        Seriously
I can claim insurance for minor scratches too ??(i only have to change the brake lever and chrome part on silencer)
Coz there was no FIR or police complaint or any other vehicle involved, just me.
I guess i could try asking but since when did insurance companies become so good ? i thought they hardly pay for damages unless its serious.

never thought i'd skid and fall in a million years
Stupid cement roads and rain, ruins the tyre grip completely.

Anyway, what all internal damages might have occurred.
          i applied brakes, came almost to a stop(say 5km/h) from 40,
then skidded at the ending and fell to the right.
there are scratches on the brake lever(front and back),handle end, leg guard, and silencer, mirror bent but i managed to put it back somehow.
nothing major though since i managed to reduce the speed a lot.
luckily i'm fine, not even a scratch
Do i have to check wheel alignment or engine or if silencer has become loose or anything ?

And to top it all off, from yesterday my battery problem has come back.
display goes off if i use button start.
Get the tyres changed buddy, because the rear Zapper Y is bad for wet surface and you loose grip very easily & that is the reason I changed to a better soft compound tyre which has Good grip even in wet conditions.

Good to hear that both of you are fine & only scratches on your bike. I know how it feels when you see scrathces on your Ride.

          • Guys, can anyone owning a black GS post its pictures please?
There are few black GS pictures here, but none like the Orange GS pictures posted in the previous page.

I am planning to buy a black beauty.

            • I have ridden the GS for 400km and done with the first service. But i have some querys.

              1) Whenever i shift gear from 1st to 2nd at 2-3k rpm i get a tak tak sound, but when i shift ar 4-5k rpm their is no sound why is it so.

              2) How to ride a bike at wht gear when you drive it uphill.Since when i drive on 2nd gear i feel less power.

              3) The bike feels like having less pick up at 2nd gear.

Yup, i should get it changed.
I was thinking of zapper Q.
But i would prefer tubeless. any idea about the cost ?
The showroom people said "why dont you atleast use the stock tyres for a year and then change". They were not sure but said it may affect warranty if some supervisor comes to check the bike. Didn't listen very closely so thats all i could follow

I agree with Vishal that the Zapper Y is not a good tyre in wet conditions....
A softer compund will do very good....you can go for Zapper Q or a Zapper C....
I think the Zapper C is better than the Q...because the Q looks good in the MRF site but when you fix it on a bike it does'nt inspire much confidence in you....
On the other hand the Zapper C is really a very good tyre and I can vouch for it....but I am not sure it can fit onto the GS...
Does GS have 18" or 17" Rims..???

These are the tyre specs :
                      2.75-18 42P
                      100/90-18 M/C 56P

                      So its 18inch rims.

                      • Hi guys.

I was looking for a nice bike for commuting and I personally like gs150, coz it looks fresh and have heard many good reviews about it.
Could you guys tell me how much fuel-average does it delivers under decent city riding?(avg is very imp)
Is it comfortable at 60-70kmph speeds??, I mean engine comfort and stability??
How is the transmission, refinement is another imp aspect for me.
How is the suzuki service and all??
And howz the seat, I have a really sensitive rearend.. so I really need a really soft seat.
(sorry could not fiddle around with posts in the ownership thread for answers.)

Zapper C is better than Q but C does not come in the size what we want that is 100/90/18. So you need to look for other options like Michelin M45 4.00 X 18 costs Rs.1800/- which is a direct fit but its a tube typed as we do not get Michelin's as tubeless. Else you can try VeeRubber, Duro & IRC which are imported soft compund tyres and come in the size of 100/90/18 or 110/90/18, also they are tubeless. They will cost around Rs.2000/- depending upon from which dealer you buy.

Try to buy the tyre from the tyrewalla you know so that its genuine & he is not fooling you.

Aahh, regarding the warranty, nothing happens to it.You can still retain it.Remember I had changed my rear tyre to a M45 & when the bike was inspected for problems by the Western regional manager,he never told me that my warranty is void & you know what happend after that....
So dont worry and change the tyre bindass & if they tell you anything tell them I cannot compromise on my safety and hence I changed the tyre because the Zapper Y is bad on road grip.Would you compromise on that? ask this question to the service head & just see his face then.

Congrats Parag for the new ride & Welcome to the world of GS150R.

                                All the best!!!!
