          • oh okay by the way as mentioned in your other thread is the bike too heavy for you? because our height and weights are similar and i feel its weight only with a heavy pillion rider behind! and parking is a bit difficult in crowded places

While riding its fine. i've tried with pillion weighing 75kg max, didnt have any problems,
(sometimes if i ride with a pillion for more than 10mins, it feels weird riding alone for sometime after that, bike feels light i guess)
Riding alone is awesome, going zig zag through traffic is easy.
parking is ok too as long as its a flat surface.
but to push the bike up a slope, just not possible (have to ask someone to pull/push from back)

              • For everyone @ Hyderabad...today morning I sent an email via SUZUKI website to find out their plans in having a service camp in Hyderabad like the one happening in Chennai now......few minutes back, I got a call from Vinod Natarajan in Chennai regarding this...

He told that currently they are planning to have service camps in all metros and probably they may have it in Hyderabad during January....he told that he will definitely inform if they finalize it.....

                • I am now facing a problem on my gsr.A mice has eaten up the wires which are below the seat.Due to which i do not get any gear indicator and the neutral indicator.I went to a local mechanic to inspect the bike.He told me to take it to the service center for the whole wire change.Any idea how much the whole wire change will cost. Also how can i keep rats away from the bike.

                    • camp!!

today i went for that free service camp. i reported rusted petrol tank, handle bar & poor rear brake.

they took photos of rusted parts and replaced my petrol tank & rear brake spring. now my rear brake is awesome. it acts like a disc... but now i am really afraid of applying rear brake.

but the resonance increased like anything.. engine oil also changed.. but nothing improved the smoothness.. i feel they made some misalignment while servicing.. i think to ride it for couple of days. and if it persists will take my bike on this saturday. to the sc.

Thank God the mouse did not feast on the innards while you were seated on the bike! Imagine if it ate things other than wires
                        ...jus joking..

Now....that is one of the most unusual problems anybody can face in a bike.....the most unusual I can say....

Mice eating up the wires.......well bro you might try something of that Ratkill or similar stuff....
but make sure that the rat does not die inside your bike....
Well not many solutions for his problem I think....

                          • ^^^ same thing happened when my Victor was parked for a few weeks when I was in the UK. When my brother took the bike out no electricals were working. He took it to the SC. They opened the Battery case and a big fat rat ran out of it. Wires were cut. Wiring harness costs approx Rs 800 and they didn't have time to do it. They connected the wires and taped it. Since then the bike has clocked about 40K KMs and has seen over 4 years pass by - working fine without troubling my pocket.

make sure you park your bike where there is a lesser chance of this repeating...or else you can try ratkill or similiar stuff as suggested.Have to say, that's one of the weirdest problems i've heard

                              • rectifier/regulator unit code

                                Hello,
i visited Swargate suzuki Pune yesterday for mileage issue, they did the CO setting and its has improved to 55 + (the reading it gave in 100 ml test ride was 5.5). So i am hoping that issue is resolved for now at least. I told them about poor headlight and gave them the news that electricals have been changed. The service manager seemed surprised, he inquired and got to know that it was indeed true. So he agreed to replace my Rectifier unit under warranty, but the problem was he didn't know whether the new bikes in his lot had it.
We checked my GS rectifier code it is SH727AA where as the new ones had "BA" as last two characters. He promised to confirm it and replace it in my 3 rd service which is next month.(I have taken it in writing so i can believe his promises.)

New GS owners kindly post the Rectifier code on xbhp. The code is there on the rectifier besides the engine. If you are not able to locate the recitifier/regulator then please reply i can post a pic.

Also guys i have a question (I know this has been discussed before pls bear with me), Can only by changing the rectifier/regulator and keeping everything same improve the headlight beam Or do i need a new bulb/ battery??

I was offered Tea n biscuits and they were also very courteous throughout the time i was there.
The real reason for their courtesy was that i had complained to suzuki twice on their site and also called their western region service manager..............
