We heard such roumours / information from last year end itself, let's wait and see what suzuki gonna bring us

Bro, I see that this post was dated March 2007 and we already our babe . Waiting to see GS in 180/225 cc segment. I read a review about GSX600 in overdrive, and was happy about that. But I do not see any news of it getting released in our market .

@MSN - Thanks bro for your suggestions regarding engine oil. I found that the culprit ws not the engine oil but the chain and tuning. After service my bike is great and back to the smooth sailing feeling. Just waiting to see how the milleage is .

Either a 180cc version of GS150R would be upcoming or the Slingshot 150.

I say this because, at first Suzuki planned a 175cc bike for India, but it boiled down to the GS150R.I would be happy if Suzuki floats that plan again and prices the 180cc bike in the Yamaha FZ and Honda Dazzler range.

There would not be the need of another 150cc if there is to be a 180cc, it is because GS150R is already doing great being a 150cc bike.All it needs is some color scheme here or a tank change there and so on.Hence I can be less hopeful for a Slingshot 150 and be more than hopeful for the 180.

The GW250 is already there, a matter of time before it would be locally sold here.

One more thing, if there is really a 180cc bike upcoming, my GS150R would be up for sale

I won't mind if Suzuki does a matured thinking and offers a 150cc bike like the SZ-R,a 180cc bike like the RTR180 with the sixth gear and full of smoothness.

Aare bhai.. it happens like.. i was riding on highway, there is a traffic signal.. theres 20 secs left to pass from it and almost all vehicles have been passed from it so i open full throttle to pass from it quickly.. but suddenly an uncle on Activa tried to break signal and came in front of me.. at that time i was at 70kmph so breaking is not possible and he was just 5feet away from me.. i completely lean my bike on right side to save us both.. but unluckily my left leg guard hit on the back side of activa and my bike skidded on right side, i fall from bike and rolling all over road..
that uncle escaped from there .. when i stopped rolling i quickly stand-up and checked my self for any injuries and checked my wallet and mobile is there or not.. luckily its all fine.. after that i have seen that one guy is lifting my bike.. he almost made it straight but dropped it again and i was laughing.. then i have gone there and lifted it myself..
around 10-15 people came to see me and asked me r u ok or not? r u able to walk? can u ride bike? i said yes m completely fine
after that i hit start button and bike got start in single crank..
i started riding to go home.. after riding 2kms i stopped aside highway and checked all the damages on bike .. and guyz there was lots off damages on bike.. also theres scratches on helmet also..
after reaching home had a bath and took it to SVC..
got it after 15 days..
Till now bike is 5 months old and completed 8000kms on odo with an accident...

Guys ride safe and wear helmets... that looks good on head not on mirror...

My Question:-
After accident i have replace the tank with new one.. but its completely rusty from inside.. so will they give me replacement for this or not, as i have paid around 4000 RPs for it??

Now you are using a new tank and rust is there on the new tank

well even if your bike warranty expires the new tank should be under warranty as it was bought very recently, so go ahead and ask them to provide a new tank as the purchased (tank) product is defective..,

Castrol Power 1 is JASO MA2, refer below link and I seen the MA2 in 1 ltr pack also

May be the dealer whom you inquired had old stock or possible duplicate oil in old can

Well gave my bike for first servicing today and I can't wait to get this over with so that I can take her till 6k RPM
Issues I told the SVC :
1.Not able to engage in First gear quite often at times when the engine is hot.(believe me it was so difficult to put it in first gear some times i put in 2nd and went off)
2.High beam is looking at the sky.So asked them to adjust properly
3.Tighten the rear brake
4.Check the suspension

So will be getting it back today evening and will take her on weekend rides

PS: Any of you guys fitted ladies handle( I asked in SVC and they said not possible)..

Yes we can fit ladies handle. But I am not sure it will be useful. It's very low for the ladies to catch it

engine probs and rectification....................

On 19th there was Suzuki service camp at saboo.....Hyderabad.

I met Mr vinode natarajan and explained my gs engine prob and he tested the gs and changed the following engine parts....

1)cylinder.
2)piston.
3)ring set, piston.
4)pin,piston.
5)crankshaft.
6)bearing crank shaft right and left (both).
7)balancer comp ,crank.
8)gear,crank balancer drive.
9)gear,crank balancer driven.
10)bable assay,clutch.
11)gasket.
12)suzuki engine oil.

Now i am on run in so cannot comment much on the improvement, but there is some improvement...will post the review after 1500 kms.

hope this will settle the gs once forever

As far as the service is good, I have not much of worries
Even yesterday Mr. Kalyan (Service head SMK) enquired about the performance of my bike after service, but i was away for almost 10 days.....

My bike is showing some difference in mileage for last 2-3 weeks. Now its 50 KMPL and earlier it was 58KMPL consistent after 2nd service. Around 1000KM before 3rd service, I've this service. Now my ODO reads 6500+KMs. My normal riding speed is 55-60 in city and 60-75 in highways and normally covers 65-80KMs per day. Any idea about this difference?

Mansoon started pouring in Kerala. Its the first rain season for my GS. Now I've to wash it daily to make it clean. Is there any engine guard available for our bike or any other solutions to protect it from mud?

wow..they have almost given you a new engine..how much did they charge you for it...

I hope no charge....and it will cover under warranty
