hi bro no precess,no modification just replace existing bulb, i don't know whats avail in ur city, even me purchased this 2 years back in chennai for my pulsar, while selling the pulsar removed the bulb and replaced in MY GS but not immidiate after 2 service i don't remember...its direct fit AC/DC type brand unknown(chinese) cost is 100 where i bought 2 years back, now one of the bulb gone , so i buy a pair here in local for Rs 140 but its have different look(see old thread i posted pic),but the mech told me a rubber pad in screws(visor) needed to replace the LED otherwise its not possible to fit the visor due to screw will not fit due to rubber washer..its pure luck how long it will last.switch on ur headlight while in idling itself, otherwise while riding fastly if u switch on due to high current there is possible ur LED will fuse. So my bike glow only one LED waiting for rubberlike washer to replace LEDOriginally posted by nageswer View PostHi Akfara,

lolz.......u got 112 in 5th ......i get around 107-108 in 5th and touched 118 for a few seconds in 6th........n i hope u get an empty road for reaching top speed.....but drive cautiously.......n evn aftr reaching 118 the bike was as stable as it was at 60.....Originally posted by Anupdas View PostA small update, after third service i thought this may be right time to test the top speed of GS. Rode for about 15 minutes keeping rpm below 4.5K on NH-47, then went for a bang top speed on 5th gear was 112 KMPH and 6th gear was 113 KMPH.
Even in afternoon road was full of trucks and containers so didn't get any space to keep full throttle for some time. I think it will do at least 115, even after crossing 100 it didn't shudder once. Great feeling of stability.........
hiya........evn m a headlight freak.....thankz for the address, but does this guy stock osram nightbreaker....55/60 too.......????Originally posted by animeher View PostFor all headlight freaks like me
Many people are asking me for many days where to get Osram Silverstar 55/60W bulb in Pune. This bulb, coupled with load shedding of pilot lamps and a BA series RR, gives a much better light than stock bulb. This is the address of Pune dealer.
Bahal Motors, Shop No. 5 Cynderella Apts, Sachapir Street, Pune 411001
Phone 26347797 / 26349050
He is mainly a wholesaler, so his attitude to retail customers, that too being a Pune shop, is *ahem* above expectations :P But he stocks the lights. So all the best!
rightly said....there are bulbs which are far better than stock halgens in the 35/35 watt category.....slightly better is philips and the best is osram......regarding 55w category...the heat generated is acceptable....and bulbs in that category with increased amount of brightness....1>phlipsOriginally posted by adi231189 View PostCan't 35W bulbs be found which are better than Stock bulbs than switching to 55W bulb but what about the heat produced from the 55W bulbs also?
2>philips motovision
3>osram
4>osram silverstar
5>osram night breaker.....(this is the bloody best.......)

Yeah I got 112 in 5th, on gear shift the speed reduced to some 105 and from there it took some time to climb on to 113. I crouched down and tried to lower as far as i could, the higher handlebar is not suitable at such speeds. Even after 8000 rpm there was no noticeable vibration in foot pegs or handle bar. I have decided not to test top speed again, the bike is stable and so urges to go even faster.Originally posted by Maestro View Postlolz.......u got 112 in 5th ......i get around 107-108 in 5th and touched 118 for a few seconds in 6th........n i hope u get an empty road for reaching top speed.....but drive cautiously.......n evn aftr reaching 118 the bike was as stable as it was at 60.....

LED's work on DC and by connecting a fuse we can avoid the danger when we accidentally switch on the headlight while running.Last edited by Anupdas; 05-22-2010, 07:25 PM.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

Osram silverstar is the cheapest and best option in 55/60W bulb. The philips and other bulbs with 55w white light cost some 700-800 bucks, whereas silverstar costs 200rs only. I'd rather use the saved money elsewhere
Tonight the Osram silverstar will be tested in ghaats! I will tell the results of load shedding + BA series rr + Osram silverstar on Monday, after taking it through two dark nights of ghaat riding.

I was thinking about it all along and found that the pilot lamps can be connected to the rear no. plate illumination light. They are direct on to the battery and comes ON only when the headlight switch is on. Change the pilot lamps and the rear no. plate to LED and the total usage will be max 3W. The stock rear no.plate bulb is 5W, so no load on the battery. All we need is a piece of wire and some some cutting and tapingOriginally posted by animeher View PostIdeally, the pilot lamps should be directly connected to battery and replaced by 1W LED, so that the looks remain intact, and you get full power for headlight. But I don't know how to connect only the pilot lamps to the battery!
I had answered this on page 494.Originally posted by adi231189 View Postp.s Please can anyone tell where can i know which RR unit is in the BikeWith great Power(and Torque) comes great responsibility.

Hey how many kms have you used the petronas oil till now ??
Whats your experience so far with it ?
My bike has run about 4500-5000kms till now and i'm really tempted to shift directly from my mineral oil to the petronas due to its price.

Also can you tell if you changed the oil filter as well while shifting to this oil.
And if you poured 1litre or bought 2 bottles for that extra .1l(with new filter)
And also what do you feel about the engine heat ? i remember reading in engine oils thread that bikes run hotter with this oil. is it true ?
