  • Thanks buddy.
Where is their godown? Is it too far?

We can chose the bike at the time of booking, right?
Then we can note down the engine number.

Did they allow you to drive the bike before selecting one?

their godown is in the same building i presume [I've not been there personally]... Actually i did a blunder when buying my babe.... Since I got held up in work and other activities, I took the bike which they allotted to me. But you can actually drive and choose the bike you want.. .. and yes.. better note down the engine number and the chasis number after you've chosen the bike.... I'll also be good if you be there personally when they take it for registration.[which is actually not necessary but atleast for 2 or 3 mins to confirm your vehicle]...

        • Hi all.. Its been a week since i got the grey babe.. but one thing i dont understand is that why is the gear so tight.? sometimes it is so smooth sometimes i find it hard to shift the gear whether up or down.?? I ask the technician, he said that it will take time for the gear to be smooth since the bikes is new.. he told me to drive in below 5500 rpm and maintain the constant speed (40-55 range).. after 1st service everything will be smooth........ please help

Well, my gears are almost similar, 3 services over till now
usually only 1st and 2nd gears are hard,(only sometimes),
sometimes it goes from 1st to neutral instead of 2nd even though i press the lever hard.
You can ride upto 60 actually, in 6th gear, at 4.5k rpm.(thats the limit i kept for first 800 km).

Also, i got some good news.
Free service camp is coming to b'lore in feb.

              Buddy,
Your engine is new & it will take sometime for things to settle down. The idle speed should be 60-65kmph @ 4500rpm for the 1st 1000kms & then you can raise it to 70-75kmph(occassinaly) for the rest 2000kms.Never go beyond 80-85kmph for the first 2000-2500kms.After 1st service things will be little better & always get your bike serviced in the service period mentioned in the service manual to keep the engine running in good health.

              ALL THE BEST.

No Bro,Life is always BEAUTIFUL .Its just that you think its cruel when things dont workout your way . I understand the eagerness to buy your beloved GS BUT just think that once you are back in May,there might be a totally different & enriched GS.

Till then you can enjoy the SBK's in Italy & follow this thread.

Yes man.... Even I do not know... Now my discs do not squeak as they did a month ago.... but still even the SC guys were not able to fix this issue... I heard some one here changed the discs alone and got rid of the problem... just check the previous pages and see if you can find it....
