Buddy, the freebies you are referring to, buzzer, teflon coat, tank covers and seat covers, handle grip, they are completely dependent on the showroom and not suzuki. Some dealers give they above items free to advertise and make customers happy, so that they can get more sales.
Yeah that what i said. Showroom guy is bluffing nothing free can be given. If i got it. he should also ask...just have to convince him enough..

    • Guys, i did a bangalore- mysore trip on my gs150r.No problems faced at all. But at high speeds roughness was more. Did a top speed of 116kmph with a pillion.

      Here is the Travelougue.

One major issue which is affecting my top speed is when i go above 80 - 90kmph, i get frequent pauses as if the petrol flow has stopped. This is seriously affecting the top speed. What may be the issue?

bro which lodge did you stay in and how much was the cost??

could be water in the tank or something blocking the fuel line. I have noticed it on my bike as well. Should get the SVC to check it out at next service. What mileage did u get on the highway??

As it was weekend, the prices were higher than that of weekdays. We didnt go for expensive one as it was just for one night stay. Price was around 700 bucks. Name i guess is Vaishnavi Lodge. But sunday morning we regreted for chosing that lodge becoz there were issues concerning my bike parking and also hot water non availability.

          • Need some guidence

            Hey guys...

Hope some of you remember me!!
Got my bike on last Monday...Very much satisfied with the ride and enjoying every bit of it

            ODO reads 400km...
Although today I noticed some strange thing(i wouldn't presume it as an issue but need some help on this)
On a good road whenever I I accelerate linearly, (say shift gears at around 3 - 3.5k rpm) I could feel some times the bike is kinda shaking(well shaking is not the word I was looking for) Its something like going over a bunch of speed breakers only imagine that the speed breakers are very small and smooth and its just that kinda feeling.. Don't know whether something strange with the front suspension but I could feel this at regular intervals.
tyre pressure is proper (front 25 psi and back 3 psi)..
So any idea what could be the reason..
Since my first service is not yet done I am not much worried about it but thought of clarifying this in here....

little shaking...you mean up & down?? it's normal with new bike...suspension system needs to wear out a bit after which it will operate smoothly. I also have faced similar condition during first 300km...but if it's wobbling, then consult SC...My bike's front tyre was changed by SC for wobbling issue.

congo if you have got your bike. trust Shree Sai Suzuki people, they are pretty good. Don't worry about coating..they really do it. You can see the difference just by looking at non coated bike. Ask for Mr. Tawade at Shree Sai SC at Luise wadi and give my reference. He will ensure your bike is serviced properly. anything else...you have my No. enjoy your ride!!!

                • Mileage

Hi guys. Thanks Pawan for ur suggestions. Will chk with the SVC for sure on the rusting of Disc brake issue.

OK 1 thing I wanted to ask u guys is that "how to chk the mileage of my bike?" I know this may seem a stupid Q, but I dont really know of any foolproof methodology.

I got my tank full on 2 occassions and everytime i didnt get any specific answers. I filled 1000 rs worth of petrol ie, 15.66 litres. the bike ran for close to 680 kms before the fuel indicator started to blink. after another 10 kms i again refilled it to the same amt and naturally the same quantity of petrol got filled.

Then I got a little confused. Well I again fgot my tank full. Only this tyme the amt was more(due to price hike), but the quantity was same. Now tell me guys, how shud I gauge the Mileage?

hi...glad to hear that your bike is doing well. Next time try to notice the RPM band when this vibration happens. Check if it happens between a specific band. If yes then post here. we can tell you the what the problem. although it may not have a solution...

there is no sure shot method to check mileage. There is a bottle test available at many service shops. That is reliable. IF you want a rough mileage then let the bike hit reserve. Fill one litre, set the odo to 0 and drive till next reserve. check distance travelled = mileage +/- 5 km roughly..

                        • @ varun.......

Please make sure of the following before calculating
                          1. Reset the trip meter to 0 immidiatly after reaching reserve.

                          2. Reserve is not the blinking bar in the speedo meter, reserve should be counted from the time you turned the petrol knob to reserve.

                          3. The calculation is like kms covered / ltrs petrol used

                          i-e 680 kms / 10 ltrs = 42.Xxxx kmpl

Also remember all petrol bunks won't give genune quantity / quality petrol.

for mileage check the best way is the bottle method.

And the expensive way is fill the tank (littrally) its not 10 or 15 ltrs just fill it till the brim and drive it for another 150 kms and again fill it till brim, now calculate using how much petrol it holds on second fill (after full tank) / kms covered

                          Example
Petrol filled on second fill = 2.5 ltrs
                          Kms covered = 150

                          150 / 2.5 = 60 kmpl

i'm keeping a record of total petrol filled since I bought the bike to get avg mileage and I guess when I get decent distance on the odo I'll have a fairly accurate average figure for mileage.

There is no specific RPM range where it happens but yeah as Mazaid said its like series of very small up and down action. Anyways whenever that happens I will be in the range of 3 - 4 k rpm..So wil see if its just the suspension issue.
                                Thanks for your suggestion..

BTW I did the most stupidest thing yesterday
While cleaning the bike on weekend I found a bend in the part which encases the Rear brake cable( how dumb of me !!! dont even know the exact word for that part its the part which is on the right side and is parallel to the chain case).
I was in a shock that its a dent and the first thing I did is to call SVC and they said to bring the bike which i did the next day itself.
Then they had a look at it and they checked other GSs in their stock and then said its the design and not a dent ..I too checked 4-5 bikes and all of them had the same bent like structure...Felt so embarrassed but hey its my bike and i have every right to get concerned right
