The pillion had much lesser injuries. guess he jumped off, only few scratches on his palm. luckily there was no one behind us at that time.

I'll have to be more careful when i start riding again.. no plans to ride anytime soon though. my parents probably wont let me for a month atleast.

I'm just hoping i dont get a bad permanent scar on my hand coz the wound is pretty big.

@performator: i'm using the SC mineral oil right now, planning to shift to petronas FS soon as blitz said its awesome. i've done 5k on the odo till now..

Btw, i'm considering riding gloves and some jacket from now on. any suggestions ? (not anything too expensive though, parents would say i rather stop riding and be safe )

28 Aug Day 1: reach Srinagar, collect the bikes and go for a shikara ride in Dal Lake.
29 Aug Day 2: Srinagar - Kargil
30 Aug Day 3: Kargil - Leh
31 Aug Day 4: rest in Leh and get the permits made (at the same time you can visit Thiksey, Leh Palace etc.)
1 Sep Day 5: Leh - Khardung La - Diskit/Hunder (Nubra Valley)
2 Sep Day 6: Nubra Valley sightseeing and by afternoon, start heading back to Leh
3 Sep Day 7: Leh - Chang La - Pangong Tso
4 Sep sun Day 8: Pangong Tso - Chang La - Leh
5 Sep Day 9: rest in Leh
6 Sep Day 10: Leh - Upshi - Chumathang - Tso Moriri (Korzok)
7 Sep Day 11: spend the day at Tso Moriri and if you want, move to Tso Kar in the afternoon
8 Sep Day 12: Tso Moriri - Tso Kar - Pang - Sarchu
9 Sep Day 13: Sarchu - Manali
10 Sep Day 14: Rest in Manali
11 Sep Day 15: Ride to Kalka
12 Sep Day 16: Get on the train with bike for Mumbai
OR :Ride to Delhi
13 Sep Day 17: Get on Delhi Pune Duronto train with bike

Accident ! ( GS150r owners are very prone to it.. dono why?..)

Hi all,
Recently i was going for my Ist service in malakpet, hyderabad from balapur.
On the way, i met with a freaking accident near balapur..
The road was completely traffic less except for a share auto when an old man in activa who was waiting for to cross the road(he was facing in d opp. direction of me) suddenly came in between while watching only one of the sides.. very less distance to react.. applied both the brakes(back break is useless), no use, went on to hit him at 90 degree.. smash
my bike hit his and skidded.. luckily was wearing a helmet. no body damage to me. bike took all the damage.. after recovering i went straight to him shouting like hell but he was begging sorry he did not see my side.. please please..(wat to do old man). i was very angry returned to my bike to analyse the damage. when i turned he vanished
The doom was completely damaged, right indicator gone, footrest gone, handle bar completely bent towards tank, heavy friction on the front disks....
Very bad.. gonna claim all the parts under insurance..will let you know after claiming it..

i'am planning ma trip with ma frnd who has pulsar 180 ...we will prefer riding (just want to experience every km. of ma trip biking and clicking) from delhi to leh via shimla ...and if nd only if budget allows us then return via kargil and drass..... or else follow the same up route
hope ma frnd gets his interns over soon, so dat we can make it out..

Any way I have Booked the GS2010 Model From bitoo Suzuki Today paid him 1k bike Delivery probably Thursday since i am stuck with some other work may be here and there.

The color is Blue & @anup i asked them about changing the Rear Panel from black to Blue to my surprise he was ready but i really didn't want to Start modding and touching the bike when it is so new.

Total Price Including Accessories(Saree Guard,Leg Guard,Grip,Helmet Lock) etc 63k i am getting my Eterno Exchanged at 9k-10k.

So Guys How is the Price ? I tried to bargain but Didn't work only 500Rs reduced.
Also While in the showroom i saw the Busa and 2 Intruders the Busa i think was damaged from Side. Bitoo suzuki is one big dealer. Any Way actually i went to see Dazzler as well was totally confused but didn't get the test ride so said goodbye to Dazzler since it was not suiting my height my knees were bending too much but the feel of the bike was very good anyone who is of medium height i will suggest it.
As For others some are getting after 20 days but i was getting the Dazzler same day.So had to choose in few min and also Honda guy were giving only 6k for my eterno so sat down thought for 1min then just went to Suzuki Showroom like 2 min from Honda.

Told Him "Tag it and Bag it " that is how my day went.

Its lucky you didn't get hurt buddy.
Bike can be fixed anyways and there's insurance too.

i think 63k is an awesome price. in b'lore its around 72k now.i got it for 66k though.

Thanx Falcon always had my eye on GS just because it was something first time actually which suited my style. i will surely say Dazzler was surely a part of decision but it was very short for someone of my height so had to Discard it out though My Dad's was not much happy me getting Anything else than Honda(Honda Loyalist ). Anyway hope i done the right thing and Bike Delivers as what is being said fingers crossed

As falcon said any damage to bike can be repaired, thank god you are safe. Ladies, Elders, taxis when ever you see them, always expect them to do something unexpected. Ride safe........

I told you na, they will agree and by the way which is more charming the full blue or blue dual tone? Delhi has its own way of pricing we can only envy.......
Don't be so tensed man, you have done the right decision. One advice from me is not to expect too much from the very beginning. Officially welcome to GS community........

Rear Shoks Adjustment

Most of the times i used to ride with in bangalore city

want to make the rear shock absorber settings to suit my area road condition
not comfortable with the factory setting (its on 3 from the time i got it)


used to ride with kid and wife

which settings makes my GS better it seems 1 is softer and 5 is harder

please suggest

some times front shocks makes loud noise while running over potholes do we have a fix for it

these are all only minor issues; my GS150R going great gives around 53 KMS mileage on city
