FZ dropped bcos os seat design.. unicorn is there everywhere .. so booked GSR.. plus im a married man and have a 5 months old kid.. thats why i booked GSR.. but to be honest i wanna a bike like R15... im only 32 yaaar please help... to be honest augustine was my selection too bad .?..
No man, infact it is a very sensible choice. As per ur kid, he is too young to be even taken outside, forget on bike. Once he gets old enough, either bouth of you wear a welcro shirt n stick him up at the back, or have him wear a magnetic chaddi and put him on tank like tankbag

              • Folks, today I test rode GS at Airport road Suzuki Bangalore. Since I have been following this thread since the beginning I had a good idea about the bike's pros and cons. Even though the ride wasn't for more than 3-4 kms it was an amazing experience. The riding position, the pick-up, the ride quality all were excellent. Thumbs up for Suzuki

I examined one of the bikes thoroughly for the rust issues. Also I listed down all the issues in front of the showroom guy He agreed that older batch bikes had some issues, but now all of them have been addressed and asked me to take a ride and feel it myself Even I felt the same.

Hi, I have been following this thread for some time. I am from Kerala.
Got my Black GS150 last Wednesday. She's a real looker
Although the showroom guys were not giving any price reduction or extra accessories, they handed over the keys real fast
Till now the bike had been ridden only for 200 something KM's.
The suspension is real stiff. On rough roads its very hard to hold onto the handlebar. Hope it gets sorted out by the 1st service. Also there is slight vibration from the front fairing when riding @ lower gears.
But, on the highway the GS simply glides. Its a joy to counter-steer in long curves. Weight is a bit more but helps on highways as the bike feels well-planted.
Fuel consumption is approx 44 KMPL in stop-and-go traffic & 55+ KMPL on highway. Feels like it will increase after the service and with proper shifting of gears at right RPM'S.

                    I've got some queries..
whats everybody's opinion about the suspension. I think its a bit too hard.
Please correct if I am wrong..
Also were can I get good quality tank pads in Kerala (not those of Pulsar's, I need custom tank pads)

Wishing you all "HAPPY NEW YEAR" in advance....

                    • change the suspension setting to soft...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

                      • I asked the service person to change the setting the day after I bought the GS. It is now at position 2. But still the suspension is hard.
Also, the front forks are the main culprits, that's why the handle bar is difficult to handle in rough roads.

                            • I have covered about 200kms in my GSR bike so far. I have below queries

In cold start i start with full choke. After engine is started i leave the choke at half way. Wait for 1 minute. (Let the engine rotate at default 1K RPM). Then leave the choke at close position (normal). Then I run the bike. Is this procedure is right. While cold start Do i have to give some throttle and maintain RPM at 4K?

Then what is the kind of petrol I have to put

                              1. BP speed
                              2. Ordinary
                              3. shell ordinary

Please do clear above doubts and let me use the machine properly in break in period.

                              • Stick to ordinary fuels. Rest is fine.
