Even mine has got the same squeaking problem, was more worse after the service...
Last service at ABT chennai was pathetic, none of my issues were solved, only thing they did was teflon coating (of-course not free), Since my schedule was tight, i couldn't visit SC often like b4...
Maybe next Service i need to change my attitude towards these fellows...

My main concern was only mileage,

Now the bike's power is too less... (Actually it is different always, sometimes it is very sluggish, sometimes it is OK not gr8 though, the worst part is that even in that power, it delivers a sick mileage of less that 40kmpl)

Now the new issue is that bike is not stable (wobbly).
The SC guys made me believe that it was just a Physiological impact after my accident (Funny i accepted that) Once i asked one of the experienced SC Guy at ABT to rip my bike, on his return he commented that he was afraid to cross 70, since the bike was unstable at handeling..
At-last, the truth was revealed even the SC head was there

Even i run a service industry on my own (Computers n Hi-End Audio Stuffs), it is very important to understand the customer complaints, and then think from their point of view and not professional's view)
These people just take things lightly and consider is a silly thing
My next service date is on.. Will have to probably apply some pressure on them

    • Thanks Anup i will see if i can find one 400 bucks then gone to drain With Teflon any way i didn't trust these guys on teflon coating. Will Do it next time after 6 months probably the polymer coating.

now one thing i did was booked the bike on time since Taxes have increased from 2%to 6% here and i would have had to shell around 4k extra for the same GS.

Edit: Mathew one thing i noticed if the problem persists even after telling these guys many times just complain in the Suzuki Website It worked wonders for me Pre-Sales since i complained that the Dealer was quoting Higher than on-road price though with accessories but never specified it separately was telling as if he was giving it for free even though i was paying 1k more than on road price. I complained in the website and Next day got a call went same day this time dealer quoted the same price but told that accessory of 1k has been added.

If you are feeling a loss of power then they might have messed the carburetor tuning, bike may be running lean or rich. If you know any reliable local mechanic its better if you ask them to tune. My friend with P150 UG3 have got a boost of 5km when he tuned with a local mechanic. That ABT guys sure know how to fool customers.

I would say sooner the better, now the bike will be very clean and scratch free. Even with careful washing scratches do happen, especially the windscreen. It will get scratched if you just wipe with your fingers.

That was a nice decision, prices were hiked here as well. When i bought the bike show room price was 60500 and on road was 66500, now its 63500 and 69800 respectively. Dazzler is above 75K here

I have done this before itself.
Mr Vinod Natarajan also personally inspected my bike,
I took the bike to service camp twice in chennai... The second time they changed the carburetor too...
I appreciate all this efforts for sure, but unfortunately I am not benefited in the end
The SC people insisted to change my driving style..
I have tried both the extremes of driving (Low RPM as well as HI reeving)
Best achieved mileage is 44kmpl and worst is 32kmpl average 40 ~ 41kmpl...

Got a lot of other commitments than to go behind SC guys...
This time i'll ask to keep it observed of atleast 3 ~ 4 days...

              Wright said bro....
I wish they change the my bike to the new redefined one....
Maybe i can shell out some money if reasonable

                  Hi Nag,

I didnt used any Fully synthetic oil till date
                  Don't know how much kms your GS150R done;

MOTUL 300V FL is a fully synthetic oil
MOTUL 300V FL seems to be 15W 50 type (doesn't go with the GS150R recomended grade - refer manual)

cost would be between 800 to 900 rupees

                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                  @ Adi

In bangalore Teflon coating costs me 400 rupees and they promised 2 more teflon coating free with in 1 year

Got the bike back from sc after getting the repairs done due to the accident.
now the bike is not smooth at all.. the vibes hav increased, the front fairing and speedo rattles while going thru bad roads, the front brake lost its bite, mileage has fallen to 45 from 58(wil check again)...

The full front fairing, indicators, tank, mirrors, right side switch gears, crash guard, right rear panel were changed.
The fork was bent (it was straightened not replaced) and i think the disc has a slight bend as well.
The only good news is that power has increased (i dont know how).
I guess you wont get the fit and finish of a new bike from the factory if its tampered by human hands after all.

I have inquired about the screw loose sound to them. They said that the engine of gs is pure aluminium not alloy like other bikes and its sound changes as temprature increases and its only normal to hear the screw loose sound. So i asked him to show me that sound on another bike. He started a customers bike (engin was hot and it was the 2010 model. Owner told its 5 days old) and the same sound was there. I dont know if all gs has this or its a common problem.Maybe hes right about the all aluminium engine.
hey i also met with an accident yesterday. handle bar bent slightly, scratches on end of the handle bar, silencer shield, and on headlight (exactly on the right position bulb) did u claim insurance? and after that accident that loose screw sound becomes very horrible

if you have done at least 5k on odo..then its ok..
but heyy 15w50 is a gud grade for GS it ll go well rather for all 150cc bikes but up till breakin stick to XXw40 grade as its less viscous grade
let me tell u, if use XXw50 once u ll surely love it, but again dont use in break in period.
..but before 5k, dont go to fully synthetic u can try semisyn.
i have tried 20w50 in my dads scooter its a 150cc 4stroke, its a pure bliss

                        • Yup,i am aware of the grade recommended by Suzuki, 20w40.AND I AM ALMOST FIXED TO USE "gulf pride 4t plus 20w40" untill my 4k on odoBut was curious to know if anybody tried/tested on their Gs.

I was going through some of the threads....i came to know that some HH owners were using 10w40/motul 300v...even though the HH recommends...10w30...same is the case with the pulsers...may be the grades differs.so was eager to know if anyone of us has ever tried shifting to Motul 300V....different grade from recommended from manual..

And further more the 50 factor in "15w50" does a good job for south India......where the summers are too hot.....BUT DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA ITS FUNCTIONING IN WINTER.

Suggestions are welcome from all experienced riders....on usage of engine oils based on seasons/temperature....LIKE USING 20W50 IN SUMMERS........10W40 IN WINTERS... OR THE BEST OPTION IS SHIFT TO 15W50 TO RUN IN ALL SEASONS.....

                          Thanks,
                          Nag.

if u use 20w40 then at 15C it ll be more viscous means will go nearer to 50..
using 15w50 wont hurt by any means, impact will be on smoother side only..

i too met with minor accident...and i claimed insurance(iffco-tokio) for handle bar, headlight dome(outer structure)..protective shield surrounding the instrument panel, front gaurd..thats it and it costed me about rs 5000/- and i got only 3000 from insurance company....they told that they have reimbursed 4000,but due to deprciasion of gs(1300) for a three month old gs.is deducted.
