Hi buddy, even i did 100ml test In my bike by SC,it stop at 6.2 means 62kmpl,but still it gives me 40 or 40+kmpl only,so check it ur mileage R to R,also about the bulb u asked , i changed the orginal bulb to philiphs extreme 12v 35w,which is slightly improved with old rectifier,I also informed my SC about new Rectifier,Originally posted by akhilrane View Post

New GS owners kindly post the Rectifier code on xbhp. The code is there on the rectifier besides the engine. If you are not able to locate the recitifier/regulator then please reply i can post a pic.

Finally i got my orange baby last day (16th dec 09). i took it from Malad.
while booking the dealer told me Helmet will be given free of cost, but finally he didn't gave me..
Here are the pics of my Orange Beauty..






but it is my first bike and i am learning from my own only..

I'm Sajith from cochin i have decided and booked GS150R color Grey after reading ur reviews............ i was in total confusion which bike to buy.. now i am convinced that suzuki is better.. though friends u know my first bike was suzuki shaolin, 2nd one pulsar 150 (first pulsar) and the third is pulsar 180 DTSi non digital 2006 model.. Now the fourth one is coming........ please do help me if there is any probs ok.. thank you.. will meet again...

Yesterday i got my bike from SC after 1st service. Need to mention 2 things, Rear brake is pathetic and gears shifting is becoming hard once engine gets hot, any idea what could be the reason? Right now i'm using shell advance, the gear shifting has improved, not ideal but improved anyway.
Sometimes the gear changes to next when i just give a little tap(especially 2nd to 3rd),wish all gears were like this

Next change i'll try elf moto4gold/pro, It has JASO MA2 spec so it may help making gear shifts more smooth.

Ask the high beam of the head lamp to be lowered a bit. The low beam gives out a beam that is too spread-out. Lowering the high beam solves the light problem to some extent, though you are compromising on highway driving at night.
Don't forget to get a good pair of rubber grips fixed on the handles.
Go ahead and book it...you'll love the bike!

Damn, today was the worst day ever.
Fell off my bike for the first time.
never thought i'd skid and fall in a million years
Stupid cement roads and rain, ruins the tyre grip completely.
Anyway, what all internal damages might have occurred.
i applied brakes, came almost to a stop(say 5km/h) from 40,
then skidded at the ending and fell to the right.
there are scratches on the brake lever(front and back),handle end, leg guard, and silencer, mirror bent but i managed to put it back somehow.
nothing major though since i managed to reduce the speed a lot.
luckily i'm fine, not even a scratch
Do i have to check wheel alignment or engine or if silencer has become loose or anything ?
And to top it all off, from yesterday my battery problem has come back.
display goes off if i use button start.

dude wat a coincidence even i fell of my bike but to the leftside nothing happened to me and my bike a minor scratch on indicator an brake lever thats it one car fellow suddenly opened the door
so i fell from my bike this is my first time from my 7yrs of experience any way there is no need to check ur silencer see that ur battery connections are good
I can put any Signatures :P
