It is a problem of almost all the new generation bikes, started intentionally with first generation Pulsar. But if the pillion rider (the partner) is your GF, this weight will not bother you. Think positive, try that way and try to replace the pillion rider. All the best.

I can let you on a small technique availed by me and moto-focused riders to overcome this.Originally posted by varunbikerboy View PostThe problem that I was facing was that my partner used to lean forward while braking thus causing all the weight to be transfered on my hands.
During such a braking, try to get your elbows outwards as much as possible, just like as if you are a bird and flap your wings/elbows up.
You will find when the weight is transferring to the handlebars, spread your elbow outwards........you would notice something very safe and exciting at the same time.Try it once.Hell's Angel

Varun,
If your bike is with in 3000 kms old means this will happen as engine and its support parts are settling down.
To be more clear. Engine parts are now getting more polished (read as settled) from the time they (SVC) tuned your bike idle, so they need to tune it again to set the idle / carb to fix the engine knocking during cold start.

Re GS seat design:
Just remembered those initial days of GS with my family,
Wife was bit struggled to hold her place only while applying sudden breaks, because of the higher seat position for the pillon she gets pushed towards me and that cause a crushing feel for me,
To avoid so pillon seat needs some grip, instead of ladies handle, I used the net (which is available with many seat cover makers shop for 25 to 75 rupees) the pillon seat, that fixes the issue on my GS.
Its the same net which college students used to keep books on FZ and other bikes.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity
Currently Using Gusto |Enfield Bullet 500 | Ecosport Titanium+ Diesel

Madhu,
I forgot it but now I remember your posting.
Can you please PM me the details about the staying facility, rent, climate etc.at Chidambaram. How long were you there? I have a plan to visit there within a few weeks or perhaps few days.
Please PM to [email protected].
Most of this kind of problems are when the females sit in the customary way of one side. If the bike is braked at a high speed, there is a possibility of being thrown away especially if they are holding a child.
I have no idea about the net you mentioned but I doubt how helpful it may be.

Trip to Akola
Hi All, I want to share my experience about GS150. Last weekend I travelled 1100 km in two days. ( Pune to Akola (Maharashtra) ~ 550 kms & return journey)
I have not face any problem with GS during entire journey.
Average speed ( 80 % time) ~ 80 to 95 km/hr
Top speed 110 km/hrs ( not tried to go beyond 110 as warning light starts blinking)
Mileage ~ 48 km/ltr

Considering your speed, 48 kml is not a very low mileage. How is the 3.5 k vibration now?

But you have detected my addiction well friend
Suzuki can always bring back a scrapped project if they wish to..........they had a 175cc bike on cards during the times of post Heat/Zeus launch. But they held their horses.Originally posted by vishnukmd View PostAs Augustine pointed out, the posting Maestro mentioned is very old; on 7/3/2007.
Well, their erstwhile partner TVS, did not have much rapo among Indian biking populace till the launch of RTR series which now has Fuel injected and 180cc bikes.
Being the company which markets something like Hayabusa.......we can always expect the better if not the best.
@Maestro : May all your dreams be fulfilled if it turns out to be true

Another one is Gladius 650 cc. Its marketing was expected in 2010 but what happened? Their investment here is about 450-500 crores, the products are splendid but lack marketing strategy. Without it, they cannot expect an increase in the market share. Lowering the price alone cannot make a product hit in the market.
The soap Fa was introduced here without any advertisements, but failed in the market even though it us a good product. Later they increased its price, started a huge marketing campaign and now it is going comparatively well. Pears is far ahead of Lux, but the former do not come anywhere near the latter in sales. Our females are bathing with that useless soap, Lux, twice or thrice a day, hoping to become Aishwarya Rai they see in the cinema through a metamorphosis.
Let us hope Suzuki will be foolish enough to market another higher cc bike in India, sooner or later where the market is almost saturated. I too am awaiting it. A miracle may happen anytime, anywhere.
We need both hope in the soul and soap in the hole. One to live and the other to bath.
Pears is a good bath soap.

LMAO!!!!!!

i really like the way u put things on the table @vishnukmd i dunno if i m the enlighten one (and many more like minded people) who analyse n research things before they buy or use it..... but in india if a cricketer or an actress or heck any other important or famous person uses or promotes a product people go crazy for that product.... even if its inferior... just dont understand the logic...... hence MNC companies in india pump in millions or mebbe billions of money each year just for stupid ads.... money which could be ernstwhile used for a better product..... or dunno mebbe use it for the betterment of society... god knows where the world is headed tooo.....
update on my GS clocked in 5200Kms will be giving it for 3rd service in 4-5 days m happy with the performance n the mileage (m getting 47-48 KMpl) couple of days ago went on a long ride (100kms) n noticed bike didnt go beyond 100 Kmph (in god mode) came back to the svc n they retuned the carb to the CO value to 16-17(dunno the unit was in a hurry) n even dunno what he retuned mebbe the air fuel mixture screw (it was on the left side of the carb when we sit on the bike) feeling lazy to go back read the retuning of our carb so pls enlighten me.....
Ahhh one more thing guys saw a dream today that i was riding my GS and it had just started raining heavily n suddenly out of nowhere a stone comes in my path n i fall of from my bike .... i m not hurt but the bike is bruised very badly n i sit n start crying... take it to a local mechanic n he gives me a very huge bill..... m saddened to the core that the bike is damaged so badly..... n suddenly my alarm goes offf n i get up in an upset mood......

can any of u psychics decipher the meaning of this dream?????
n pears is not a gud soap man....

3 times i take a bath with it, n the soap vanishes

i guess another of those marketing gimmicks

how could u not "see through it" Vishnu
