the load on engine. In my opinion 15, 25,35,45,55 will be a better one. Vary the engine rpm freely, its not the speed but you need to keep an eye on engine rpm.

The above mentioned problems are just a matter of getting used to.......

              Ride safe.........

              • Guys today I got an opportunity to drive a black 2010 GS of my neighbor. Engine sound was different, much refined, crisp throttle response and clutch was very soft. RR unit was CA series, but when i looked at carburetor it said "Padmini" ,I expected it to be "Mikuni"( Is that any Indian version?). The electric start had a different casing, new sporty silencer cover( it seemed a little small ).

Now going for looks, no Suzuki sticker in the windshield, and no logo in handle bar. Only Suzuki sticker was near the tail end. Also the end handle bar weight seemed small . Also the saddle height is reduced by an inch or so, i can keep both legs grounded.

Now guys this one worried me the most, when I opened the tank, saw a tint of rust at the mouth of tank.

congrats. Finally you got your baby. Do post some pics as soon as possible. Try shifting gear at the right rpm ie. 4.5k. Everything would be fine after run-in is finished. As for the handlebar, I too found it to be too high. So I lowered it a bit and now its fine. When you are holding the handlebar, your elbow should be at an angle. So if you hit a bump, you will not feel the jerk on your elbow. Also if your hand is straight while riding for a long time, you will feel pain. Happy riding. Raj

MY SC from Pondy told me nitrogen filling is not good for bike it is for the car who drive very fast.... so ur tyre wont be hot in high speed driving and gives some extra life for tyre

That's a big fat lie. Tires of bikes and cars use almost same composition and how come it not good for bikes. Cars need it more than bikes since it heats up more and there will be a drastic decrease in mileage when run on low pressure.

12-20 atleast 2nd. (u can go upto 30 with the 4.5k rpm limit)

30 onwards just change based on the 4.5k mark.. i dont remember the speeds

Dont ride with low rpms either since its a new bike..

                              • Thanks @thefalcon I am riding in ranges of around 3.5k-4k RPM since still getting adjusted to it Manual says 5k RPM limit will sometimes be riding above it during break-in process.

The Gears were pretty hard had to work a bit and the Hand Grip installed buy dealer was not good it was paining a bit and i think the handle bar needs to be lowered a bit.

But I drove in 6th at 45 with no knocking was good was trying different gears at same speeds sometimes doing according to the manual by not staying at constant speeds.
